This is the Best Bread place in town. Have always loved these guys for years. Came by this location to bring a friend for the 1st time. We came in a little after close without realizing it closed at 6. I explained my friend was coming for the 1st time. Kim was so nice & insisted she stay & look around. We each got a complimentary bread slice & a loaf of pumpkin spice bread. Which I now understand why they call it bread crack lol. Such a wonderful experience for me & my friend Bii. Let's just say I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants at all. However, I don't know how these guys instilled the "can-do" & "love every customer" type attitude in the workers but it feels like the tv show Cheers every time I go in here. Whenever we visit Henderson, stopping at the Great Harvest on Horizon Ridge is a MUST! The quality of their breads and baked goods are absolutely the best. They carry a variety of breads that I'm not able to get in our immediate area, so we try to stock up when we're in town. My current favorite is their Flax Oatbran, with Asiago Sourdough and Dakota close behind. I've learned you can't compare Great Harvest breads to your local grocery store options, because there is no comparison when you look at what you get for your dollar. Ounce for ounce, Great Harvest breads are THE bargain. The grocery store loaves don't even come close nutritionally to what is baked fresh in every loaf at their store. I love the fact that these breads taste great just plain, but become 'a bit of heaven' when toasted with a little butter. Their breads make getting the fiber I need in my diet a daily luxury. If you're in the mood for a GREAT sandwich, give them a try. The combination of ingredients are fantastic!!! read more

love love love great harvest bread. the service is always friendly and helpful. right when you walk in you get to sample a huge slice of one of their fresh breads of that day. the bread is amazing. baked with lots of love. my favorite is the oat bran and high "five" fiber. since a whole loaf is too big for me to eat by myself in the fresh of days i have discovered that freezing half of it and putting it in the fridge for when when i am ready to bring the other half on works out really well. i don't mind spending 6 dollars on a loaf of this homemade bread. i know what i am getting when i pay for it and being the little health nut i am i can't beat this. don't plan on making a trip on sunday though. the only day they are closed. read more

Wonderful local bakery! Cute little place with super friendly service. Tried 1/2 chicken berry pecan sandwich, seafood bisque, cinnamon swirl. -chicken berry pecan sandwich: Delicious! I'm going to assume it was on their famous honey whole wheat. Bread was yummy, though it would have been much better toasted in my opinion. A tad heavy on the mayo but overall very well balanced and yummy. -seafood bisque: Could have been delicious but insanely salty. Half the salt could still possibly be too salty. This is the reason for knocking one star off...! -Cinnamon swirl: I'm going to assume this is definitely not the healthy of breads but it was sweet sugary cinnamon goodness. It was my first time here and I look forward to trying many more of their goodies. One wonderful thing is, they sell their breads fresh and anything older than 2 days gets donated. I have been in here a dozen times over the last couple of years. I usually stop in for a high priced sandwich that is worth every penny! The sandwiches are fresh and can be customized to order. Roast beast sandwich: so good (roast beef was rare, could have used a little more seasoning) The pumpkin chocolate bread was so, so good. It was more like a pound cake than a normal bread--you could totally eat it for dessert. I got a sample of caramel apple bread (something like that) and it was also super delish. This place is great. My office is located across the street and I eat lunch here on the regular. One of my favorite sandwiches is the Turk n Berry and the the sausage soup is amazing. Every bread I have tried is delicious. From the garlic cheddar to the pumpkin chocolate chip is awesome. They offer free samples of bread for you to try. Nice, clean, friendly shop. They have fantastic lunch sandwichs made to order. Daily they bake different breads, and I have been very thrilled with the loafs I have brought home. Staff was extremely friendly. I have not tried any of the desserts but they look amazing. They even have some unique breads like a cheese and pepperoni loaf. They have a rewards program, I believe it is a free loaf after 5 purchased. Not sure how it works with lunch. read more

