This is one of the closest Chinese food places to us and after trying Xiangs and Healthy food chinese Kitchen in Monroe, we decided to give this place a try. We got 4 dishes to try - all mildly spicy (for my husband ) but actually they were pretty spicy which I liked but made my husband sweat a bit. The sauces were slightly different so it's just a matter of which sauce you prefer. All dishes came from the chefs special menu. 1. The kung Pao chicken - the sauce is not right but it was fine in terms of combination and freshness of ingredients. 2. The Szechuan chicken - it was spicy but didn't have any of the Szechuan peppercorn flavor so definitely not authentic. Again the ingredients were fresh albeit a bit oily. 3. Singapore mei fun - my mom actually thought it was not oily enough and too hard/dry. I don't mind the dryness and actually liked it. 4. Chicken with eggplant - if you like mushy and gooey texture of well cooked eggplant, you will like this dish. My dad really liked it. I think it's ok but the eggplant is overcooked for my taste. The price is reasonable and it's good enough for us to go back next time we want Americanized Chinese food. It's definitely not authentic but it satisfies the craving. read more

Food quality here, which was never outstanding, has taken a turn for the worse lately. A few weeks ago, an order of Chow Fun came as an inedible, greasy, solid block of noodles. Couldn't separate any of it without tearing the noodles to bits, despite the fact that it was saturated with oil. Went right into the trash. Last week, ordered Cashew Chicken. To my surprise, we got Peanut Chicken, which isn't even on the menu. It really says a lot about a restaurant when they would feel that it's okay to make a substitution like this and not even mention it to the customer. Plus the carrots were completely raw and hard. Same as another reviewer . I ordered beef and scallions. They replaced scallions with regular onions. I ordered online in advance. Plenty of time to call and tell me they don't have scallions. Used to eat here all the time. Not sure, but maybe owners changed. Let me say that any restaurant, or other establishment that takes phone orders, should have a person that can read, write and speak clear English. Lat night I ordered Beef with Scallions. I asked to have broccoli added and Thai chili peppers (or another "hot" long pepper). I specified that there is to be no other vegetables. What I got had no long peppers and was not spicy at all. It also included mushroom sand onions, which were expressly against my request. Very disappointing. To be fair, the dish was very good, but not what I ordered. Very good place. This is my friends go to place and so when I visited I tried it and it was berry good. The organe chicken was different than the others I've had. When they fried the chicken they didn't immediately cover it in the sauce. They drizzled the sauce over it so it was still crunchy. The chicken and broccoli was also very good. Its a typical cheap and fast Chinese food. I had low mien, fired dumplings, and sweet and sour soup. The mein and dumplings were not as greasy as most places so it has that going for it. The service was a little abrupt and the store is super sketchy looking but all in all if I need some fast and cheap chinese and I'm close to this place, I would go back. read more

My favorite and go to in Chinese in Monroe. Great fried chicken wings and best ribs in town. Best bargain is the luncheon menu which includes an egg roll. In the past you got a free soda but the tanking economy did away with that perk. I haven't had everything on the menu but have made pretty good inroads. The portions are good sized and I like the food. My wife is fond of the sweet and sour soup but I like the wonton. And yes the place is a bit of a hole in the wall but this is a take out business. read more

This place was terrible. Will not return. Duck sauce was horrible. Sesame chicken was so thin and heavily breaded it was completely dried out. Chicken fingers were small but ok. Steak and mushrooms was equally terrible. Steak had a strange film on it. Not good. read more

I had the General Tsao Chicken and thought it was scrumptious! The restaurant itself was very clean, and I was able to see my food being made! (Plus for me.) In addition, I spoke with Jimmy and he was a very cool person! Food was done in a timely fashion and I was more than satisfied!
