Where do I begin. I got my first tattoo here and of all the studios I've been in this has remained my favorite. Not only is everyone welcoming and friendly but the shop is clean and rooms are private. Every artist is extremely talented and just looking through their portfolios that's confirmed. I personally need to rave about Taylor Lindley who has done 4 pieces on me, including my first tattoo. I get compliments on his work constantly. I absolutely love my tattoos and am proud of them. Yesterday I went into Spilt Milk and got my first tattoo! The studio is immaculate and decorated nicely. All staff seemed very happy to be at work and even teased one another while I sat in the waiting room. Always nice to see! I chose Maegan as my tattoo artist because she is incredible with black and gray ink. She had the design I emailed to her ready to go when I walked in (even though I was 15 minutes early) and gladly made the minute tweaks I requested. The entire appointment took about an hour and a half. I received a scallop shell on my side and it came out even better than I had expected. Also, it was only 100 dollars, which I think is a great price for the size and quality of the tattoo! Highly recommend Spilt Milk! If I wasn't moving back to California in a week, I would be back for another in no time. Don't forget to tip your tattoo artist! Happy tattooing :) read more

I visited Spilt Milk yesterday for a four hour session. I had never been tattooed there, but had seen their work on many friends and clients. Great shop! Has a great reception area, very nicely decorated and welcoming. My tattoo is amazing! Mark did an incredible job, very professional and efficient. I went with my sister to get her first tattoo and ended up getting one myself (not my first). I had a good experience, the artist was nice and the tattoo came out great. No complaints. Great tattoos, thats about it. I went here last summer and my girlfriend and I both got detailed animal heads about 6 x 6 inches big done. They came out great and cost about $200 each, which seems pretty reasonable. The art was the only good thing about it. The guy at the desk barely talked to us when we were telling him what we wanted and the artist said maybe 4 words to us the entire time making for a very awkward experience. Despite this, 9 months later I came back for a very simple tattoo as I was impressed with the first. I was going to get 2 letters, literally 5 lines about 6 inches long. They were gunna charge me more than the first tattoo! Idk if they have a minimum price or they were trying to rip me off or what, but that completely turned me off from the place. If you want to pay a lot of money for something detailed and don't mind sitting in silence the whole time come here, but I can't give the overall experience more than 3 stars. read more

Josh is an unprofessional artist he did not take time to draw my image and he got easily frustrated when his work was challenged. The business policy of this shop is unfair and when I did not choose to get my ink my deposit was not returned. 50$ to encounter an artist with an attitude was not worth my time! I had a great experience at Spilt Milk yesterday with Steve as the artist. I wanted a realistic scallop shell tattoo and brought an actual shell and picture as ideas. He quickly rendered a drawing that was exactly what I wanted--although I wanted it a little smaller than his initial drawing. He quickly made a smaller rendering and the tattoo took about 45 mins-1 hour. He was very kind and professional; I have several tattoos and not all shops/artists are as welcoming as Spilt Milk/Steve. Have been turned away from this place on the basis that my request was "not a walk in tattoo"..........except, it was very small, basic tattoo and even had a reference picture, I asked "if THIS isn't a walk in tattoo then what is?" and the only response this guy could muster with a straight face was that he didnt feel like drawing something and tattooing, where the shop was due to close two hours from the time I had walked in. I dont know if its because they sort of corner the market around here, they are one of the only (quality) shops in town, so they feel like they can send people away whenever they please but I was angry that I had just spent an hour driving there and parking all just to have them send me away. Like, dude I am trying to PAY you money right now.......I will never go there again because of this and their poor excuse for customer service. read more

I walked into this tattoo parlor with the most positive of attitudes. I had heard nothing but good things about this place prior to going inside. Upon arriving I found a beautiful tattoo parlor, that is also clean and comfortable. Unfortunately upon entering I also discovered a horrific, terrible, gaping hole of a problem with this place, tattoo artist JOSHUA KUEHN. This artist was rude, insolent, lazy, and unwilling to cooperate with me to come up with something beautiful that I loved, this behavior is completely unprofessional. Trying to work with him was frustrating and a complete waste of time. Getting a tattoo is supposed to be a meaningful experience, and no one could have diminished that quite like Josh Kuehn. I ended up walking out very overwhelmed and completely devoid of any excitement I had walking in. AVOID THIS ARTIST AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

Was really excited to receive a tattoo from one of the artists. Profile looked great and spent several months looking into it. Before starting the entire process I let them know that I have a job where I get called in to save people's lives. Agreeing to this we tried to work out a schedule. The artist drew up my tattoo but didn't call me for any insights on how the process was going or if I had any other thoughts on the piece after the consult. A few days before my scheduled appointment I had a call to my job that lead me out of cellphone range. I emailed them later to apologize and explain why I hadn't had the chance to reschedule. I was later told that they couldn't work with me. Extremely unprofessional. Additionally I've had some friends get tattooed at the same rate. I was told a different rate bc my piece was larger and the artist could get more money out of me. Would not recommend spending your hard earned money on a shop trying to swindle you for some extra cash and agree to start something then back out bc your job requires you to be on call to save people's lives... read more
