I would give 0 stars if I could. I brought my 4yo son in for a haircut. The hair stylist asked if she could use clippers and I told her my son wasn't comfortable with clippers or the hair dryer. I asked him if he wanted to try the clippers though and he said yes in part because of her pushing for it. When she started using the clippers, he immediately pulled his head away and continued to pull away while she used them (I understand that's not ideal for the stylist but it's also normal for a young child, especially one who she knows doesn't like clippers). She pulled his head back in place overly roughly every time - I've genuinely never seen a hair stylist be so rough with anyone, let alone a child, and my son has had his hair cut consistently since he was 1.5yo. I asked my son if he was ok a few times because I could tell he was uncomfortable and scared which hasn't been an issue with past haircuts. She told me to stop asking him and that I was making him nervous. I reached over to hold his hand, and she told me I needed to move away. I told her he seemed scared so I wanted to hold his hand. She said, "you're in my way", so I moved to a different spot. She made it very clear how annoyed she was. My son was still visibly uncomfortable so I asked again if he was ok and told him we could stop the clippers. She told me we couldn't because she had already started. I said he seemed scared and she said, "well you're in a salon, this is what we use" in a very rude tone. My son then said he was scared so we asked to stop the haircut. She pulled out the blow dryer and I told her we didn't want to use it. She said, "fine he's going to be itchy the whole rest of the day" in a condescending tone. (Prior stylists have just brushed him off with a towel.) She then told me it would be $20. When I tried to pay with a card, she said they only take cash (which I was not told over the phone ahead of time or when we arrived). I luckily had $20 but when I tried to give it to her, she moved to hand it back. I told her it was ok, I wanted to pay for her time, but she stuffed it in my son's little basket of toy cars and said, "keep it. Use it for next time and come more prepared. You were more nervous than your child." Her behavior was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. She was condescending and rude the entire time. If they do kids cuts, there's no way they haven't experienced a child being scared of clippers. We were polite the entire time, my child didn't cry or make a scene. All I can figure is she had a bad day and took it out on us, but that doesn't excuse any of it, especially being so rough yanking my son's head back in place repeatedly. Time and again ruined my hair and my mother's. Never toned hair after dying/ bleaching, cut off way too much hair and was consistently uneven. The customer service was also lackluster and quite rude they selectively treated their regulars and certain demographics differently. read more

Took my two daughters for a last minute haircut and they were able to squeeze us in. They did a great job and even put braids in the girls hair which my girls loved. read more

This is the worst experience I have been had. When I called they told me i can do a walk in for hair color. When I got there the lady said she couldn't do my hair because i have natural hair. I was discriminated because I am black and my hair is very thick and natural and she said she couldn't do it and yet she is a hair dresser?? DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. read more

I have been to this salon 3 times and have had 3 different stylists work with my hair, and every single time I leave feeling beautiful!!!! I should also mention that I'm a VERY PICKY person and have very high customer service standards--I'm not afraid to walk out if I need to! I won't let just anyone touch my hair! Everyone here is so sweet, courteous, timely, and shows excellence in their work. I absolutely love this salon. It is truly scary to take a chance on a new place and I've had some bad experiences elsewhere, but these ladies NEVER DISAPPOINT!! You should definitely go there! I use to be a normal customer here. I can no longer say that after a terrible job by Susan. She sped through, and did not listen to anything I requested. I was left with a haircut that looks like it was done with old, dull scissors, and ruined my evening plans. It is uneven, choppy, and three inches shorter than what I asked for. I had Flory cut my hair. She was not as sensitive as other hair stylists and would comb over my earrings. I'm used to having a stylist that is very friendly and gentle. She was a bit abrasive in the way she handles you. You pay for what u get. Sigh. It was convenient and close.Haircuts are affordable and it was under $30 for a cut and blow dry. They charge more for a wash. Also they don't accept debit cards. Only cash and check. read more

So disrespectful and unprofessional. She basically refused to color my hair and kept saying you don't know what your talking about and don't know what you even want when I explained it AND showed her numerous pictures. DO NOT GO TO HER FOR HAIR DYE. Never coming back. She spoke extremely loud with me for no reason, making sure that everyone else was watching. I went to Azima for the first time after moving to Dunwoody from Tampa. My appointment was for Fari. My hair was below midback, and I asked for a trim of split ends and a trim of the soft layers that were already present. Fari cut more than four inches off of the length, but the worst part is she cut a new layer at my neck that was so thick she essentially cut the front of my hair on both sides OFF. So I have some hair in the back that is shoulder length, and the front sides are cut bluntly at my neck, well above my shoulders! She did not blow dry my hair so I didn't realize how bad it was until I got home. Once I realized, I went back and requested the manager look at it. The manager told another girl to try to fix it, but it was of course unfixable. The manager said that Fari owed me a huge apology, shrugged, and said she was sorry herself but they couldn't/wouldn't help me anymore. She did not offer my money back. She did not offer to at least cut my hair in one length so it didn't look like some sort of atrocious mullet. I went to Balance, and my hairdresser there gave me extensions on the sides to hide the terrible cut until it grows out, to the tune of almost $200. I used their website and got a prompt reply and set up an appointment. I got there about 15 minutes early. A few minutes before my appointment. The stylist I had the appointment with said she was still with another person and did I want go with another stylist. I said that was fine. It was my first time there and I wasn't familiar with anybody. That ended up being a problem. This stylist felt like she was being dumped on. First, she didn't put any covering on me and I got hairs on my shirt. The stylist also has a reputation for being friendly according to the website but barely said 2 words to me. At the end she didn't even show me the back of my head to see how I liked it. I think she had another customer coming in. The haircut looks ok and the price was great. However, I was disappointed that it was such a rush job. I could understand if I had walked in and they were trying to squeeze me in but I made an appointment to avoid such a thing. read more
