The owner is particularly knowledgeable and has been very helpful when searching for the right product for each job. I have always preferred to use Benjamin Moore paints, but also appreciate being able to get qualified advice from an experienced professional. This is something just that can't be found at the big box stores. About two years ago I refinished my kitchen cabinets and painted my home's exterior. The gutters were covered in mildew and the kitchen cabinets had been hastily painted by the prior owner with cheap paint and had numerous finishing defects. The owner advised me on surface prep and recommended excellent products, including a paint that would minimize the need for multiple coats on my exterior. He even custom tinted a recommended primer (which wasn't a Benjamin Moore product, surprisingly) for my cabinets. Two years later, in a home with a young child, both paint jobs still look as good as they did on day one. I highly recommend them and will be buying all of my paints here.

They sell paint and wallpaper and the supplies to work with paint and wallpaper. That's it. So, they know a lot about it. We have walls with oil paint on them. A basement with brick. Our exterior is painted. Everything we talked to them about, they knew the best way to attack it. I have been painting my house (wherever that house may be) for many, many years and I thought I knew it all. But, when I talked to these people, they showed me that there was still much to learn. I did not get a 24-hour response back as promised, which should have been on 4//12/26. I did not expect that call since it was Sunday, but surely on Monday, 4/13, someone should have called. Now it's 4/18/26, so I called the 800 number again and was told the problem would be expedited. Well, I had to call again on 4/23, then I went to the Michigan Rd location and spoke to someone, and they promised to help. Nothing came from that, so I'm calling Lowe's again today, 4/29/26, and the representative of Lowe's was rude, so I stopped dealing with him. I am a very dissatisfied customer who will never shop at Lowe's again.

He went above & beyond to help me under the circumstances even though he probably wasn't expecting me to buy there. I let him know that i was shopping at Lowe's who referred me to the Sherwin-Williams store for specific color cards. Although Lowe's sells the products, cards for those colors were unavailable as of end July 2023, pending an update to their Sherwin-Williams display. SW - First Rate service!

There were four customers waiting to be helped. I generally know my way around the store and was going to look at some mis-tints when I was rudely told "you can't be back here!" Well the tens of times I've been in that exact area had told me otherwise. Additionally there was no sign that said employees only. I waited a few minutes to be helped and none of the other customers were helped. Needless to say, I will be taking my business across the street to Sherwin Williams or another PPG. Save yourself the time and disappointment, avoid this store.

This store is about 2 miles from me. I now spend the money in gas and drive by it and go 3 miles further to a box store and I get help. I filed a complaint with Ace corporate and was told many things by corporate Customer Care. I was told the regional manager and the district manager would get involved. That never happened. I have received no communication from this particular store.