Talking about wonderful bread...and their sandwiches are really good too. As soon as you walk into Great Harvest Bread, they greet you and ask if you would like to sample whatever it is they have fresh that day. At the Horizon Ridge location, it's a lot (not that way at all locations). When they say sample, they don't mean just a small sample, they cut this giant size chunk off of whatever it is you wanted, which is always wonderful. The sandwiches are always great, made to order, with fresh meats, cheeses, whatever you want. The bread is just incredibly soft and fresh and this location always has a good selection. I must also mention that this location has very friendly people working as well. It is very comfortable and clean as well. Try their specialty breads during various holidays (like green monster fingers at Halloween)...great stuff! read more

My family insists on this bread for sandwiches, toast, etc. at home. The sourdough is delicious toasted, but we also love the Dakota and 9 grain. I love that it is made with whole grains. We love getting sandwiches made at the bakery as well. I prefer the Chicken Berry Pecan, but I also love the grilled cheese with soup. They put a garlic spread on it that puts it over the top. My two other favorites are the Banana Walnut Bread and the sugar cookies. Oh my goodness, the sugar cookies! I love them sooo much. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. I live in Tulsa, Ok where we used to have a Great Harvest Bakery which has closed permanently. So I was pretty excited to see that they were in Las Vegas as I love their products. On Saturday, September. 29 I located a bakery on Horizon street. Realizing that I didn't have much time I jumped in the car with my cousin (a resident Nevadan) and we dashed to the bakery only to be disappointed that the kids inside had closed the shop early . We arrived at 5:15. Posted hours are open until 5:30. The doors were locked, chairs on the tables and the kids inside cleaning. They simply ignored us as we tried to open the doors. As we were walking away another woman walked up and asked us if they had closed "early again"? We said apparently so..... she said she comes frequently only to find that they have closed before the time posted on the door several times recently. I was in Henderson a few months ago, for a girl's weekend. We stopped in at this Great Harvest for lunch. Their sandwiches are amazing! I had the Chicken Berry Pecan - heaven! The girl behind the counter gave us samples of several different breads. They were all fabulous. I bought the sourdough to take home to the fam. Because I had such a good experience the first time, I went back as my family & I were passing through town. They now offer kids sandwiches. They are yummy, healthy and best of all, my son LOVED them! They also have this darling kids table set up. My son could have spent hours there coloring the pictures that they provide. The girls were so kind and there was even an added order that was brought to my attention when I picked it up that was not yet paid for, and the young lady who helped CARRY out my order (YES she Helped CARRY it out) told me not to worry about the unpaid sandwich. What a superb bakery for your everyday bread essentials. Whenever I am looking for a quality loaf of bread from honey whole wheat to challah (try it), I know just where to go---Great Harvest! They offer everyday loaves as well as daily and seasonal specials at reasonable prices, about what you'll pay at the grocery store for overly processed junk. They do offer a weekly gluten-free bread for those who prefer that, while I've never tried it I'm sure it's quite good. For major holidays like Easter and Thanksgiving you can do pre-orders and their offerings include things like bunny-shaped loaves, rolls or bread crumbs. My favorites are the sliced sourdough and pumpernickel, while my wife is partial to the spinach feta and the asiago sourdough. The sweets are also delicious, try the oatmeal chocolate chip or frosted sugar cookies. The huge cinnamon rolls are excellent as well. The pumpkin bread, available year-round, is fantastic and sometimes includes chocolate chips. My wife enjoys grabbing one of their made to order sandwiches when she's visiting the salon next door. You can choose from a menu or customize one to your liking, a sandwich combo includes a drink, the iced teas are fresh brewed, and a cookie or chips. And they have nugget ice, just like at Sonic. They also sell a variety of jams and spreads, kitchen towels and soup mixes. The new line of pepper jellies are particularly tasty. The staff has always been incredibly pleasant and always offer a free sample from one of the day's various sweets or bread selections.
