Not going back here. They just don't know how to cut men's hair. Stylist named Maddie butchered my sons hair today and afterward he said she was rude during the haircut. My oldest son was unhappy with his cut as well a few days ago. And an older lady didn't even know how to blend my third son's hair a couple weeks ago. The stylist next to her had to show her how after she screwed it up. I didn't even bother complaining today. Tired of getting bad haircuts. Out of all of them, there are only two good stylists there. My boyfriend went in to get his haircut for a job interview. He has long, thick hair. He wanted a clean cut with the sides shorter and top longer; however, he came out looking as if he got a trim. They took off little to no hair and didn't even shave his side burns. To top it off, the back was so crooked. I could've done a better job myself. Don't recommend. At some point in time, you have to treat your customer with respect and not pass the buck. I had an $8.99 coupon that somehow expired on the day I went in to use it. Explained that and my stylist blamed "corporate". I had a $4 off coupon from my last visit and had left it at home. (Because I had the $8.99 coupon I didn't bring it) once again, can't honor it because it has to be stapled. So can I run home and get it? No, I have to close out my customer before taking another! I have been a loyal customer for years but with no one in charge, too many excuses. I paid my $16 and left my normal 20%, but I really have no idea how ANY business doesn't have anyone running the shift. Lastly, It's extremely disappointing to listen to negative comments by stylists about the company that employs you. Don't go here! I've been getting my hair cut for 13 years. I come here because I live in Harveston neighborhood. Today I've had it. I went in to get me and my two sons a hair cut and one of the stylists did a horrible job. Every time I come in for a haircut there's always new employees. I never know how it's going to go. Sometimes it's good sometimes it's bad. This time it was horrible and I'm done coming here. If they don't know how to do a simple boys cut they should not be working here. $16 for a bad kids haircut makes me mad. I'm a big fan of Great Clips and typically visited the one on HWY 79 but as the Winchester location was much closer to me I went in during one of their banner weekends with a $6 or $7 haircut. I waited only about ten minutes and my cut turned out great! The stylist doing my hair was conversational and friendly but not over-talkative (which is a huge pet peeve of mine). You really can't beat a $7 haircut with good service and a great end result. I was so happy with my cut I recommended this location to my boyfriend for his cut. We went in about a week later, same time of day, only this time no sale. Still a very reasonable price though! He got an okay cut, however I must mention the cleanliness of the salon was horrid. It's understandable when there's some hair on the floor near the stylists, but there was hair ALL OVER the floor. In the waiting area, even leading out the door. Clumps all over the place which was very disturbing. I hadn't even noticed the cleanliness during my first visit so I can't comment, but the second time was extremely noticeable and not in a good way. I'll give them another chance, but will walk out if it's the same way. read more

I just went in to get a haircut, a simple high and tight with a 2 on the top and a 0 on the sides. They did the top just fine but the sides were not a 0, it was a 1. For a place that jacked up its price, $14, for a haircut they do a lousy job. I do not intend to return, as long as other barber shops offer a decent haircut for a reasonable price. read more

BAD SERVICE- Took my mom in to get a perm, she waited a while before anyone helped her- when the hairstylist finally took her back, she informed my Mom that she and everyone else there would not be able to do the perm because her hair was too short and all the stylists had long nails. I called to speak to the manager and spoke to Crystal- the assistant manager. Was assured I would get a call back from the store manager and it never happened. Horrible customer service! After frequenting this location over 2-years, what I sincerely like about it is that they know within their system what my cut was, compared to previous visits, and proactively ask me if I'm interested in the same. The group there are courteous, clean, and precise. Im not a talker at salons, so they dont bug me with nonsenical conversation, if Im not in the mood, but can carry conversations if in the mood. I appreciate their willingness to deal with my impatience, where when I just want my cut and need to get out and moving-on with my day quickly, they understand and get me in and out with the same quality of service and clean precise cut that I'm looking for. read more

You get what you pay for here with uneven haircuts and long wait times. I now go to Sport Clips located in the same parking lot and get a salon-quality haircut with a shampoo too. They also offer a scalp & shoulder massage for just a couple more bucks. I like being able to watch sports while I'm getting my haircut too since Sport Clips has a TV located at every booth. read more

