FOOD TRUCK, LOCATED NEXT TO DICK'S SPORTING GOODS ENTRANCE! This is important because the address is the mall in general. I needed to call them to have them explain that they are next to the entrance for Dicks. The food was delicious!! We ordered from their website and it went very smoothly. We had the smothered biscuits and an extra order of biscuits (2). Given their popularity and high ratings I was pleasantly surprised by their price and quality. They have a really nice area to sit where dogs are welcome. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!!

The food is spot on every time. We've had the chicken and waffles which are simply delicious. The chicken is so moist. This morning I tried two new items for me: Egg, American on Texas toast and the bacon sandwich: egg, American cheese & bacon on Texas toast (that will be my lunch). The Texas toast sandwiches look exactly like what's on the website menu. Trust me you won't be disappointed with anything they make. If you're staying at one of the local hotels or even across town, stop on in or do what I do, order online and pick up your food.

In the parking lot of a seasonal retail outlet, this was clearly the best chicken and biscuit I've ever had. The chicken was white and "clean" - pure meat and no fat or anything. The breading was crunchy and delicious. The biscuit was great and the honey butter was a nice accent. A lot of places honey is overwhelming but this was a nice accent to the sandwhich. My only negative? I'm just passing through and can't eat here regularly.

Soooo delicious. Since I don't eat meat they were able to make me an egg sandwich with green chili on the side. I love that the biscuit was the perfect density and fluffy. They were nice and brought a water bowl for our dogs. Have a nice patio area with umbrellas, and a cool fan for the hot summer days. Highly recommend!

Stopped in while on a road trip. Bummed I'll only be able to visit while passing through. Breakfast is varied and great, I ordered a burrito, chicken and waffles, and biscuits and gravy and they were all delicious. Favorite food truck I've ever been to. read more

Look I grew up on the McDonalds Sausauge Egg Biscuit and the McMuffin family so when I got wind that there was a POPPIN biscuit food truck spot in the town that I was working temporarily in, it was a no brainer to go try. Like the many reviews state, this food truck is located at Mesa Mall right in front of the Dicks Sporting Good. I mean once youre at Mesa Mall and you're panicking you can't find it, just give it the mall a good ole round-a-bout you'll find it trust. Enough about logistics and my biscuit history, lets talk Alarado. The biscuits. Whatever you get, you have to try it with the biscuit. Personally went with the sausage, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich with pepper jack and the BISCUIT ofc. There's something surreal about eating a delicious biscuit breakfast sandwich at 7:00 am in the morning when its raining outside. I'm surprised I even got a photo of it before demolishing it. Now underrated co-start is the breakfast burrito. Because my back is big, I also got a chorizo breakfast burrito with green chili. Goodness gracious, that one also was a banger seriously. Biscuit sandwich or burritos are definitely the move I'd say here. Go get your biscuit on. read more

Great biscuits! We stop here when we are headed out of town, for a quick bite to eat. I love the chicken biscuit. The breakfast burritos are good, my favorite is the chorizo. This is also close to Community hospital. We stopped here on our way to see my son and his wife after they had their first baby. We told the staff we were getting breakfast for ALL four of us and headed to see my grandson. They went all out and decorated the containers for everyone. It was so sweet, and something I won't ever forget. They went the extra mile. Everyone is very kind, and they have good service for a food truck. read more

Have stopped by a couple of times for breakfast burritos, and they've been great. I've had them both with green chile gravy and with just green chile, and I have to say the latter is my preference. The green chili and cheese mix together so nicely, I don't even need to add hot sauce or salsa. These are just darn good burritos. It's a family-run business, and the name is a mashup of Alabama and Colorado, where the owners hail from. Sort of a permanent food truck set up, real convenient with tables for eating right there if you feel like it. Recommended eating for breakfast in GJ! read more

