The Salon services are hit or miss. Some of the stylists are always late or running late. I had an appointment with Daisy, Master Stylist.... I arrived 15 minutes early. Never met her, I checked in and was given an opportunity to sit & wait. This was @10:00 am. My appointment was for 10:15 am. I wasn't told she was already there. She was working on a client. At 10:30, I asked if she was running late to work? The stylist walked over to Daisy, I had no idea she was with a client!. I was told that she would get to me when she is done. I asked how much longer? I was told "maybe 10 minutes?" I feel that Daisy should have approached me upon arriving and informed me she was with another client and extend the courtesy of letting me know she was running a little late. I refused to wait another "maybe 10 minutes?" or longer. I thanked Lupita, stylist who checked me in that I was leaving and would reschedule with someone else. read more

She got my input and requests for the different aspects of the service- confirming hair cut length, toner color for highlights, how I like my hair styled so the highlights would look the best, ect. I rarely get my hair done so it's something I look forward to every year. I get the same refresh done. A really bright ashy platinum ombré. It lasts the full year until I get it redone. I use the same reference photos every time and always end up satisfied. I guess agreeing with the stylist, Shelbee, that it should feel lived in was my mistake, because it doesn't even feel like I got my hair done. It looks slightly toned after sitting for hours to get full highlight foils put in with my hair being tugged around. I have kids pulling on my hair all day so I can typically stand this, but I imagine others with more sensitive scalps would find this service uncomfortable. After the developer (a 10 volume was used because I said my hair lifts quickly), I could tell when it was washed out my hair haded lifted enough. It was still very dark. Typically a volume 20 is what's used for me but I didn't know until after that's what was done. When it was all done it felt toned which was nice, but nothing like we had discussed (but maybe that's her saying "lived in" to cover up any flaws and considers a tone when paying for a full highlight). She told me it looks dark but will lighten up in the shower. I'm really uncomfortable with confrontation so I said I liked it and left. After 7 days of me trying to tell myself it's okay, people hadn't even noticed I lightened my hair. It looks like a slightly toned dirty blonde and does feel "lived in" like I've lived in it for a year and haven't had my hair done. I called ulta within the 10 day window to tell them I'd like it redone. I was told by Shelbee that she believe she did what we discussed even after resending her the reference and after photos she thinks they look the same? I have no idea but I'd have to pay to have my hair redone after spending $200 on a full highlight. Would not recommend. read more

