Everything super fresh and unbelievable I've been like 7 times and everything has been soo goood!! Don't believe me come try for yourself!

We found this nugget tucked into a shopping center after a morning of hiking. Based on their site, we thought they only had baked goods for the morning with a lunch/dinner sandwich type menu. We were so pleased that there are breakfast sandwich options! When entering, you can smell all of the amazing freshly baked breads and goods. There are a ton of other delicious options to buy on the pantry shelf. We all got some form of fried eggs sandwich, and they were fried fresh and perfect! The coffee menu was nice also. The two young women working were very pleasant and welcoming! Their service was impeccable. Whether you're looking for fresh bread, a selection of local jams and jellies, fresh baked goods, or delicious sandwiches make sure you give this place a try! Top of the list for us in GJ. read more

I came and placed an order for a grilled chicken sandwich during lunchtime. There was a total of one person ahead of me who was waiting for food. After I ordered, I sat down to wait. Almost 20 minutes went by. I could see the frustration of the lady waiting ahead of me. When they finally came out and gave her her order, I heard the back say they needed to start on my sandwich. I had no more time, so I told them I had to leave and they needed to refund me. One of the staff members came up to the counter and started to lecture me about how restaurants get backed up. I said I didn't care and if she refused to give me a refund, I would file a case with my bank. She then said she would, but I was out the door by then. I waited 20 minutes and received an attitude when I confronted them about it. They lost not one but multiple customers unnecessarily. read more

Absolutely delicious. Decent and affordable pricing for amazing food. I got the Grilled Chicken sandwich and my teeth sunk into it all. The bread was so warm and soft with a light crisp to it. When they served us the plate, the aroma from the sandwich was so strong and good smelling. I caught a whiff and it made me so excited to take a bite in, I didn't think the food could taste as good as it smelled but I was definitely in for a surprise. I've purchased several loaves of their delicious breads at a time here because I live out of town. They stay well in the freezer. I can take out a few slices at a time if I have separated some prior to freezing with parchment or wax paper. My husband is gluten free so he is not able to enjoy GH products. They used to have a gluten free bread on Tuesdays. Like most people over 50 (65 and 69), we are watching daily sodium intake for better heart and kidney health as well as blood pressure. GH, being between 200mg and 300mg of sodium per slice, is only a treat for me on occasion. The package labels (and the staff) should be more specific on ingredient amounts. It would be nice if GH would consider making a lower sodium bread, about100 mg per slice. Rudi's Bread has a thin sliced whole wheat with only 85mg of sodium and only 55 calories! Granted not the wonderful home baked freshness of Great Harvest. read more

Worst sandwiches and customer service ever. I went there at 5:00 yesterday (Grand Junctio location) and ordered The Godfather and Italian Job (they ran out of Reubens) as take-out. The two young workers were clueless and inept -- they couldn't answer any of my simple questions and should not be making or cooking sandwiches. We got home and attempted to eat them, but they were so disgusting and inedible, that we threw them in the garbage. What an embarrassment to the store and Great Harvest brand! We walked in here at 2:10 today 9-11 and our sandwiches took 30 minutes to prepare. Apparently they received a phone catering order just after we ordered. There was nobody else in the store and I asked him twice about our sandwiches. They insisted that because their catering order was "over $100. " he was going to finish writing and ringing that up first. If we weren't meeting somebody from out of town, we would've gotten up and left. There employees, and there were two of them need to understand that the customer having ordered a sandwich shouldn't have to wait 30 minutes. We will never be back! read more

My mom, who has cancer and is disabled, went into this store today before closing. Some rude employee informed them he was closing the grill Indic minutes, which was before the 6pm closing time. Another group of six cut in front of my mom and aunt and they were served first. The sandwiches are placed on a counter and no once called my moms name. There was a very nice young man trying to hell undue the rude older man, but before my mom could even take a bite, the older man kicked them out of the restaurant and locked the door and said they had to eat outside...again, before 6pm Closing. They had my mom lifting chairs in the inside...disabled and with cancer. Is this how you conduct business? Please respond or I will also be following up with corporate. This type of treatment to elderly and disabled customers is unacceptable and not in line with your posted store hours. read more