It was kind of a blustery morning and we had some errands to run before heading out for some hiking. This took us to the Mesa Mall where this food truck seems to set up on the regular. I had remembered reading about it before, so when it came up as a nearby breakfast spot we pounced at the opportunity. Despite the biscuit in the name, we both went with burritos to fuel the morning hike. It was convenient to order online and so we just checked in and let them know we were there, went into the mall to get out of the wind, and got or food after 15 minutes of killing time in the food court. (Side note: This place beats any of the food court options x1000. That's a creepy old food court, people.) Sausage was the way to go on the breakfast burrito, with green chile on the side. It's not ABQ green chile but we liked it. We also got a chicken burrito which was far inferior to the sausage--not because it wasn't good, but this was much more lunch-y than breakfasty and we shoulda been more headsup when ordering. I'd recommend either without hesitation, but just know that a fried chicken burrito is far more lunchy. read more

Great food, great service, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I got their chicken bacon maple butter biscuit and the chicken was juicy and the biscuit was wonderfully buttery. The only downside is that in such a beautiful area your view is that of a mall parking lot. read more

Honestly one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had - I had mistakenly missed the exit on the freeway and turned back around after getting to Fruita because I just HAD to have one. Glad I did. Gravy is flavorful, nothing was greasy. Will definitely swing by whenever I'm around Grand Junction. read more

My favorite breakfast spot in Grand Junction and one of the only places here that has chicken and waffles (unless you count ihop). The service is always friendly and I love the convenience of ordering online and being told when my order is ready for pickup. The food truck is always shiny and clean. Chicken and waffles: you get two perfectly battered, crispy chicken tenderloins over the fluffiest Belgian waffle. The syrup is in the box, warm and ready to poor over the delicious meal with whipped butter. My go-to breakfast. Breakfast burrito: a generous sized burrito filled with delicious breakfast filling and smothered in green chili. My husband's favorite! Reasonably priced. Must try: Chicken & Waffles! Why: The Belgian waffle was large with a nice crispy outside and a little chewy on inside. The chicken tenders were delicious with a light crisp on outside and tender inside. Came with butter and two sides of syrup, which was plentiful. I wish there was a third chicken tender because it was so good and I still had a quarter of the waffle left to eat! Notes: Really neat food truck in an open parking lot. There were several tables and chairs with umbrellas. So glad we found this gem while passing through on our road trip! read more

Traveling through GJ and looking for breakfast burritos. Stopped here after seeing other reviews. So glad we did!! I had sausages biscuit sandwich, husband had bacon burrito. Both delicious!!! I liked my sausage biscuit better though. Sausage and biscuit were amazing! Got extra green chili on the side which made it even better. Service was excellent and better than most restaurants. Really good chicken biscuit. Looking for local flavor? After hiking Colorado National Monument this was a perfect match to the morning. Biscuit has a light crust to give it texture. Tender so eat it sideways, if you try to squeeze it like a burger it won't hold. Was dripping with honey butter, you will need the wet wipe they give you. This is my go-to spot for a breakfast burrito. I order a Chorizo burrito with light green chili sauce and light cheese and it is really good. I usually pair it with an orange juice, and my cost for it all is around 18 bucks, including tip. The staff are friendly and consistent and the location is by the mall. They have seating, but some areas don't have shade. read more

This place is insanely good when you're looking to be bad and eat something unhealthy for breakfast. I had the chicken and biscuit and it was amazing. This is coming from someone who lived in the South for quite a few years... these def measure up. Biscuit has a delicious honey glaze to go with the savory chicken flavors. Ordered the Chorizo Breakfast burrito and added gravy and green chile total was $12 bucks a little pricey for the size of the burrito. Burrito was pretty mid no spice at all from the green chile and tortilla was falling apart. Service was just okay had to wait a bit outside for them to notice me. Nice little food truck but wouldn't come back here for a burrito. read more

Food was fast, fresh and delicious. It was a food trailer at the mall. The directions put you in the wrong spot, but if you calm and talk to the friendly staff it is worth it. We had the chicken and waffle. Bacon breakfast burritos, chicken and biscuit and smothered chicken on a biscuit. The food was amazing. Highly recommend. If you are going now, you can eat in the food court if it's too chilly for you but overall it was delicious. My family enjoyed it. read more

The spoons burrito was pretty good but white gravy on top instead of some type of salsa made it less flavorful than I would have expected. It was good food for after a hike but not sure I would come back here.

