Devoured the mini cake
Yoli M.

Came in again to get another delicious cinnamon roll. This time I also got a mini strawberry cheesecake and a cheese danish. Everything is delicious here and the people are so friendly. Still 10/10 recommend.

I had the pleasure of visiting Denmark (Copenhagen) in Spring 2024. So, I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered Chef Flemming's BakeShop in Henderson's Water Street District in July 2025. This quaint, Danish bakery has an impressive selection of gluten-free and European-style baked goods, offers exemplary customer service, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]is charmingly decorated with Danish memorabilia.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The baked goods are made from scratch by the shop's experienced pastry chef and owner, Chef Flemming Pedersen. I bought three different types to sample during my visit, and the Almond Horns were my personal favorite!

Wedding dessert bar (Sarah Bernhardts pictured on the left, Whoopie pies pictured in the middle, and Cannoli pictured on the right)

We were delighted to be introduced to Chef Flemming's through our wedding venue-- A Moment in Time in Lake Las Vegas. We had a cake tasting in August 2025 for our November 2025 wedding where we were introduced to a variety of incredibly delicious selections from Chef Flemming. But beyond the high quality desserts they produce, our experience was made better by their openness to go with our vision and support our choice for a dessert bar in lieu of cake. Chef Flemming and his team ended up doing an assortment of 8 dozen desserts for our dessert bar that included cannoli, whoopie pies, Sara Bernhardts, and lemon bars. Even more than a month on from the wedding, guests are still raving about the desserts, and local guests have already asked us where they can get more. We couldn't recommended this bakery more, whether you're looking for every day treats, birthday delights, wedding delicacies, or anything in between. Look no further! Chef Flemming and his team are the team for you!

A truly exceptional bakery the pastries are remarkably delicious. Highly recommended.

This is a must try!! The best baked goods and pastries in the valley! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very small and quant shop with all items baked fresh daily.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have something for everyone but the must try's are the cinnamon rolls, muffins, and sourdough bread. The cinnamon rolls are so flaky and light with the right amount of sweetness. I'd eat 12 if I could.

Great spot for some delicious Danish sweets! Owner and Baker is from Denmark in the Jutland area and has been baking for decades! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance has a lot of nostalgic Danish memorabilia on the walls and the staff is really warm and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love their princess cake, rumm roll, almond Horn, and sachertarte to make a few! This is a must stop in Henderson!

To satisfy my craving! I have come here several times and each time it feels like the pastries look better and better. The team is friendly, smiling quiet, allowing you to take everything in and make your request known. the prices are good for a patisserie but for sure more than a donut shop, which they are not so let's set the expectation . While there I picked up a few Valentines treats for my children and grandchildren . Bon appétit.!

I love sourdough bread, so I went on Yelp to find a bakery who makes it fresh. Well as my good karma would have it, I found myself on Water Street in old Henderson, walking into Chef Flemming's BakeShop. Thank you Yelp! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I proceeded to feast over all the eye candy, very pleased by the lovely displays.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was greeted by two lovely ladies who smiled and it felt like home again. I then asked for a loaf of their home baked sourdough bread. They offered a round & a square, and I opted for square and sliced. I asked how often they made their breads & was pleasantly surprised to hear "once a week, on Thursday"... So I was really feeling lucky since here it was Thursday morning! Then I had to try their famous "Princess Cake" and being of Italian descent, I also ordered the cannoli and tiramisu. Driving home I devoured the two crusty ends of the sourdough bread, mouth watering! Mmmmmm.... And finally home I toasted 2 pieces and then smothered them with Pesto Basil from Costco (really good) and added sliced cucumbers, tomatoes & arugula.... Thank you ladies and Chef Fleming for making my morning a veritable feast! I'll be back. Oh, and I'm saving the Princess cake for my two daughters who just had birthdays... hopefully I'll get a bite! They'll never see the cannoli or tiramisu!

Chef Flemming and his team baked our wedding cake for our intimate wedding and it was delicious. My dad, who was a chef for 30 years, was extremely impressed. We asked someone to pick up the cake and they ended up forgetting, but Flemming's team was very understanding and let us pick up the cake after hours. The service is excellent, and the pastries are delicious. Thank you again!

Kevin K.

Been coming here many years. Never gotten anything I don't like (though I've always been quite partial to the princess cakes) Only reason I give 4 stars is that while they often have 3 employees, if someone is there picking up an order, they have all 3 team members scrambling to get the order together, while the line continues to grow. I've found myself just leaving at times

We stopped into this local bakery while visiting my mom, and wow--what a treat! My daughter was absolutely enchanted, especially peering into the glass case full of stunning pastries and desserts (we snapped the cutest photo of her just in awe of the display!). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating area nearby is super cozy--she made herself right at home lounging there, and I can see us coming back just to relax with a pastry and a coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, the selection of baked goods was both plentiful and top-notch (pastries, desserts, breads--you name it!), and the prices were very reasonable. Bonus: plenty of easy parking made the visit hassle-free. Whether you're a local or just popping into Henderson, this bakery is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back--and next time, we're bringing bigger appetites!

