We worked with @chris666trash and he didn't disappoint. We met earlier in the week to let him know what we wanted, size, and location. A couple days later, we met again to see the design mockups he created and to see if we wanted to add or change anything. The day of the tattooing, Chris was great. He talked us through each step of the process, checked in to see if we needed to stretch/move (each of our tattoos took at least an hour) during the tattooing, and told us what to expect and general after care. If you're looking to get your first or your 30th tattoo, come to Black Pearl. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I was also there to get my helix down sized and Devin helped me out. Unfortunately, I'm an "in-between" size and he wasn't able to change it out right then and there. However, Devin did tell me what size I needed and where I could purchase it. I liked that the ppl who worked there hung out in the lobby area when not working. Nice vibe from all. Chris was my brothers dream artist in general and so getting him to do the walk in was a dream come true. Everything is super clean, affordable but fair, and wicked high quality. We both plan on coming back. It was my brothers first tattoo and he was estactic and now wants Chris to do more and will make the trip since he isn't local. I plan on the same sometime!! The shop has a great atmosphere with cool art on the walls by in house artists as well as others. All of the tattoos I've seen come out of that shop are great quality, and I highly recommend checking them out. You always want to do research to ensure the artist you choose fits the style of what you're looking for, but I'm sure they would be more tha helpful in aligning you with the right person. This is a great place to go for high quality custom tattoo work and I highly recommend it if you're in the area or plan to be.

I had been contemplating a nose piercing for a bit, so I asked my husband to find a shop, half expecting him to push back - he did not. A quick Yelp search led me here. I was lucky enough to be able to get in with no wait. The shop was very clean and inviting. Doc was awesome. He very easily quelled my nerves with lighthearted conversation and joking, but was professional and obviously very knowledgeable. He talked me through each step of the process, including a very thorough explanation of aftercare, which the Type A in me appreciated. The piercing was quick and relatively painless, start to finish the whole process took about 10 min. I would definitely recommend it!
