Extremely kind staff! and very friendly vibe within the store. When I had come in I had requested long layers with face framing pieces. I usually get my hair cut at great cuts although at a different location and I have never had any complaints! However this great cuts I had specifically asked for the layers to be blended and seamless, to which the hair dresser said all layers are like that (which i was thinking sometimes people want shaggy hair cuts so those layers are more choppy? idk.) I didn't take a picture of the back of my head but my family told me that she didn't really layer my hair, more like razored the edges and that bottom just looked uneven and thin. Which it didn't feel like the usual haircut I get, but I figured maybe other people have different methods? I try not to question professionals. and im not sure if this piece counts as a face framing piece (the picture attached), but i feel that that piece was especially not blended. i usually hate leaving negative reviews but hopefully the hair dressers can read this and hopefully improve a little because other than that this hair dressers was super kind, friendly, and sweet. I'm usually pretty easygoing, but I was disappointed with my recent visit to Great Clips. I had signed in online and checked in when I arrived, but while I was waiting they took a walk-in customer who had not signed in and seated them before me. The whole point of online check-in is to help manage the wait and hold your place in line, so it was frustrating to see that not followed. It ended up making my wait longer than it should have been. I hope the staff can be more consistent about honoring the online check-in order in the future, because it really affects the customer experience. read more

Based on my past/present experiences coming here I've always had really positive experiences. I've come in for little trims and have never had an issue. I've come in for big changes and walk out sooo happy! The last time I went in I chopped 4-5 inches off of my hair and had layers added and a curtain bang, my favorite hair cut for sure. read more

Checked in online at 1:35pm (37mins wait time) Arrived in salon around 2pm with only one person waiting. Checked in but don't know where we are on the list because they didn't have their monitor on. Male customer that walked in 2 customers after us, DID NOT check in online but was added when he walked in. Then he was told by the one stylist that he was going to be next! My son didn't get called til after 2:20pm. Stylist that took my son told the family next to me that they were next after my son. Three customers later and that family was still waiting!! Turn on the monitor so we know where we are in line and that the stylist aren't taking other clients first because they are their "regulars!" If it's broken, then fix the damn thing! This is my 3rd review of this place. First two weren't great, but it seems they have turned things around. The online check-in worked great this time. I checked in online and showed up to say I arrived. I was 4th on the list on their screen. Got called by Jeannie within 5 minutes. She was very attentive to detail. Again, this is not a fancy salon or barber, so it's not THAT level of detail, but basic questions and requests were honored and it was a good result. The staff all seemed to get along and it was a relaxing, joke-filled atmosphere. Not the tenseness and arguing I saw last time. Lastly, they were blasting music and singing along to classic rock. Absolutely terrible. I went in and asked for an inch-inch and a half trim, with curtain bangs and LIGHT layers, and that is not what I received. She cut about 3-4 inches, my bangs are completely straight, she cut a chunk near my ear that doesn't match the rest, and she thinned my haIr out. I don't know what scissors she used, but I started with thick hair, and now it's completely thin and not what I asked for. She didn't even ask to thin it out, she said it was "volumizing and toning". I specifically asked for the bangs to not be too short, and I can't put them behind my ear. Overall, My hair is thin and uneven, with botches everywhere and terrible "bangs". I always have to go to the store without checking in for 9 am appointment. But since customers don't even know if the owner will open the door on time. Great experience! I've been overdue for a haircut due to COVID and watching the wait times at 2 locations close to home. They've been running long the last couple of weeks. Lucked out this rainy Saturday morning with no wait. Checked in on the app and walked right in. The salon was empty and CLEAN! Kristy greeted me right away, was wearing a mask, asked me the COVID questions, and took my temp. Taken right back to her chair and given a great cut in short order with pleasant conversation. Also scored a coupon on my receipt so will bring my little soon for a cut too. I'll happily return for my next haircut. After I got home and told the hubby about my great experience he said he's had Kristy cut his hair several times too and is always happy with her haircuts. Got here with 5 minutes left on my check in timer waited 15 minutes as four people got seated and I asked when my turn was next they said 25 minutes more I left and said fuck this place. It's not on them and the stylist and I apologize for my outburst in the salon but I'm frustrated with the check in process it has never been reliable and I hope it changes but I will not be going to a great clips anytime soon. So happy salons were able to open again. I'm so sorry I picked this location to take my toddler to. Our stylist (if you even want to call her that) was rude and insensitive. Don't bother taking your baby or toddler to get a haircut. I'm out $20 and my son has a messed up up haircut that will need to be fixed. They wouldn't let him sit on my lap so he had to sit in a booster chair alone and didn't want to sit. There aren't many "kid" specific salons and I don't have the luxury of cutting his hair myself. I got a hair cut here, and it was badly done. (Kimberly was the lady) I needed it before going on vacation. My entire vacation I did wear my hair in a bun. I was gone for a week. When I returned, I finally straightened my hair and wore it down. Upon actually styling it I realized it was cut badly and uneven. I still had long hair stands in the back. I returned back to the store to fix it, YES I UNDERSTAND THERE IS A CERTAIN POLICY ABOUT HOW MANY DAYS I CAN RETURN BACK TO FIX ANY MISTAKES, but I have never in my 6 yrs of going there ever been let down by their hairstyles and customer service. I never had to return before,and as a loyal customer I thought they would maybe offer a complimentary fix. Or a discount. I would have even settle for acknowledgement of their mistake. Nothing. The older lady with short white hair who was wearing a leopard sweater was extremely rude and inconsiderate. The whole time having a smirk on her face like I was stupid or silly for bothering to try. Wouldn't help or give a solution, only told me I can sit down in their chair and pay for another haircut. I did not mean to go so many days without returning promptly but I did leave the same day as my haircut on vacation and stupidly I guess I trusted the place and their stylists and immediately placed my hair in a bun and went about my vacation week. Showering my hair when needed but as you know haircuts look quite different when wet, I don't think I've ever been disappointed with this place before and like I mentioned I've been a loyal customer for years. I at least expected some respect.