I went to get a haircut and my bangs trimmed, the lady that was cutting my hair said my layers were really "choppy" and uneven, I had a haircut two months before this visit from the same place! She trimmed my bangs and told me she was done, my hair was still wet and she didn't even brush the bangs off my face. I went home and blow dried my hair to find out my bangs were really crooked. read more

I'm from outta town but when I visit family out here I like to take advantage of their great prices & get a trim. The times I've gone I liked service & staff. Except for this last time. I recently went. Had my hair to my lower back & told the girl to trim no more than an inch off my long layers, bc it took me a few yrs to grow my hair & I wanted to keep it that way, she chopped it all off! I was so upset. she insisted it was only an inch. Its to my bra line. My lower back & bra line are not an inch apart. Hated her service. Wasn't too friendly & was pulling my hair a lot. By far the worst haircut I have ever had. I could have done a better job at home with a clipper and some sisssors. The girl that cut my hair seemed like it was her 1st day on the job. Btw, I'm the least picky person in the world. I'm a guy and it's only hair so even after a bad cut I know that it will grow back so I usually don't get upset. But this place just sucks. This store is a revolving door. Every time I come in, I get a new person. Really aggravating. Personally, I like consistency. We had a girl the first time we went - her name is Jessica... she was awesome with my boys. Just went in a couple of days ago and found she is no longer there and when asked where she went, I was not given a clear answer. it was "she's moved on", to which my reply was, "where to"? and they wouldn't answer. Any how Janice cut my son's hair and she did a great job. 3 stars because I'm not so sure the work environment is a friendly one which is causing the revolving door. Used the phone app to check in. When my son and I arrived we were greeted immediately and were seated in chairs within minutes. Both haircuts were great! Fast and friendly we were in and out in less than 30 min. They honored a coupon I had found so we were out of there for less than $20 for both haircuts. Will be back!! read more

Ok, I stopped in here in the afternoon on 5/22/19 without an appt. I followed another gentlemen in, he was also a walk in. Looking around, I thought great, no one is here. One male in the seat, looked like he was just about to get up. So there was a total of 3 of us and two stylist, which the one was sweeping, great. The other gentlemen checked in and she said it would be about 30 minutes to be seen. I looked around and said "why 30 minutes, we're the only ones here?" She stated "because of the online appointments." AGAIN, we were the only ones there at that very moment. Those who made the appt, obviously either were late, or the stylist were going to wait for them to show up. This is terrible customer service. I figure that if you had an appointment, you would be next to sit, AFTER someone gets up from their haircut. I have never waited or been told it would be a 30 min wait, even when they were busy I have not waited this long, this is crazy. They lost my business and my tip, they would have received. Just for the record, I had a 7.99 coupon, which I normally tip much more should they give me a good haircut. Their loss!! Every time I come into this Salon I am waiting so long they tell me 10 minutes and it ends up being way over 30 mins. The Girls are always rude when I came in the girl didn't even leave her station to ask me if I checked in online . I told her I didn't she still didn't leave her station., When someone finally decided to walk over they told me is would be a few mins. I would not have a problem but have some professionalism when you are in customer service. Take the candy out of your mouth when you are talking to someone. I have been getting my hair cut here for 6 years and usually, i have a good experience. I came in to get a haircut with my mother and unfortunately, we were both disappointed. Jaqui, who messed up my mothers hair did the opposite of what she wanted and smiled as my mother told her it was wrong. She had no apologies. I had Josh who had no hospitality, not a smile on his face and was very short with me every time i told him something. I still tipped over 20% hoping I would get a positive response, but got no thank you anyway. If i could go back, i would have asked for my tip back. It is an embarrassment to have employees who act this way. It really upset me and my years attending this great clips has come to an end. read more

My boyfriend went in today for his normal standard cut it in his notes on his profile. He goes here all the time and and they usually get it right, but today was the complete opposite. He told the woman to make it a one on the side and to keep it long on the top, maybe a slight trim but for the post part keep it the same...like his notes. So the woman turns him away from the mirror and starts cutting away she turns him back around and she asks him "is this alright?" Half of his entire head was shaved all of it... And he tells her that's not what I wanted. She tells him oh let me get my manager... No apology no nothing. So she shaves off the rest of his hair for free gives him a free hair cut coupon and that's it. I am in cosmetology school and notice that all the edges of his hair are jagged and crooked in the front. Really how hard is it to do a clean cut shave? I'm a furious with the service and the employee, learn to do a clean cut or hire better people seriously.