Amazing!!!! So many goodies to choose from. My husband had the French Toast (side note...for a few more bucks you can have all you can eat) and I had The Benny. (Their version of eggs Benedict). Cute and friendly place, good for lunch. My son had a BLT, which was solid, and I had a quirky house salad (the Yardbird). So the food was about 4-stars. But then we had dessert: a lemon bar with a firm crust and tart custard, perhaps the best I've ever had; and a blueberry scone, with sweet fruit and outstanding crumb. We were looking for a place to grab a quick bite before heading to the Grand Junction airport. We saw that Great Harvest Bread had excellent ratings so we headed over there. We're glad we made that decision. I had the Chicken Salad sandwich and my wife had the Greek Salad. Both were very good. I have a feeling the man who prepared our food is the franchisee...he was very upbeat and anxious to please and could not have been more pleasant. He even offered us a couple of samples of their bread, including their pumpkin chocolate chip, which was fantastic. I'm not sure he can provide that kind of attention during peak times, but after 4 pm, there were not a lot of customers in the shop, so he had a little more time to give us that individual attention. I bought a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie to share with my wife at the airport and loved it. All in all, I would go again if given the chance. Disappointing lunch to say the least. Soups seemed watered down and Sandwiches were put together sloppily. Fountain pop was weird tasting maybe not enough co2? We have tried this place driving through because I love the cinnamon bread. Won't be back for lunch that's for sure read more

My sesame chicken grain bowl was delicious!!! It had lots of great ingredients and they really struck a great balance between grains and greens! They didn't skimp on the chicken and all of the flavors worked so well. My boyfriend's turkey sandwich looked pretty standard but he said he enjoyed it. The cook was so busy flirting with a girl that he wasn't paying attention to making my sandwich.So he nearly burned the bread and the pastrami is so hard I can't chew it. He ruined a perfectly good sandwich but didn't even catch it and sent it home with my wife. I tried to eat it but after two bites I had to throw it away. We called to talk to the manager, but they have no manager on duty. So no one is supervising the cook who isn't paying attention.The cook was tall, thin, with tattoos all over him. If he was my employee, he would be fired. None of the workers were wearing masks, during this pandemic they all should be. So they put my wife and her friends at risk. The aroma of walking into this bakery is breathtaking! I could not come to a decision on which sandwich to order because they all sounded great. I asked the owner which one he recommends and he offered for me to try the Spicy Apple Bacon Grilled Cheese. Let me tell you that this grilled sandwich had THE best consistency and the best part was it looked great! Exactly how I would want my grilled cheese to be made. I was nervous it would be messy due to everything that came with the sandwich but to my surprise everything held together really well! The spicy pepper jelly balanced really well with the apples and it was a party in my mouth. Customer service was out of this world! The owner answered all of my questions and even went out of his way to deliver the food to my table. Overall, I am very impressed by both the food and the customer service! This is by far my favorite food joint in grand junction! Me and my girlfriend found this place by accident while shopping one day and were blown away. Every ingredient is high quality, the bread is amazing, but what we found most appealing is the price. The food is affordable and everything is made from scratch. The most expensive things on the menu will run you roughly $8 for a VERY high quality meal. 6/5 stars! read more

I'm in Grand Junction visiting National Parks and stopped by Great Harvest to get some lunch. The two sandwiches I bought (Rueben and Chicken Salad) were so yummy! I dig this place. It's the only place I know that mills whole wheat flour, and uses local honey in the whole wheat breads. I just visited them last week. They now offer a really yummy all you can eat breakfast. I will make it a point to visit them when I am in town. Super yummy stuff. Try the Cinna burst french toast.