We decided to drop in without a reservation. The host was honestly pretty weird about it. He told us he had to go ask his waiters if they would even agree to take us. Truth be told, that is a bizarre way to welcome paying guests. They ultimately found a spot for us. Then they abandoned us for a solid fifteen minutes before anyone even approached the table. We finally ordered our drinks and watched another twenty minutes tick away. I went with the CMU Centennial Manhattan. It is built with a Colorado bourbon, sweet vermouth, local hot honey, bitters, and a bordeaux cherry. A proper Manhattan needs a careful balance between the whiskey and the sweet vermouth to round out the bite. Honestly, they were just way too heavy-handed with that hot honey. It was so aggressively spicy that it just wasn't enjoyable. My wife ordered the Lavender Lemon Drop. Hers was actually perfectly balanced with a really nice citrus kick. We put in an order for the Deviled Kitchen Eggs. Another twenty minutes passed before they hit the table. They make them with a tempura fried egg white and an herb yolk. I appreciate the attempt at a crispy texture. They were decent but ultimately nothing special. My wife ordered the Bison Tip Pappardelle. I decided on the Roasted Dirty Hippie Half Chicken. They use a local Palisade beer marinade for the chicken. I ordered it with duck fat potato dippers and truffle yucca on the side. Another thirty minutes crawled by before the main courses arrived. Both dishes were just huge letdowns. The pappardelle noodles were completely stuck together in a starchy clump. The wild mushroom cream sauce was overly sweet and cloying instead of savory. The bison meat was tough and tasted exactly like plain boiled beef. There was absolutely nothing enjoyable about that pasta dish. My chicken wasn't any better. It had a terribly rubbery texture. It felt like it was roasted three days ago and lazily reheated. The skin was soggy and gross instead of crisp and properly rendered. The duck fat dippers were completely missing that deep, savory richness you expect when cooking with animal fats. The truffle yucca was actually pretty tasty. A good side dish just can't make up for a terrible main course, though. We didn't bother asking for a second round of drinks. The food was so poor that we skipped dessert and just asked for the check. The panoramic view of the Colorado National Monument from the rooftop is fantastic. A beautiful sunset just isn't enough to excuse a bad dinner, though. We expected a much higher-end culinary experience. What we got felt like a bunch of college students running a very disorganized experiment. I would definitely skip this spot.

We were a little taken aback simply because we dressed as 'business casual' and the waitstaff were dressed to the 9's. But we noticed that almost everyone else there was dressed casually, so we relaxed (i.e. they seem to have a relaxed dress code). He explained the special (some sort of fish which both my wife and I thought sounded wonderful) and then let us take our time looking over the menu. When he came back, I asked him about the sautéed mushroom appetizer. He described it and we immediately ordered it. It came out piping hot, and I must say - my wife and I both were 'fighting' for each bite - it was AMAZING. The sourdough bread is fantastic (and was great to use to mop up the rest of the melted butter from the sauteed mushrooms). I ordered the bacon wrapped, blue cheese encrusted filet with the house mashed potatoes and my wife ordered the ribeye steak with the potatoes au gratin. Mine selection was pretty awesome. The kitchen burned the bacon, but the steak was done perfectly and with the blue cheese encrustment and the sauce that came with it, I just pushed the bacon to the side (note - if I had pointed this out, I have no doubt that the staff would have refired the entire plate - so that's on me). However, my wife's selection blew mine completely away. Her steak was done perfectly (medium-rare) and the au gratin potatoes were absolutely to die for (I may have stolen quite a bit from her plate). We have our favorite place in Loveland, Co (4th street chop house) and Colorado Springs, Co (Peppertree restaurant), and we've now added the Winery to that short list. Sadly, it's a little further than the other two, but when we come back to Grand Junction/Palisade, this is one place that won't be skipped! We definitely recommend this place.

If you're passing through Grand Junction, pull up to this food truck. My fiancé and I stopped by after seeing the reviews and the food is just really good. The setup is cute, the energy is warm, and the whole experience felt genuine from start to finish. We got to meet Paige, the owner, and she is an absolute gem. You can tell she pours her heart into this place, she made us feel like family, not just customers. That kind of personal touch from an owner makes all the difference.
