We have been going to Great Clips for years. Prices have climbed to $25. We were sent a postcard with a $15 haircut which is helpful. This Great clips is conveniently located next to Stater bros. Parking is plenty. I love that you can check in online and know how long the wait is. We came around 1pm and there was no wait until i arrived. The wait grew to 29 minutes. We were taken back right away because I checked in online. The haircuts are super fast. Nothing too fancy. My teen son said the hairdresser dropped the razor on his leg. He did have a red scratch. I was helped by Alex, she was very welcoming, attentive, and she always asked my opinion on how I wanted my haircut to look. We talked and she gave me useful advice about my hair care. This was our first time here even though we've been to this Stater Bros shopping center many times. One of my daughters and I needed a quick cut on our bangs. We should have checked in online in advance, but we walked in and had about a 30 minute wait. We decided to wait and it seemed pretty quick to get our turn. This place had a steady flow of customers, but a decent amount of seating. One of the hairdressers helped us, can't remember her name, but she was really nice. She was efficient and friendly. I have been in this facility over the past two years getting my hair trimmed. The last two times the service was terrible. While the persons cutting my hair were very nice, the job that they performed was very bad. This place has horrible service. Not one to go out of my usually to write reviews. They have terrible customer service. Two people waiting in the waiting room when i get inside. Those two people were helped and then about 6 or 7 people come walking in and get helped before me. I understand if they make an appointment and they can take a few people. Maybe 3 or 4 before a walk in customer comes in but 6 or 7 maybe 8 people before they take a customer that didnt set an appointment is ridiculous. I have never been here before but I needed a haircut badly and my usually stylist moved away. The check-in process was cool. I actually checked in while I was shopping down the road. Once I showed up I sat in my car for a while because it still said I had a 40 minute wait. I would periodically look down at my phone. Finally it changed to 27 minutes. Then a few minutes later it immediately changed to "0" so I sprinted from my car to the shop....I sat down as all the stylists were busy...and noticed my app now showed my wait time to be 18 minutes!! So odd but I was actually called back maybe a minute or two later... My stylist was Martha and she asked me questions to see what cut I was looking for and how I typically wear my hair. She gave me a great cut and thinned it out because I have really thick hair. I think sometimes these places that operate in doing high volume tend to hire people right out of cosmetology school so you have to know that going in. I think I was lucky enough to get an experienced stylist. I have a short style so I am not super picky....because even a mistake or two can be masked with a good styling wax. I've never had long hair or defined myself by my hairstyle ---hell to me hair is overrated. Give me a good wash n go look and I'm happy...life is too short to whine about a $20 haircut. read more

I've never seen the same hair dresser twice at this location- My kids and husband included! I had a horrible haircut that took months to grow out. And I made the mistake of taking my son, just assuming it'd be a different experience. My son has had some of the worst haircuts from this location. The hairdressers do not listen. They go too short, they don't try to blend it. Their work was lazy and showed no effort. No matter what picture you show them, they do what ever they want. Maybe they don't know how to cut different styles, but it seems like all the boys walk out of here with the same haircut. We won't be going back again. I've learned my lesson. The great clips app that is supposed to save you time is useless. Even if you check in online, you have to check in and wait at the location when you get there. The estimated time is never accurate. This location does not have a list showing who is next in line, which is a big issue for parties greater than one. I was told if you have a party greater than one and multiple people come in after you and they have checked in. Then they still have to take others before the rest of your party is helped. (What's the point of checking in my party if they aren't saving me time?) They have a terrible habit of stopping a haircut to check people in between customers. It's a false sense of acknowledgement as you are then told to wait again. Your time is wasted here. There is no accountability also. So on top of the App wasting your time, the employees waste your time. Do yourself a favor, pay the extra $5 for a boys/men's cut at Fades & Bladez off McCall. Kids cuts are $19 and adults at $25. My husband asked for the military discount which they do provide but the stylist said she would not give the military discount for his son. Very disappointed. Used to take my kids here all the time when they first opened and it was pretty decent. Now, their is always something they don't do. Last time I took my 10 year old they weren't doing hair washes or drying (likely due to covid) so I tried to be understanding. Last weekend my husband took her for me with instructions and she couldn't even follow that. 30 dollars for a wash and trim, but again they are not styling right now.
