Do not do any hair donations at this location!! I grew my hair out for two years to get it long enough to donate to wigs for kids, great clips is listed on their website as a donation spot and you usually get a free haircut when you donate your hair to a cancer foundation. This place did neither, and absolutely treated the donation and myself horribly. They began by telling me that my hair wasn't long enough when it had over 3 inches past the minimum of 12, I know this because you always lose some hair in the cutting and I always overgrow just to make sure as this is like my third or fourth donation. They cited that after Covid they no longer do free cuts for donations. So after agreeing to pay for a haircut, since I wasn't gonna walk out after she just chopped off all my hair, she proceeded to grab my ponytail and cut it. She did not follow the proper procedures for donation, did not rubber band the hair at all. She just grabbed it all and started cutting with the clippers, I could see a lot of hair was lost that could've been donated. She placed the hair on the counter, and when I mentioned why she didn't rubber band her partition it instead took it all off as one, she said that she would prepare it later. Then she proceeded to give me one of the worst fades I have ever received. After the cut was completed I honestly felt that they were gonna throw away my hair because of the way they treated the donation and because of their demeanor. They should be ashamed considering wigs for kids to the foundation helps children with cancer. I ended up walking out with my hair in an envelope that she stapled didn't even bother to rubber band the hair that she had cut off . I asked for a simple straight haircut with very light layers in front. I checked it from behind as I was leaving and it looked fine. It was a basic cut so I just assumed, "how could you mess it up"? When I got home, I realized that the left side was more than an inch and a half longer than the right!!! Not sure how that's even possible?? The haircut is so bad that it's almost funny. I'm writing this review because of my horrific experience today after getting a haircut. I unfortunately was with Elizabeth/Stella. I asked her for a high zero fade and she gave me a ZERO. NO FADE. I asked her kindly if she didn't understand me or didn't know how to do a fade. It saddens me to have to write this negative of a review after coming here for years for affordable haircuts. This place is always a hit or miss depending which stylist cuts my hair. My last experience was amazing with Gina. However, my experience today with Cindy was horrific, and I do not recommend anyone to get their hair cut by her. She is an older Korean lady with short black hair and a Korean accent. From the beginning, she was incredibly rude when I was trying to explain and clarify how much hair I wanted trimmed off. Then throughout the cut, she was rough while moving my head and combing my hair and was even yanking my hair at some points. The worst part is that she must have accidentally cut herself with the scissors when my hair was covering my eyes and did not let me know. I would have been understanding if she had informed me, but I didn't even realize she must have cut herself until I came home and my partner noticed blood all over my cheeks and chin. She must have been preoccupied with her cut and trying to possibly hide it. However, how do you not notice you got blood all over a client's face? I normally check my hair in the mirror after a cut, but I was so upset with her unprofessional attitude that I just paid and left immediately. I even gave her a 20% cash tip despite the experience because I know how difficult the current economy is. However, I cannot believe she did not say anything during my cut or after while I was paying at the register that she left her blood all over my face. This is completely unacceptable and gives me reason to stop coming to Great Clips altogether. read more

Took my two boys there today. We are regular customers but today I had a horrible experience: 1) poor quality and poor precision of the cuts and 2) with the poor customer service (aka bad attitude). Child #1's fade was too high. The notes say to start the fade at the temple. Well, the fade is higher than the temple, about 1/2" too high. And thus too high in the back and now the curve of the skull in the back looks more protruded. Child #2's fade isn't even symmetrical. There's a section of "fade" above the right ear that starts really low (almost triangular shape, going down and then back up to meet the back fade line) where as the fade above the left ear seemed ok. I expressed my dissatisfaction when one of the ladies ask how the service was. Although I didn't have to pay for the cuts tonight (because apparently they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee), the second lady shouldn't have cut me off while I was talking, and don't tell me to have a nice evening when the tone in your voice doesn't mean it. Rude, curt, and fake. The worse! If you didn't care for what I had to say, then why did you ask me? When you service people, you can't be arrogant. You have to be able to take both positive and negative feedback and do it without an attitude. Further, as a trained hair stylists, you are trained to cut and style hair. This is a chosen profession. So despite whatever notes that are in the system, a professional should know how to cut hair symmetrically, do a fade correctly, and take the shape of the head, face, and natural hairline curves into consideration as part of the art of hair styling. That should be a given, a minimum requirement. The two ladies who serviced us tonight (and closed up shop tonight) were wack! I will say, the younger stylist has potential to improve her game, but her attitude is wack. The older stylist had ZERO dexterity in her motions and has vision issues. Her attitude was wack too. If i could give nothing i would, they messed me up so bad, I have curly very thick hair and i had come in asking for it to be cut two inches, number two on the sides and layered. I even showed her a picture of what i wanted the sides to look like. At some point i asked the lady to make sure she layered it to which she responded "how old are you" and when i told her she said "OH YOU DONT KNOW HAIR DONT WORRY I KNOW HAIR YOU DONT". I also have my hair dyed. She cut all the color off, thinned my hair out so much to the point where im scared to touch it CUT OFF ALL MY CURLS, shaved a big part of the back of my mullet to the point where it looks more like a mohawk and cut at least 4 inches off my hair instead of two. Two inches would have been up to my nose. My hair is up to my eyebrows. There is another i think hispanic woman that works there thats amazing, i always give her big tips because i know my hair is a lot and she always does some magic on it. But please for the life of you dont go in, especially if its the asian lady with the bob, she will fuck u up and be rude. I cant stand to look at myself in the mirror. I have used this Great Clips on MacArthur off and on in the past, but this time was exceptional. It isn't easy giving me the cut I like due to cowlicks etc., however, I have to give a big shoutout to Sasha for one of the best cuts I've ever had. If you're looking for a cheap and quick haircut, this is the place to go. Came here and had Sasha cut my hair. She is rude and rough. Keep asking if I can move my head backwards which is impossible. I'm being a bit sarcastic but she keeps pushing my head back and forth and asked if I can move head in a direction that is not possible. I tried to help and till this day, my neck is a bit sore. I told her it is not possible to turn my head where she wants so I stop obeying her command which strained my neck. It is normal for a customer to move their head but not to the point where it is impossible. She went on and said she doesn't want to have a stiff neck. Why not position the chair and your body so you can see better? Also, when trimming the top, she does not wet your hair and hair is flying all over my eyes, mouth and face. I had to keep on spitting hair and brushing hair off my face. She is rough with the buzzer as well. At checkout, she does not say a word or any thank you /have a nice day. I come here frequently to get my hair cut. Usually have a good experience but today was not one of those. I usually use the online check in but I was driving by Great Clips and just decided to stop by. I came in and I was behind a person who had done the online check in. They were ahead of me on the screen, so naturally they were up next. BUT It seemed that the persons name appeared 2 times after that....meaning they were able to check in 2 other people with them.... Now the problem came when I was up next and then the online check in people came in at EXACTLY the same time I was about to get up to get my hair cut. I requested Ana as my stylist because I like how she cuts my hair. It turned out that these 2 of the 3 people ahead of me had actually ALSO requested Ana. Ana was done with her previous client and I was literally up about to be called. The male stylist working the tablet looked confused as to how this person was able to online check 3 people. I was ALSO confused and frustrated about this. Now this meant that I would have to wait even more time. Now I understand the online check in and that they receive priority but the thing that made me want to write this review is the fact that no one ACKNOWLEDGED me or APOLOGIZED or said anything to me about the 2 people that were now ahead of me.