Thanks again Chef Flemming!! You did it again! Cake was beautiful and delicious!! We didn't have anything left. Can't wait till our next event!

3 year olds custom blippi cake, chocolate cake with vanilla filling, buttercream icing. We loved it!
Tina N.

I ordered a custom cake for my son's 3 year old birthday party. I was so happy with how it turned out. We ordered chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and a simple vanilla filling. It looked great and tasted even better. It was so moist and although it was sweet it wasn't overly hurt your teeth sweet it was perfect. My son was so happy! He enjoyed every bite. Also the ordering process was made so simple by Krista, she was so nice and accommodating. She gave us so many options, nice thing is we did it over the phone and email, it was very convenient. Very happy with the price too.

How much for a 8" German chocolate cake?

a 8 inch German Chocolate cake Decorated for a celebration will cost $ 60.00

Hey Chef, I love to stop by for a Yelp Elite Review visit tomorrow. Will you be available?

How much does a full princess cake cost?

We make them to fit your needs ( how many servings will you need) a 8 inch cake will serve 10-12 slices and cost $60.00

So how's the Princess Cake?

Our princess cake is 4 layers of thin sponge cake Layered with a tasty Strawberry marmalade…

Does this bakery make ice cream cakes? I have a birthday girl requesting one.

I'm not so sure but you can call them to verify. Their birthday cakes are amazing.

I love this place! It has never disappointed me!…read more The pastries, the food, the service, and the ambiance are exceptional! I love the galette, the crepes, and I could just keep going... I also love all the locations! Sad they closed the one at Lake Las Vegas but I understand. I bring all my friends while they visit and they're also very pleased! Although they've expanded, I wouldn't be shocked if there was a wait. Don't worry, it's worth it!

CREPES, COFFEE AND MORE…read more.. I went to this French cafe over a week ago to try to get a crepe to go. It was not overly busy. It's very casual and easy to order at the counter and go. Think again. I got through the line quickly. Placed my order and watched everyone around me receive their food, dine and leave within 30 minutes all while I was still standing at the front waiting for 1 gluten free crepe with fruit. There was a sign up front that asked guests to be prepared to wait longer times so I really tried to be patient. I waited. After 40 minutes still standing up front I still had no crepe. I asked the cashier if she remembered me and she said my order would be ready momentarily. I took a closer look at the order and noticed that the gluten free crepe was buckwheat batter of which when I ordered they didn't make mention of this. Due to my allergies and sensitivity I had to wait again to speak with someone else who appeared to be managing, perhaps the owner. He claimed they make their own batter and brought out the bag of buckwheat flour. Then read on google the ingredients. I really thought a gluten free crepe was mainly made of alternative flour such as coconut flour--not here. I also pulled up this information however I did not want to take a risk. He told the cashier at the counter to issue me a refund and he turned back around to make more coffee orders. I overall felt like I had wasted my time here. I used to take my kids here and haven't been here since they remodeled and expanded. I was by myself and really just wanted something to eat but was not offered anything else. That part upset me the most. Then my refund took a week long. Really thought the refund should have been immediately. The cafe is really cute! I love the decor and feel in here but just really disappointed in this whole experience and not the best quality of customer service. Located on Horizon Ridge Parkway in Green Valley.

Lobster croissant $29...overdressed, very soggy (dripping with dressing). And topped off with more aioli making it soggy and mushy. Meat tasted rubbery and over cooked. Disappointed. Ordered "iced" double espresso, came out hot. Raspberry-blueberry tart was fine... Price listed $8.95, but price came out $9.25 on the check. Need to update prices to match. Overall bill was $52.35. Sand which not worth it. Servers was nice, but not familiar with menu, and didn't realize she made the coffee incorrectly. Love supporting local business, place has potential... I didn't receive a response until the end of day on Tuesday. I also called her bakery multiple times and had no answer or response-- for 4 days! By that point, I already found another bakery to handle the cake, but had I waited, I would have been left in a very bad position. As a fellow business owner, I don't say this lightly ~ the level of communication here is pretty unacceptable. It takes legit, less than a minute to acknowledge an inquiry and set expectations. A simple "I'm totally booked out" or "I'll follow up" would have demonstrated basic professionalism and respect for a potential client's time and energy. When someone goes out of their way to find your business, fill out your form, and actively try to give you money ~ silence and negligence send a very clear message about how that effort is valued. You haven't earned a client here-- and maybe that doesn't matter to you, but word of mouth is the best form of advertisement, and that matters. My response to Christy's response: It takes less than a minute to fire off an email, or simply answer your phone. There's no such thing as "Easter Monday"-- it's just Monday. When someone reaches out with a clear deadline, a quick acknowledgment isn't optional-- it's expected. Even a one-line response would have been enough for me to plan accordingly.

