When I called to schedule the appointment, Saad, the owner said it was fine to walk-in any time before 8pm. The shop was easy to find and there is plenty of parking. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that I was immediately able to receive service. My normal stylist typically ends up overbooking himself and inevitably I end up waiting 30 minutes or so as he finishes the previous client. A basic wash, blow dry and style is $30 which is pretty good since I usually pay $45, plus costs to park since the shop is downtown. It was $10 extra for the deep conditioner and another $10 for the trim. Still pretty good in comparison to other shops. It's not a lavish/luxury spot, so don't expect a spa type setting...but it's comfortable and clean. Saad provided good advice regarding my hair care and worked at a reasonable pace (not too quickly like he was in a rush...not too slowly as if he wasn't respecting my time). I'd definitely recommend giving this salon a try.

However, I do believe that putting real energy behind being approachable and friendly is important when you're feeling tired or something.. just about having a little etiquette (just my opinion) So.. I was unsure about the way she conducted herself with me. I wanted to be understanding but she just seemed uninterested in servicing me in general and apparently wasn't about to try to be anything other than "tired", like I should accept that as a paying customer.
