I didn't have any appointment and was in and out in less then 20 minutes. From a style book I chose my haircut, showed it to my stylist, and was surprised to look like the guys in the book, in such a short time. $15, left a $5 tip, so worth it. I'm not a flashy hairstyle guy and Great Clips is generally as high-spec as I go, pretty much every hair-cut I've had over the last decade has been at one of these outlets. This particular location is the closest to me but I go out of my way to avoid it. Very cramped location in the Hamilton Marketplace strip mall. Owner can't get a grip on her staff and is generally overwhelmed. Great Clips really messed up by placing a small tiny location in a high-foot traffic area. The place gets packed, the staff get pressured to increase through-put and you end up with tragic hair-cuts. I've walked out of this location looking like a toilet-brush. They stereotype and harrass you for tips here too. I always tip $3 to $5 depending upon the service, but If they think theres any hint you might be flakey on the tip they'll actually ask you to how much tip do you want to add to the bill. Its hillariously sad. Not sure the owner is aware, the last time it happened to me (last visit) she heard and looked shocked at the stylist but did not intervene. Unprofessional location, will be there for years due to volume of business they do, but for loyal Great Clips clients is overall a bad deal. read more

ZERO STARS!!! It would not allow me to give 0 stars. I have been taking my kids to Great Clips for years. They don't get anything special, just a basic trim. We used to get good service when we went there, but it has really gone downhill over the past year. My husband took my son there a couple of months ago and he just wanted a trim and the woman butchered his hair. Okay, he wasn't happy, but he is a boy and could deal with it. I took my daughter to get her hair trimmed on July 8th. We showed the woman where we wanted my daughter's hair trimmed to. When she walked over to me after her cut, she was crying because the woman cut it 5 inches shorter than we asked. YES, I SAID 5 INCHES SHORTER!!! I was livid! I spoke up and said, "that is not even close to what we asked you to do to her hair." Her only response was a sarcastic "Oh, I'm sorry." When I got home, I immediately called the customer service number on my receipt and spoke with someone about the issue. They apologized and took down all of the information and said that the manager of that Great Clips location would be calling within 24 hours at the most to rectify the issue. I haven't heard from anyone since and it is now the evening of July 12th. Do not go to Great Clips!!! read more

I mentioned that I was in a rush and needed to be out in 10 minutes; she said "I will do my best but will not sacrifice quality" She didn't. Awesome experience, great haircut, very skilled person. checked in and waited 71 mins to get my two kids hair cut. At 3 mins left I entered in the store to find out that they couldn't cut their hair because they were closed. So I waited 71 mins, did the right thing and waited until it was almost my time to go in and they couldnt help me at 7:02 pm. They said the ap should of told me I couldn't enter, which it didn't, and my name was on the screen but they wouldn't do to kids hair cuts. Which the would of only been two hair cuts won't the buzzer. Both women were unwilling to help and were borderline rude. i have been going there a while now and will never return again. read more

I got a pretty good haircut here and they are reasonably priced. But they do not take appointments and frequently have a wait of more than an hour. So it's kind of hit and miss whether or not you can get a haircut here without wasting a lot of time. read more

Normally I have a fine experience but today was upsetting. Checked in online, because that's the system and it's a very long wait if you don't. It was supposed to be an 18 minute wait. Fine. Drive over- say a ten minute drive. It's still a 17 minute wait. Leave to get food from Petsmart; come back. Still a bit of a wait; we are 3rd in line. Finally it's our turn only the guy takes the person AFTER us, because he knows her. Doesn't ask if it's ok, apologize, nothing. Just acts like I won't notice. The girl who cut my son's hair was great and he was in the seat for less time than we waited. read more

It's very hit-or-miss depending on who your stylist is - but Melissa is amazing!! She's the only person I will go to now, even if I have to wait. If you have very coarse, wavy/curly hair (hair that triangulates in a poof and just always has a rough texture), she will know exactly how to cut it in a way that lays flattering. I usually get my hair in a bob - sometimes very short, other times like a mid-length bob or a "lob", as some people call it, and it with my type of hair it's very difficult to achieve that type of cut without it looking like a jagged-layer hack job or a poodle puff. My hair looks so cute and she layered it perfectly. Thank you, Melissa! I agree with another review in the hidden reviews section ("not currently recommended") that said she should be made a manager. read more

I went for a beard trim and a zero cut. They didn't have a zero to cut my hair and the beard trim was awful I had to go home and fix my beard myself. Worst cut I ever had. (Speaking on behalf of my husband) read more

Why has no one reviewed this location?? I'll keep this simple: a $12 haircut can be just as good as a $100 haircut. It just depends on the stylist, obviously. And Sherri Carpenter (manager and stylist) is the best-kept secret in the industry. I just got a $7.99 haircut (they're having their sale) that was just as good as any top salon. trust me. So it's really your choice. Some women wouldn't be "caught dead" in a bargain hair cut salon. Whatever. Just like some people wouldn't be caught dead buying groceries at Bottom Dollar. people are funny. Oh, but PLEASE tip on the price before discount. Cut was $7.99, and I gave a tip based on the regular price ($14). Well, I actually threw in a little more. And she was very appreciative. Try tipping $4 at a hoity-toity salon and see where that gets you. Go here and ask for Sherri. you will not be sorry. Oh, and their online check in is the best. read more

Well this was weird. Arrived 7 minutes to opening time to this location. A group of 4 of us quickly formed. To say it was cold would be an understatement. It was frgid and the wind was whipping. We could see the employees in the shop. One comes to unlock the door. Yay, we all thought. No -- she said she was new and couldn't let us in. It was, literally 0 degrees and windy. We all just looked at each other. Then why did she come to the door and open it? Just to tell us she couldn't let us in? Then, at 8:55, the door was opened by a grumpy woman who also said they weren't open yet, but she grudgingly let us into the small waiting area. Really? You should be overjoyed, in this economy, that you have 4 customers waiting for you at opening time. It really killed you to let us in 5 minutes early? Yeah -- really not thrilled. I left without getting a haircut. There are plenty of these cheap chop shops out there. With competition being what it is -- work on your customer service. read more

I really like the way Annie cuts my hair. And she's extremely pleasant, the store is clean and the check-in is easy.

My son is 2 and a half and has autism and this salon and its employees are always very patient and great at accommodating him. Last time we had a male barber and he must have handed my son at least 5 combs to keep him calm. He was great, wish I remembered his name! My son's hair has looked great every time too which says a lot! read more
