I have gone to this shop for years and absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is always welcoming, great music and the cleanliness of the studio is top notch. I am always impressed by the professionalism and skills of the team. However, I do feel compelled to tell the story of my last appointment with the artist Jessica who is no longer with the studio. I admire the transparency of this shop so much, and wanted to speak up on their behalf. I had a day rate appointment booked, my appointment was due to begin at 10:00am. She showed up 30 minutes late, and then had me wait 30-40 minutes for the stencil to dry. (Every other artist here has always started with 10 minutes of a stencil placement in my past experiences.) For most of my appointment she was bitching about what a terrible mother her roommate is, how she hates to be there on weekends when her roommates kids are there, and that she thinks her roommate is in love with her blah blah blah, then it was I'm not sure I should be with my boyfriend- I wasn't there to be her therapist! It felt like she was rushing my appointment along and although the tattoo came out ok, it definitely is sloppy in areas and needs some lines to be straightened out. It's clear that this artist had a different approach, which may not have aligned with the studio's overall standard of excellence. I will write her a review when I find out where she is working next to hopefully save others from her subpar experience. That said when I went in to speak with the owner he took swift action by addressing my concerns, apologizing and getting me on his schedule to make sure my tattoo will be perfect. Diamond Mind has a commitment to quality that is paramount. From the second I met Tim and saw his art, I knew he was the perfect artist for me. His intricate line work, complimented by the radiant colors make for realistic, high definition tattoos. My first piece by Tim obviously couldn't have been my last. I decided that I loved his work so much, I wouldn't want to go to any other artist. A year after he started my magnificent sleeve, I went to him to get my ribs done. This was all at Chronic Tattoo, in San Diego, where I first met Tim. He informed me while I was there that he would be moving across the country to Massachusetts. One year later, my best friend Jenna flew me out to Boston to visit her and to drive down to the Cape to get tattooed by Tim. I went through hell and high water to have Tim tattoo me, and it was completely and totally worth it. Tim Creed's work is absolutely breathtaking, and has an essence different from most tattoo work. The experiences that I have had being tattooed by Tim have been some of the most amazing memories I have. In 2002 I stumbled apon meeting Tim Creed when we we both on some kind of walkabout journeys in our lives. He solely saved me from getting another low grade shitty permanent mark on my skin and inscribed artwork that far exceeds price or consequence. In a short year and a half of time I traveled states to get almost 50 hours or session tattoo work done by Tim. Almost 9 years later his work is as vibrant as day 1. Unmatched by any others. When "TATTOO MAGAZINE" finally recognized him for his work (July 2004), our collaboration made it 3 different pages. It's been over 7 years since I've seen Tim and I'm currently approaching 130 hours of work...my legs are off limits (tattoos) so Tim can finish what he originally created. And if our paths unfortunately never cross again, my legs will never get tattooed again out of respect for the art! Amazing work!! After seeing Tim's work on a few of my friends, and on face book, I was completely impressed to say the least. I finally decided to get my beloved tattoo, and after many years of shopping for the best artist around, I chose Diamond Mind! I am soooo glad I did! My twin brother and i had this idea for a tattoo(about ten years). Twin dragons dueling some how across our shoulders, FIRST TATTOO EVER! What we hadn't found was the right person to do it. The dragons represent our chinese zodiac symbol. The dueling represents our struggle for our own individuality as twins, and if you are one you know what I'm saying. My co-worker got ink of a butterfly across her back and put her own eyes in the wings(IT LOOKED SWEET!!!). So we talked about me making an appt. but never got around to it till one day when i was out at the club we run into him. He was the nicest guy and excited about working on a virgin palate. It felt like he found me instead of the other way around. We had a blast getting our tats done getting color put in on our anniversary. Hope to see you there! The shop is very clean, all of the artists are excellent, talented and able to take whatever your idea is and form it into a completely custom work of art just for you. I have been to many shops and artists over the years and this shop is head/shoulders over the others - the vibe is friendly and fun, but above all they are professional, no drama, no pretentious attitudes here at all. Me, my husband and now my extended family & friends all go to Diamond Mind Tattoo for our "ink" since we discovered the shop in Buzzard Bay and we are all so happy that we did. Tim Creed is my favorite tattoo artist and I love him! I originally found Tim when he was working at Chronic Tattoo in San Diego and got a few really amazing pieces from him. Everywhere I go, people will stop me on the street and tell me how beautiful, amazing, and meticulously detailed my tattoos are. They always ask who did them, and I have to tell them that he lives in Massachusetts now. But that didn't stop me! I love Tim so much that I flew from San Diego to Boston to get some more work done. By far the best tattoo shop I have ever stepped foot in. It is superbly clean, the atmosphere is extremely pleasant and the work that the guys do is AMAZING!. All of the artist are very talented and work tirelessly to be as accommodating as possible taking the time to work up a design specifically to your asking. They strive to make every customer as happy as possible not only with their artwork but the entire experience as a whole. If anyone out there looking for one of the most talented artists in MA, Tim Creed is the person you want to see! I was able to schedule my appointment and hit Tim with a couple ideas. He did the rest. I let Tim do his thing and I was stoked with the ocean sleeve idea he came up with. Tim did not stencil the tat on but just drew everything free hand. Sometimes you have to let the artist use his talent and you will get his best work. Tim's shop is a clean, sterile environment where you can sit back relax and enjoy some pain. I have been getting tattooed for years by Tim, he fixed some of my old work up and let me tell you that it is like new. The tattoo looks like the old one wasn't ever there. Besides his amazing talent skills and color work, he is super laid back and an absolute pleasure to get tattooed by. Time flies by as he is tattooing and has a lot of stories to tell which takes your mind off the procedure. I have 3 tattoos done by Tim at Diamond Mind Tattoo. All of them are custom designed to meet my needs and wants. Tim is great about hearing what you want and coming up with a great design you want to put on your body. My first two are on my forearms and my third is on my side (3 sittings for that one). The shop is a hidden gem in Buzzards Bay and should not be missed. There is no place I would go or recommend for ink other then here. I will absolutely be heading back!! read more
