I get my hair done here all the time. I love that you can call ahead and set a time. I also like that they have my preferences on file so I do not have to remember them all. This is important as I also get my beard trimmed there and I always forget which blade is used where. Price is not bad but I do try and wait until they are running one of their specials. I loved this location. It's about a 15 minute drive so online check-in is great. Today it showed a 52 minute wait so we went there and stopped at Jack in the Box for lunch. We got our food, saw it showed a 6 minute wait and rushed over. Got there, my son's name was 2nd and my app showed 2 minutes. They told us no, there are now two people ahead of us as I watched my son's name move to the number 1 spot and 0 minute wait on the app. I pointed it out and they said sorry a stylist just went on lunch. Which is fine but why take walk-ins before us? What is the point of online check-in if we lose our spots to a walk-in? Why let the app count down if they don't really have that spot available? We have supported them for over two years. Always tip at least 40-50%. Just some consideration would've been nice. Ended up going to an actual barbershop where we waited but they communicated the time frame, which is what I appreciate. Sadly we won't be back to this Great Clips. read more

I got my long wavy hair layered at an upscale salon. I was very unhappy with it because it had no real style and didn't fall right. I booked another appointment with the same stylist. It took forever for her to figure out how to correct the haircut and she blamed it on my hair. When I got home and really checked out the cut I saw that the 2 sides were very uneven, up to 3 inches uneven. It cost me a lot of money for a lousy cut. I decided to check out reviews for Great Clips and saw a very good one for Britney along with pictures. I went to see her and she straightened out my botched haircut in about 20 minutes for $8.99 plus tip. I was blown away. Great work! read more

I've used this place on a few occasions because it is close by and convenient just to stop in when I am nearby. I was more than satisfied with my visit there as well as my haircut. I was able to get in and out relatively quickly and the women who cut my hair were pleasant and easy to talk with. I will definitely go there again when my wife is too busy to cut my hair. read more

Unfortunately she was busy the last time I went in and Chelsey cut my hair. When I went into the shop my hair was past my shoulder blades and now it is not even touching my shoulders. I've only been to Great Clips twice and this last time was the last. My "stylist" did a job that my husband would have been able to do for free. It is uneven and not layered like I requested. Sure, it's shorter but totally blunt. Not what I wanted. Couldn't tell how bad it was until I was home and my hair had dried. On top of that, she was a smoker and must have just come off a cigarette break because her hands stank of smoke. Gross. Not going back. read more

I had the roughest haircut of my life today. Chelsea was constantly pulling my hair and getting it tangled around the round brush. She hit my eye and forehead with the brush while blowing me out. After saying owie for the third time I finally just asked her to stop. It was nice that she didn't charge me for the style and she took me back right away. First of all, you cannot expect a perfect stylist since its rotating stylist and hair cuts only cost about $13. But that being said, I go there once a month and no where else. For this style and price range for haircuts I have been happier with them than every other place I've been to like it. I love that you can check in online too so you do not have to wait. I have taken my kids here before for cuts - boy and girl- and have never had the awful cut I got last night. My bangs look like a two year old cut them and they are so short that there is no way to fix them. I would recommend them for kids hair or guys hair - but ladies - not so sure if you should trust them with your hair. read more

If you are looking for a Great Clips, choose another location. I went in and met MARGO, one of the rudest nastiest attitudes I've met in my entire life (came across as mean-hearted and prejudice), and I spoke nice with her the whole time, which wasn't much time because she cut me off while I was trying to introduce myself and walked away to do whatever she was doing in the back break room, leaving me, a stranger in the store completely alone indefinitely, which I'm sure she wasn't supposed to do. After I left, her or another employee went and smoked a cigarette right there in front of the store, which I'm sure is also not okay with corporate. Not a good look! read more

I needed to get a haircut, so I decided that I would try a different hair salon. I have gone to both private salons and "chain store" salons, with somewhat mixed results. From my experiences, private salons are more expensive, but usually you have better treatment. Recently, I used a different grocery store than I usually use. While there, I discovered a Great Clips at 1032 El Norte Parkway, so that is where I decided to give try. Bad decision. I called that location about an hour before I was planning to go. I was told that they don't make reservations per se, but you can "check in" via computer, which you would think was the same thing. Got on the computer and "checked in" at that location. After that, I was steered to the Great Clips Corporate website to receive a discount coupon code. I saved the page on my phone, because there was nothing specifically to print out. I arrived within 45 minutes of when I "checked in." That was completely useless and a waste of my time, because I gave my name and told them that I checked in online, they had no idea or record of who I was?!? So taking the time to check in, as they told me to do, was just a waste of my time. Great computer system that doesn't save your information? The stylist told me the wait was about 5 minutes. That was fine. I mentioned to the stylist that I had a discount coupon code on my phone. She said that was fine, but wasn't sure how to enter it into their system. She brought the "Manager" over so she can see how to correctly enter the information into their system. I showed the "Manager" what I had saved on my phone. She then tells me that the "owner" of the location DOES NOT HONOR THOSE COUPONS??!!?? I then pointed out the fact that the coupon was issued from Great Clips Corporate Headquarters! That's when the "manager" repeated herself and said that they DO NOT HONOR ANY DISCOUNT COUPONS!! I then said that the "owner" was a cheap piece of shit, told her that I would never again use their services, and walked out! I just found it both interesting and pathetic that the "owner" of a franchised business blatantly refused to honor a discount coupon that was both issued and designed by their corporate headquarters?!? I am not sure if that it is even legal to refuse to honor a legitimate and valid discount coupon which was specifically designed by the Company's Headquarters to generate business for all of the franchisees??!?? DO NOT GO TO THIS GREAT CLIPS LOCATION, UNLESS YOU DON'T MIND HAVING A 5 MINUTE DISCUSSION OF OVER A $3 DISCOUNT.... read more

This place is ABSOLUTELY HORRID. I went in to get a trim and being a regular they have my hairstyle in their system. She reads the hair cut I want and begins. The hair cut is three inches long in the back and blend it well. The idiot working there saw three and began to put on the 3 attachment on the razor and began shaving my head. By the time I realized it, my 5 inches of hair turned into 1/2 an inch of hair. I went in needing a trim and left looking like the back and sides of my head was in the military and the top looking like a normal couple inch haircut. One would be better off giving a blindfolded monkey scissors at least you can pay them in bananas. Never go to this place ever.
