Good portions, friendly enough service, you order at the front and get a buzzer for when your food is ready. This place is below a hospice care facility, plenty of parking out front and very peaceful ambiance, but a bit of an odd location. There's lots of indoor seating as well as an outdoor patio. The food was not super flavorful, but it was large portion sizes. The English muffins in the eggs benedict weren't really crispy, and the biscuits were a bit dry and disappointing. The spoons burrito was pretty good but white gravy on top instead of some type of salsa made it less flavorful than I would have expected. It was good food for after a hike but not sure I would come back here. read more

Hidden gem in Grand Junction! Head here if you are looking for fresh food options and variety. It's off the beaten path and well worth the short drive from the interstate. Order and pay at the counter. They provide a buzzer to indicate when your food is ready for you to grab at the pick up counter. Salads were great. Fresh veggies and a perfect size for a lunch meal. Plenty of seating both indoors and on the patio. There are some nice gardens next to the patio for a short after-meal stroll. read more

I was torn on how many stars to give, because I love the mission of Spoons and how the $ goes towards hospice. But if this were any other restaurant, I would have given it 1 star. I ordered the filet minion with asparagus and sweet potato. $41 with the added side. My veggies came out cold, not even warm. And my medium steak had no pink in it. Was sadly very over cooked, and over salted. It was not good. My husband's meatball meal was good though. My mom also told the server she had a severe nut allergy and needed to be careful with cross contamination. They brought out free bread for the table, and my mom almost took a bite when my husband stopped her, and said he thinks the cinnamon swirl had nuts in it. It had walnuts. Could have turned into a very rough night, just thankful my husband caught that in time. The server was super nice and I think just forgot what my mom had mentioned, but good to be aware of that for anyone else with nut allergies. read more

We stopped here for lunch after reading reviews on Yelp. We were shocked in a very pleasant way as to the quality and flavor of the food we were served. The quantity was more than enough for us. The property and restaurant were clean and beautiful. The staff was friendly and professional and happy to answer any questions. Well I know this is a not for profit so I will not be too hard on them. Food is good. Spent $70 on breakfast for party of 3. Then it was brought to my attention that rather than filling my glass with water, actually I was filling with lemonade. I offered to pay for the oversight. It was embarrassing since I was treating friends. Paula, manager has never got back to me. No worries. Of course I will go back. Like I said, let's all support a non profit. read more

Seriously? This for 4 1/2 stars? It's on par with a cafeteria. The food is subpar and lackluster. Don't get the avocado toast. The avocado "schmear" was brown/grey by the time I got it. The fruit was old. To ask for a tip when I have to get in line to order and fetch the food when it is "finished cooking" is an insult. For anyone coming through town and think this is a great place with decent food....please choose wisely and go someplace else. read more

I work nearby and frequent Spoons for lunch. I usually call to order and bring the food home to eat with my husband. The service is always friendly, quick, and efficient. They're never gotten my order wrong. The restaurant is always clean and inviting. It is attached to a HopeWest Hospice, but don't let that deter you. It is a decent restaurant with a beautiful patio and plenty of outdoor seating. They also love having dogs out there. My favorite is the Rosemary Chicken Avocado Panini. Yummy, tender grilled chicken breast and they do not skimp on the bacon and avocado! The beer battered fries are always cooked to order, fresh and crispy. My husband likes the Reuben and also whatever special they have that day. The burgers are good too. They also have a huge variety of baked goods. When I only have 15 minutes for lunch, I order a cup of soup and slice of pie. I get excited when they have beef barley soup and apple pie. The chicken noodle and berry pie is good too. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. I highly recommend this place and will keep coming back. read more

We were visiting Grand Junction and selected Spoons based on multiple site reviews. We arrived and were seated even though they were fully booked (reservations are recommended for dinner!). The Babe and I both had the prime rib (8 oz.) with the sweet potato medallions. The prime rib was cooked to a perfect medium rare and tasted fantastic! It was tender with no gristle! The sweet potatoes were well cooked and had good flavor. The waitress has friendly and service was very good. Recommend! read more

Such a beautiful spot to sit outdoors and enjoy the weather when it's nice out side. There was plenty of seating outdoors and some seating indoors as well! It's actually smaller than I pictured indoors and it was dark inside as well so we preferred sitting outdoors instead. We went inside to order and the service was quick and the food came out fast as well! There were plenty of traditional breakfast/brunch options to choose from and all were decently priced as well. I love this place...food is always surprisingly good. The staff is friendly and helpful. The ambiance outside in the warmer months is outstanding with the way it was designed and the flowers, plants and fountain. Even when it gets a bit cool, the outdoor tables have heaters that make it just right. The indoor area not so much - which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. You must go to the counter to order food and then go back to counter to pick it up - which causes a bit of traffic by your table at breakfast and lunch. At dinner, the staff waits on you. The upper levels of this building are set up with a hospital-like setting for hospice patients. This restaurant helps support HopeWest/hospice care so it is a win/win anyway you look at it. read more

