I was trying to get into a new salon but was having issues with timing so I went back to Great Clips at Monterey and Country Club figuring I would get a quick cut and then get a good cut elsewhere as my last few visits have been less than good. Well....I was lucky to have Andres cut my hair, nice, professional, had a great confidence as he cut my hair and this was the first time. I left feeling I had gone to a high priced salon and had a great haircut - well, I did get the great haircut! Even when I got home I looked in the mirror and was very happy. Of the several recent people who have cut my hair, Andres just has an certain confidence as he cuts and you can feel it as he does. Almost like a painter as they apply the brush strokes. EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF. I took my son for a haircut. Ten minutes into the haircut, my daughter and I walked up to check the haircut. Another worker walked towards us using very rude voice said " you should leave this area!" I had never had encountered this types of things in a salon. I was surprised by the bad attitude and the unreasonable policy. It got uglier after I confronted both of them. I asked other worker why a parent cannot check his son's haircut? He said I walked up 4 times, which was completely not true. That was the first time. I asked him to count the times for me, he couldn't. By this time the person who is cutting my son's hair started to raise his voice. I asked why they asked us to leave the area? The other worker's reply was that parents will make the person cutting the hair nervous. I was thinking why would a competent stylist be nervous? The whole thing is so bizarre. The conversation went unpleasant. I will never go back. I will also tell all of my friends not going. No parent should be treated in such unreasonable manner. read more

I've had times where I was very specific about what I wanted, and others I was general; he has never disappointed. I just left great clips after getting my hair corrected for the 4 time with Great Clips twice with the location on Gerald ford in Rancho Mirage, & twice with the location on country club. frankly my mistake was I should've stopped going to them after their first haircut disaster, but the owner apologized and immediately corrected it but clearly after 4 times it's clear they just hire people that don't know how to cat hair. So for all those people that go to great clips my suggestion, pay more money go somewhere else because it's not worth the hassle it's not worth the drama and frankly Amy the manager asked me if my girlfriend didn't know a good haircut are you kidding me you're going to blame someone else for your bad managing skills ‍ so not only do they not know how to cut hair they blame other people for their complete incompetence. I am older but have a spikey, short haircut with lots of swirls. Anthony knew how to handle all my weird cowlicks and really does a great job.
