Not kid Friendly. Horrible cut. Had to wait for one stylist to finish up - when she did finish she delayed starting us by putzing around salon when the second stylist finished the first said to the second she could take us- they both commented "how the other could do it" - obviously indicating how neither wanted to do it. I should have walked out then. I asked why neither wanted to do a kids cut and got no answer. I told her to cut the quickest way, natural sideburns and bangs not straight across. My kid was great he's two and doesn't cry and sits there for the cut. I'll give them that the bangs aren't straight across but diagonal and pixie, and no those are not natural side burns. I just needed a quick trim and abhor paying salon prices for all the fancy extras of shampooing, drying, and styling. Plus, I was able to walk in after my 8-5 job without an appointment. My stylist was very nice. I asked for long layers and she did a decent job. Not my favorite by any means, but did ok overall. Definitely worth a $15 cut plus tip. (I have thick, wavy hair down to the center of my back.) I really want to find a place that does an exceptional cut for only $30-40 and doesn't mandate the aforementioned extras. Ugh. read more

And then when it was my turn, asked if I was ready - yet the stylist ( said loosely) had me sit with the previous person's cape and hair in the chair and on the floor. Ok - at this point I just want my haircut so I could go. She asked if you questions and Pat it accordingly. That's it. Nothing fancy to add. Oh, she did ask if I wanted some product before I left. Nestled in The Prado shopping center at 285 and Roswell Road is this nice, clean Great Clips. I received a coupon in the mail for a $7.99 haircut from Great Clips. It was such a good deal that I couldn't pass it up. On the coupon was a little note saying I could download the Great Clips app and check in from my phone. While I was at Target doing some shopping, I was able to see the wait time at Great Clips and check in on my phone. I had 17 minutes left to shop at Target. When I arrived at the salon, I informed them I was present and waited perhaps 3 more minutes (I arrived early just so I wouldn't be late). Using the app was so helpful. It helped me maximize my time at Target and minimize my wait time at the salon. Brendan (I *think* that was his name) was really easygoing and chill. All I wanted was an overall trim and to freshen up a few layers ever so slightly. My hair is extremely easy to work with, no special directions at all. I've never really had a horrible haircut because it's not a complicated style, and I am not a complicated or picky person. He knew exactly what to do and performed the haircut in a perfect amount of time (maybe 15-20 minutes?). We did a dry cut so we could see what it really looked like when it was dry/done. There was another customer in there who was getting frustrated and rude with a Great Clips associate about how she needed a particular type of person who has dealt/had experience with her specific type of hair. Perhaps this was not the place for her; maybe she should have called around to more salons or done more research. There are early bird, senior citizen, and late-night specials. I believe it's $10.99 for a hair cut. I would recommend this for others who are not so particular about their hair. read more

I have been here twice, once for a trim and my recent was for a haircut.So I have seen it enough for a review. Do yourself a favor and check online on the great clips app, it will save you some time and you don't have to wait in line and the neat thing is you get to know the wait time before you check in so you can plan the drive to them. Parking is very easy as you have almost 4 levels of Prado Parking. You will be greeted by an Asian lady with the standard greeting and once your check in is validated you get your time to explain how you want your hair to be cut. In my both experiences I noticed that this lady always did not pay attention to what I said and rushed even when there is no one waiting, moreover she forgot to do most of my request. Sometime they have to barbers but the other is either new to the store or in training so pray while you sit in that chair if you get the other one to be good. I would rather seat myself in the Bespoke salon next to this place next time as I am not coming here to get a clipper haircut and a lousy scissors work and end up paying $14 +$$ tip. read more

Ok first of all, I'm spoiled. This is my first time ever going to a hair salon that I didn't have to pay more than $50. However, we are in a recession, I need to start saving money so I came across Great Clips. Omg! It was awesome! I walked in with my sister and immediately were seated. My stylist was "Qumeica" I know I spelled her name wrong even though I asked her. Sorry girl! She was wonderful. She washed my hair and it was really nice cause her way of shampooing my hair was like a massage. I enjoyed it. Next, I asked to have my hair cut two inches off. She was experience and finished it within 10 minutes. They don't blow blow dry your hair like salons do but it was good enough for me. I paid $14 for a cut and $4 for shampoo. I left happy and satisfy just like I would when I went to an upscale salon. I will definitely go back! read more

DO NOT go to this location!!! Ever! They have a sign on the front door that they stay open until 9 PM. We got there around five till nine and we had already checked in online, but we had trouble finding this location because it was new to us. We go to other locations that we've been going to for nine years. But this one was close. We pulled up and the doors were locked; the lady had their bags in a chair and they were sitting in there with the red OPEN sign on. She cut off 2 inches of her hair! She wanted her hair tapered in the front and she just cut straight across! My daughter was leaving for vacation the next day so she is very upset! I have been a customer since 2008. they have gotten extremely busy in the last few months & their customer service has seriously declined. when I had my last haircut, I told the stylist, suki, I wanted her to trim a little more. she looked over at the waiting customers and I could see her stress level escalate. I tried to get a haircut 2 weeks ago. signed up on the online check on 3 different days. each time, they were jammed, no one acknowledged me. suki, who has always cut my hair, seemed like she wanted to pass me over to anyone else rather than cut my hair, after years of coming to her. I called the owner, anna. she listened to my story and sounded like she wanted to keep me as a customer. she said she would call the salon, look into the issue and call me back. she never did. I left 2 messages for her. no return call. I got a great haircut at the Johnson Ferry Road Great Clips. they treated me as a customer should be treated. not so at the Prado. too bad, they used to be great. read more

I've come here many times over the years and yeah I know you get what you pay for but I just get the most basic 7 minute haircut. Straight across, take off an inch or two and done. Today, as usual I checked in online. Just before arriving it said there was no wait. There were 2 stylists (both Asian ladies) and 1 customer in front of me. After the two gentlemen were finished after getting their cuts, both ladies took their time taking the next guy. A man came in selling shear sharpening service and one lady talked to him for several minutes rather than asking him to come back when there wasn't a line. Yet another man came in and somehow got his cut before me. Maybe he checked in online but I was there first and felt like they skipped over me. They didn't even acknowledge me. Anyway, wait aside, the ladies were not nice at all. They smiled and thanked and wished the 5 men who came in and out a nice day but not so much as a "thank you" to me. Was it because I'm an Asian lady too? They both were annoyed that I had a coupon which they told me they don't take. I paid the $15 plus tip in cash and the lady just stared at me while i waited for a receipt. Apparently she didn't seem to enter it in the computer so that a receipt would print. Then she said "what else you wait for?" So I just left. Won't be coming back. It saddens me that I have to point out that they are Asian and that's not my point. But I certainly felt mistreated compared to the several white men coming in. unbelievable hack job. my son had been growing his hair out for 3 years so it was all one length and about shoulder length. And had finally decided on a mid length style to start his first day at his new school. how hard can it be. I have 3 pictures from all angles of the cut he wants. within 2 mins she hacks right across the top of his forehead butchering any chance at the cut we wanted. and forcing a far shorter cut than he was comfortable with. the kid was crying in the car. I don't know how much more I needed to say to assure she didn't cut too much off. I was pretty clear and repetitive. So if you want your child traumatized by their haircut, then by all means take them here!! The only upside is they didn't make me pay for the haircut. damn straight! she knew she had screwed up. never again... Id rather pay $40 for a kids haircut at a proper salon and know it stands a chance at actually looking like what you want vs paying $20 and getting scalped. Steer clear!!!