Been here a few times and always had a great experience! Menu selection is awesome. I generally get their oatmeal. I love the coffee too! I love that local companies are represented here, like Homestyle Bakery and Two Rivers Winery. And the cause of course, supporting hospice. I love the beautiful trees and Christmas lights when it's that time of year. Plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor. Outdoor has heaters also which is great. Visiting from out of town, had DoorDash deliver. Ordered the homemade biscuits with sausage gravy, hashbrowns, banana smoothie and fruit n yogurt parfait. Not sure who's to blame but the parfait didn't arrive, DoorDash credited. The biscuits is actually 1 massive biscuit the size of my 2 eggs together. You can see in the photo how thick this thing is and it was dry, there was no moisture. I'm from the south so biscuits and gravy is a staple. The gravy was decent but there was no pepper and the sausage was chunks just thrown in, not crumbles that were part of the overall dish. The eggs were cooked to order and I commend the cook on knowing over medium, that can be difficult. The hashbrowns were soggy and had no crunch at all. The smoothie was tasty but very watery. We decided to drop in without a reservation. The host was honestly pretty weird about it. He told us he had to go ask his waiters if they would even agree to take us. Truth be told, that is a bizarre way to welcome paying guests. They ultimately found a spot for us. Then they abandoned us for a solid fifteen minutes before anyone even approached the table. We finally ordered our drinks and watched another twenty minutes tick away. I went with the CMU Centennial Manhattan. It is built with a Colorado bourbon, sweet vermouth, local hot honey, bitters, and a bordeaux cherry. A proper Manhattan needs a careful balance between the whiskey and the sweet vermouth to round out the bite. Honestly, they were just way too heavy-handed with that hot honey. It was so aggressively spicy that it just wasn't enjoyable. My wife ordered the Lavender Lemon Drop. Hers was actually perfectly balanced with a really nice citrus kick. We put in an order for the Deviled Kitchen Eggs. Another twenty minutes passed before they hit the table. They make them with a tempura fried egg white and an herb yolk. I appreciate the attempt at a crispy texture. They were decent but ultimately nothing special. My wife ordered the Bison Tip Pappardelle. I decided on the Roasted Dirty Hippie Half Chicken. They use a local Palisade beer marinade for the chicken. I ordered it with duck fat potato dippers and truffle yucca on the side. Another thirty minutes crawled by before the main courses arrived. Both dishes were just huge letdowns. The pappardelle noodles were completely stuck together in a starchy clump. The wild mushroom cream sauce was overly sweet and cloying instead of savory. The bison meat was tough and tasted exactly like plain boiled beef. There was absolutely nothing enjoyable about that pasta dish. My chicken wasn't any better. It had a terribly rubbery texture. It felt like it was roasted three days ago and lazily reheated. The skin was soggy and gross instead of crisp and properly rendered. The duck fat dippers were completely missing that deep, savory richness you expect when cooking with animal fats. The truffle yucca was actually pretty tasty. A good side dish just can't make up for a terrible main course, though. We didn't bother asking for a second round of drinks. The food was so poor that we skipped dessert and just asked for the check. The panoramic view of the Colorado National Monument from the rooftop is fantastic. A beautiful sunset just isn't enough to excuse a bad dinner, though. We expected a much higher-end culinary experience. What we got felt like a bunch of college students running a very disorganized experiment. I would definitely skip this spot.

We both enjoyed a bottle of wine from a local Colorado outfit, a nice Pinot noir, and my wife had a burger, which is what the place is known for. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and friendly. The burger was pretty good as expected. I'm a big fan of duck so that's what I went with and going down it tasted pretty good but later than night it was clear I developed food poisoning and was up most of the night regretting my decisions. My wife and I shared the same meals and drinks throughout the day with the exception of dinner so it was evident the duck was the culprit. Unfortunate, but I'd recommend sticking with the burgers if you go.

Food - I ordered the NY Strip - which was excellently cooked and seasoned. However,.the whole grain mustard mashed potatoes - mustard can easily overwhelm the mashed potatoes, and it did so. The other person in my party ordered the Cioppino which was mostly a miss as the flavors didn't connect. She also ordered the Palisade Peach Bread Pudding. Did not meet expectations. Service - I think all the dudes that served us were under 21. If that's your staffing model, you better train them, and have someone on the side to be a Sommelier. The servers were very attentive and professional - but there were too many subtle service misses that can be rectified with better training. Not terrible, but not the best choice.

Rarely do I rate as 5 stars but this one earned the coveted 5 star rating. The taste and food quality was outstanding. Very charming atmosphere. Wonderful customer service. Amazing views of Mt Garfield and local vineyards. It just does not get any better. Locals need to be aware of this treasure and support this local business. And oh by the way they play great nostalgic music. This evening was the 1970s.

This local diner has 3 locations in the Grand Valley. My parents said they are recommended in local…read morepaper. I arrived atv745am and several tables were occupied. Nice menu. The location faces east, so the windows screens were lowered to prevent being blinded by the sun and it also lowered the temp inside. Very plump seats and AC is working well. I got the Southside Omelet with 3 eggs, chorizo, jack cheese, topped with green chile and home fries. Lots of food for $16.59 with sourdough toast. I added a single stack of blueberry pancake for $8.99;. My server, Chandra said it was large. What an understatement!! It was 12in wide and had it's own larger platter. Chandra provided 4 softened butter tubs and lots of maple syrup. Lots of blueberries. So I paced myself and ate it all. By 9am, they were 1/2 full and I noticed a few takeout orders. They have their own parking lot with trees for shade. No patio. Two gender free restrooms.
