The males in the house badly needed haircuts before leaving town. Although they had recently been going to Sports Clips by Target, no complaints there, Great Clips by Lowes was the only place open late on Friday night (til 9 PM). We walked right in and there were no other customers. There were 2 stylists but one was packing up and leaving. The stylist we had listened to our preferences, was very kind to the child, quick but not rushed, and both males rec'd nice looking haircuts (and the adult an eyebrow trim). We were out of there in about 35 - 40 minutes. We even bought some hair gel for the kiddo. Good place for guys and kids. Really appreciated the extended hours. As is usual for these types of places, I'm sure the outcome varies depending on which stylist is available. I would send the guys again. read more

Azizeh was my hairstylist. I walk in show her a picture of exactly how my hair was cut from my personal barber and she says she can do it. Shes rough with the razor on your head and doesnt pay attention to detail. Talks to other guests and looks outside. I tell her a slight trim maybe half an inch and she cuts 1.5 inches off. Nothing about my hair is straight and the fade is horrible. I think a blind man could have cut my hair better than she did. I went to this store to cut my bang last weekend. a middle-aged asian lady cut my hair, I'm really sure she don't know how to cut. her cut my bang shot and ugly. I just tell her can't cut girl's bang too shot that is ugly. She give me so much chicanery, said I don't ask her don't cut too shot. she think my bang looks good. I can not communicate with her. The stylist, Hamid, was honest with me about the picture and my current bang layers. We found a good half way point for a hairstyle. After thinking about the cut, I returned a week later. I have always had an excellent experience at the Great Clips in the Lowe's shopping center. I have my hair cut by Lynn and she always does a fabulous job. My hair is always cut the way I like it and extra is done such as trimming of eyebrows ,etc. Suggestions are also given as far as things to enhance or improve the styling and care of my hair, which is appreciated because I am not up to speed on the latest and greatest when it comes to these type of things. I also have other family members who have had their hair cut by Lynn and have have been extremely satisfied by service and hair cut they revived. Absolutely the best place I have been to for haircuts for young children. My grandson is a wiggle worm and Erin has the "fastest clippers" around. I had a HORRIBLE experience at this location on Thursday, 6/19. I've come here before and saw other people. I have 6 kids and usually take 5 of them to this location or the other one in town. I came to get my son a haircut. The manager, Evelyn cut his hair. My son is only 3 and while she was cutting his hair, he said his nect hurt. When she was triming the back of his head she held his head down as most stylists do, but he said it to me twice. So I asked her politely not to force his head down. She was upset that I even said something to her and I asked her to be patient with him as he was only a 3 yr old child. Long story short, she was upset and said she wasn't forcing his head down. I even undid the apron at the neck because it was on tight and he kept looking up at my telling me it hurt. I had to help her hold him in place to get the cut. Evelyn was VERY RUDE. We got into a screaming match. It was very embarrassing to say the least, but I was not about to let her treat me that way. I can't believe she would treat a client like that. She half finished his cut and didn't even wipe him down. At one point, and there were other clients there in getting a cut and waiting, she told me to "SHUT MY MOUTH" and said that I only paid $7.99 for a hair cut! I told her I paid $9.99 (I had a coupon for this location only which is why I came to the one by Lowes) and it didn't matter what I paid. I am still a CUSTOMER and should NEVER be treated this way. I left humiliated and embarrassed and will NEVER go there to get any hair cuts. She said she would refuse me service and I said, "why, because I asked you to be patient with my son and not force his hair down?" I can't believe she is the manager of a salon. She does not have any customer service and should never talk to a client like that, EVER. I was not rude with this woman until she started to give me an attitude and raise her voice to me. She seemed like she wanted to rush his cut only to get the next person in her chair. She completely lacks customer service! She was a very rude lady should never be in charge to manage a salon. I left, but quickly returned when I saw that she didn't trim my sons bangs. I hadn't even left the parking lot, but since we were leaving out of town, I wanted to get it fixed. I was so upset at the time that I didn't notice it. Sunny was kind enough to finish my sons cut. He was patient with my son and treated him like a person, spoke to him like he mattered. He even gave me advise to have my son's hair buzzed at a 2 vs a 1, but since it's summer I wanted his hair short. He said because of the scalp it's hard to blend it in well. I was thankful for his service. I called back and asked for the owner's name, but Evelyn quickly hung up on me. She told me earlier the customer is not always right. I told her she should never talk or treat a customer the way she did. It was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I called back to get the owners name from Sunny, but he said he didn't have it since he just started. So I go in during the day for a simple trim around the ears and neck, and asked the hairdresser Tina to leave the top and around it, for I am growing it out. After making must clear, Tina decides to trim my hair all the way up to the top of my head in the back. So at this point, I have no choice but to have the rest of the sides and back trimmed short, all the way up to my top head, no fade or blend as I asked for. Then she proceeds to start cutting the hair on top of my head. I told her to stop. By this time I was getting upset, and realized the hair I spent 4 months growing out is gone. Yet she left the bangs untouched, so now I hAve 4 inch bangs and one inch top back hair.....I look like a rooster, or a unicorn now, and I can't figure out how to manage this new butchered mop of mine. They made me pay full price anyways. This place is horrible, I'm never coming back, after 5 Years. I warn you all, and trust me I'm not the only one with this opinion. There was a guy in the chair and two kids waiting so the woman who was working called in another stylist. They got to me after the first kid was done so not too bad.
