After my first appointment though, I am (mostly) not dreading my follow up appointment! The building itself is straight out of Better Homes and Gardens magazine, very comfortable and clean with obvious aesthetic appeal that made me look at my own home decor in envy. They have a very comfortable waiting room with some fun things for anyone who might have some nervous kids - or adults who are kids at heart. The staff was very easy to talk to and professional. They answered my laundry list of questions, some of which probably toed the line on what is and what is not their actual responsibility. Special thanks to Sky who helped me feel calm and at home as we watched a cooking show on the tv above the patient chair (nice!). Lastly, the complete transparency during checkout was really a huge selling point. They showed me a complete breakdown for my follow up appointment so that I could make adjustments as needed and avoid any awkward sticker shock conversations. Thankfully, my insurance covered most of my appointments, but I know that is not always the case for everyone; the transparency during scheduling is telling of their business model! I hope I don't have to do be soon, but if I do I know I will be in good hands!

However, if they late cancel your appointment they aren't accommodating for a re-schedule. Unless you can re-arrange your life expect to be several months out--as in at the time of your next cleaning. As a professional myself if I have to late cancel someone due to unforeseen circumstances I make sure to go above and beyond to accommodate a re-schedule that is convenient for the person because I value the time they set aside. I guess I should always remember that not everyone has that same level of professionalism.

Dr Andersen and crew have always been friendly and professional. They provide wonderful care. At 68 years old, I've been to a number of dentists over the years. Dr Andersen and staff are the best! I'd like to add that yesterday an old crown that had been placed by a prior dentist fractured and chipped off. I called Artisan Dental last evening to see if I could get in today. I got a return call at 7:15 this morning, was in their chair at 9 AM, and was done with a new crown at 11:15 AM. Thank you so much Rochelle, Dr Rehermann, and Cassie for such speedy, kind, and professional service. I have no idea how people could have had negative experiences. After going at least twice a year for 8 years, I've always been treated exceptionally well. Afterwards I saw my hygienist and left with a nice little welcome gift. What I really liked was how kind everyone was and how they explained everything to you. Plus each hygienist has their own little "cubby" with a window and bird feeder. *it's the little things*. They also provide you with plastic safety glasses and my hygienist even had tinted ones! Brent Killian will PREVENT you from receiving dental services by moving around a lot, cancelling appointments last minute, and then creating months long waits to get back in. Then, when you do... Negative 5 stars. Truly horrible administrative staff. From the Stepford tone about the months it would take to get in to be seen despite losing what turned out to be 2 fillings ("that's the next available"), to the awful location that staff refused to provide directions to (the clinic manager actually said to me that is "not in their job description"), resulting in a missed appointment and another two month wait, to the snotty hygienist who asked me why I transferred then (apparently not getting it's the actual dentist that matters - !), and then said, sarcastically, "sorry that was so difficult for you," definitely avoid. Corporate disregard at its maximum. Another dentist described them as "the Walmart of dentistry." Very true. There are many other dentists as good as or better than Brent Killian, who of course would close ranks with the system his career is tied to.

She also talks with a lisp with them in. We jumped through every hoop they asked us to jump through for months to "fix them". They were still too big and didn't stay in. She cannot use them. Every time they said they would call, they did not call. I would receive a text or email several days later, or nothing at all. We waited for over a month before I called and followed up on a product they claimed would work to make the dentures fit correctly. We asked the dentures to be remade, and instead they sent me a referral to a different dentist. I was a patient for 20 years. They are in it for the money, not to help you. I had also sent them one of my coworkers for implants, and they completely mess up his dental work as well. I suggest you look elsewhere for a better dental team.

But I was pleasantly surprised it is a smaller office and its more of a personal touch although they don't keep the same hygienists they seem to be temps. Dr. Vicki Shah is very nice and did my first filling with her and she was gentle and patient and she got my numbing correct in the first shot that used to take forever with other dentists. The filling did not take long and was perfectly shaped on the first try. Definitely recommend.