We ordered the Ube Cake online, and the slice hit the spot perfectly. The cake looked beautiful - nice tall layers of soft, moist purple ube sponge cake with thick white cream filling, a creamy yellow custard-style center, and finished with whipped cream on top. The ube flavor was well-balanced: that signature nutty, earthy sweetness without being overly sweet. I've had great home-cooked Filipino ube desserts before. While this is clearly a fusion bakery version, it still captured the comforting, celebratory vibe that ube brings to Filipino tables. It reminded me of the festive sweets you'd find at family gatherings or parties back in my wifes home country. The online ordering was convenient, but the pickup instructions could have been better. The pickup area is on the same side as the drink pickup, which caused a little confusion during a busy time. Service was otherwise fast and friendly, the bakery was clean and well-stocked, and prices are reasonable for the portion size. If you're in the Henderson/Las Vegas area and looking for a quick ube fix or any of their other Asian- and Filipino-inspired pastries, this spot is worth a stop. The ube cake was definitely the highlight for me. Would definitely grab another slice next time I'm craving something purple and delicious!

If she couldn't, she shouldve done a practice run and at least given Lindsay more than a few hours notice before dropping a bomb on what should be the happiest day of someones life. This is so insanely unprofessional! Honestly, a refund is not even enough for doing that to someone on their wedding day! I spent the day before the wedding calling every single bakery in Las Vegas, willing to pay double to get her something to be able to cut with her husband on her happy day and it was too short of notice. Not only did Darlene not apologize, she tried to pass off a bulbous, over decorated cake that looked absolutely NOTHING like the picture, saying "here's your gorgeous cake". When Lindsay expressed that it wasnt even remotely close to what they discussed, she took no accountability, offered no solution and simply said, "it can't be changed, sweetheart". Upon further conversations, she said she would "try" to make something else. At $350 for flour and sugar, it should look exactly like the picture. It honestly probably took more work to make what she presented than what Lindsay actually wanted. As a small business owner myself, I know mistakes happen, but I also know the importance of customer service, making things right and taking accountability. Word to the wise, maybe do a test run first to ensure your wedding day isn't ruined if you choose to work with Darlene.

God, there was so much and I loved the experience but it was so much food, next time my bougie self needs restraint. First of all, the lychee green tea was delicious, I could drink a gallon of it; it was the right amount of sweetness with that tea aftertaste. Second, the panini and scones were my favorite overall from the tiers. I got the tomato mozzarella panini and it was toasty with spinach and pesto, I need to get another one. Third, the scones were to die for. They weren't heavy or like overly dense that you choke; the outside was buttery, crunchy, with the inside soft and full of fruit bits. It went so well with the cream and jam. I felt the other desserts on the tier weren't as wowing compared to the scones and panini; the cake in the shape of a cheese wedge is cute, but flavor profile was kind of lacking. There was just too much mousse going on that the cake inside was just mush; maybe if there was like blueberry crumble or something crunchy inside, it'd be more interesting. And the outside shell is definitely too sweet and thick, I think a glaze would have done as well, but that's just my thought. I would just go back for those scones and paninis but it was a cute set up with cute decor, I'd like to go back to try other things!

Ambiance geared toward a younger crowd. Eclectic, a little dimmer in lighting. Reminds me of…read moreurban outfitters meets library with a sprinkle of intergalactic flare. Got the tea tier for 2 people. It was a lot of food, great value as you have a lot of items on the tier: pastries, ice cream, fruit, and includes a sandwich (get the turkey...it's hot pressed panini style) and 2 drinks or a tea pot if you want. Not a traditional tea set...but nice to see their spin on it. We had 3 people and still had so much left over food. Although the presentation of some of the pastries in display were really nice, quality of pastries was average tasting. Service first time was great. The 2 gentleman working the counter were really pleasant and had a warm demeanor. Came back on my own the next week ordered a plain ice green tea. Unbeknownst to me It came sweet and asked to see if it could be remade. The tea barista said that I didn't ask for it to be unsweetened. I Mention I wasn't aware iced green tea was sweetened (otherwise i would have). She remade it but, was visibly annoyed, and kept telling me the next time to order to ask for no sweetener and all their drinks were sweetened. I already mentioned twice that I wasn't aware that it was sweetened. Interaction was a little uncomfortable as I felt tea barista kept implying fault on me based on an assumption that I should have known. On a hospitality note... a simple "yes all drink including plain ice teas do come sweetened, sorry you weren't made aware, happy to remake it" would have made a better experience. It's just a misunderstanding. Possible have staff prompt guest on sweetness level can also alleviate misunderstanding.