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Ulta Salon. I originally scheduled an appointment for Friday and confirmed the time ahead of my visit. When I arrived, I was told the stylist was running an hour behind and that they had supposedly called me. I never received a call or voicemail. They rescheduled me for today, and after taking the time to come back in again, I was told the stylist had called out and they could not offer any solution or accommodation. The only thing offered was a 30% off coupon, which is frustrating because I can't even get in with a stylist to use it. After two wasted trips, poor communication, and no real effort to resolve the issue, this experience felt very unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. No clue how I've never left a review for here before! The parking lot is a huge con as it's always so packed and crazy. I have never been greeted walking into this location, nor have I ever been offered help by the dozens of employees on the floor, 0 stars for them. Today I came in prematurely for an online order pick up, maybe 1.5 hours after I placed it. It wasn't ready, but all it was was a single hand sanitizer. The girl at the register got all flustered when I asked her and she told me it took 2 hours for pick up and she could go check. I had brought another one to the register ready to check out and just cancel my online order, but Bryanna stepped in to save the day. She then processed my order right there and then assisted with the rest of my items I was checking out. 100 stars for BRYANNA! I went to this Ulta yesterday. A few different workers approached me asking if I needed assistance or if I was looking for anything specific. I replied that I was just browsing. Most of them let me continue browsing in peace. While I was in the HAIR section of the store, a worker didn't ask me if I needed help, but gave me a measured look and IMMEDIATELY asked if I use a vitamin C serum. I told her I did not. She replied "you really should, it will help with your skin texture. You had acne, right?" I was so insulted! How rude! I did have acne when I was younger. I was self conscious about it for years, and I have gone to great lengths to get my skin to where it is today. Yes, my skin texture still shows my acne scarring, but I wouldn't consider it a major concern for me anymore. I actually really liked how my skin looked yesterday!!! She said "it's 15% off today, do you want me to show you?" I said no and walked away. I felt horrible about myself after this exchange. Please let customers tell you what they want help with. A amazing store, my family has been to this location several times to get their hair done, My mom went to get her hair done on her birthday weekend, she wanted a red copper hair that was more on the red side, the stylist talked her out of it and told her to get a different color . My moms hair ended having uneven orange highlights. My mom didn't say anything because she had to pick me and my sisters up from school, she thought she would grow to like it by the end of the day. She didn't , she called the store asking for a refund, they told her to come in . The general manager Caitlyn or however you spell her name said she would give her a partial refund when she came back my mom simply asked if she can get a full refund and the lady started being so rude my mom asked again if she can get a full refund she ignored what she said and said it will be 81 , my mom asked to speak to another manager she said no , I am a teenager and I noticed how rude she was, my mom said can i speak to customer service she said no you have to call my name is on the top basically making fun of my mother . My mom just left and asked another employee if she can speak to a different manager who wasn't her , she got the same manager and she said im the only manager "This is my store " she wishes it was her store , she gets paid what 10$ more and shes acting like shes better than everyone. I usually wouldn't leave a review for a chain beauty store BUT their customer service in the store is horrible. I went in for Cyber Monday because I saw the deals online. Some things said you only get the gift in store, etc. So I picked everything and went to the register and it wasn't giving the discounts. The associate said they can't go or discounts in store and literally told me I have to place a pick up order and wait 2 hours. Meanwhile, Shelby not only worked magic with her makeup skills she also took the time to talk to me about my routines and habits for makeup to find better products for my skin and needs. I'm an individual whom places a huge emphasis on customer service and this can make or break my experience in reference to returning to a specific business establishment. My overall experience has been fair at this particular Ulta Beauty ; however, I would not describe the energy as pleasant , helpful or welcoming . I was not greeted when walking into this establishment on either occasion. I walked up to the register as I had a question on my most recent visit 6 /2025 and the sales representative was on the phone , but never acknowledged my presence not even when she put the phone down to see if I had a question , so I proceeded to walk through the store to find the product I was seeking . No sales representative ever asked me if I needed assistance as I searched for the product I was looking for that I never located ! The young lady that was on the phone had on a white shirt with her hair pulled back in a bun ! I understood she was on the phone , but it's important to acknowledge customers in your presence ! You can kindly state " I will be with you shortly with a smile " ! There was absolutely no acknowledgment! I eventually purchased another item and the sales representative that checked me out was pleasant, but when I inquired about the product I was looking for she didn't provide much information except to say " it didn't arrive in the shipment ". I'm uncertain if it's a lack of training by management at this particular Ulta , but the overall customer service experience certainly could be improved. Have been here multiple times, always a clean organized store with lots of variety. The workers are always super friendly and willing to help. The manager Vanessa helped me and my family today when we needed help with matching, she saw me looking and when we made eye contact she came to help right away. I really appreciate the customer service here, and everyone is always super nice and friendly. The customer service at this location is the worst. Doesn't matter what time of day, how slow it is, or who I interact with. Nothing ever seems to be anyone's problem nor are they helpful. Customers are never greeted, when paying at the register there is always one specific person with a sour face with minimal interaction (I can't remember her name, but if you see her you'll know who I am talking about) and the individual (Monique) at the beauty bar is also very rude. As for management, rather than responding to similar complaints time and time again with the same seemingly insincere apology, perhaps you can finally remedy some of these issues by re-training your employees. read more

I have sadly had nothing but poor experiences here at this particular location. The staff is just not friendly at all, many of which are very unaware of product selection and placement of throughout the store as well. Not to mention they are either too busy chatting with one another to help you or just lack the desire to do so. Very poor customer service in general. I have even had instances shopping with my young child and on more than one occasion was very heavily followed throughout the store, not offered assistance or beauty suggestions, just employees leering at us. I suppose they were under the impression I was going to steal. After some time noticing this I was honestly quite embarrassed and annoyed and just left the things I had grabbed and exited the store. As a platinum member of over 10 years I have no interest in stealing, maybe pay attention to the actual culprits of these crimes and they wouldn't occur anymore. My last straw here was my most recent curb side order, one of my items was very noticeable open and used. How in the world can an associate personally pick an item without noticing this only to place it into a bag for a customer and still have it go unnoticed? Mind you this was only a spray so I will definitely not be wasting my time to return to this store and return it, but had it been a lip or other product similar I would have no choice. We'll, prices have gone up & I did spend close to $100 at a luxury beauty supply in Palos Verdes, that one only 5 yrs but it was already lagging after 3 years. Anyhow, I found a budget friendly one suggested by someone working there and she was right, it works just as well as the high priced brands and an old reliable brand (Conair) you can't go wrong. My recent experience with curbside pickup was subpar. Despite placing my order twice and contacting the store, I waited 20 minutes for assistance. The employee asked if I had confirmed my arrival, which I had. It's frustrating that I do my part on letting them know I'm on my way, letting them know I'm there and they aren't being notified inside the store, so then I have to wait even longer and then call. The whole reason why I opted for curbside pickup was for quick pick, as I couldn't enter the store with my crying baby grandson. Moreover, I've observed that people often park in the curbside pickup area without realizing it's reserved. I think Ulta should make an announcement in the store, reminding customers to keep the area cleared. read more
