I purchased mulch from Lowe's on 4/10/26. The order came on 4/11/26; it was 5 bags short, so I called the same day to report the shortage. I did not get a 24-hour response back as promised, which should have been on 4//12/26. I did not expect that call since it was Sunday, but surely on Monday, 4/13, someone should have called. Now it's 4/18/26, so I called the 800 number again and was told the problem would be expedited. Well, I had to call again on 4/23, then I went to the Michigan Rd location and spoke to someone, and they promised to help. Nothing came from that, so I'm calling Lowe's again today, 4/29/26, and the representative of Lowe's was rude, so I stopped dealing with him. I am a very dissatisfied customer who will never shop at Lowe's again. read more

I want to give a review of Selena at the Lowe's Glendale store in Indy. She recently helped me with a patio furniture issue. She was so kind and so helpful, that for a minute, I thought I was at Von Maur, with all her extra effort trying to help me either keep what I ordered or substitute it with another patio set. I like a lot about this store - location, product availability, mostly friendly employees. But my biggest issue is that you can rarely find someone to help you. All associates are either non-existent or busy, and they never proactively ask "can I help you find anything?" I hauled a bunch of fence panels up to the checkout, and they rang up the wrong price. I told the cashier that. She said I had to go all the way back to the back of the store to take a photo of the price sign. Mind you, she was not alone at the front, there was another woman who could have done that, but they made this 67 year old man walk all the way to the back to do their job. This was after I had to walk from the far end of the landscape department to the far end of the construction materials department to get a large cart and push it across the entire store because they had no large carts in the landscape area. In the rare instance you can actually find an employee, they'll keep walking past you like they don't see or hear you, or act irritated with your questions. Absolutely terrible service here and worse on the delivery service. I went to buy a washer and was going to buy a matching said and I knew there was a discount if you bought them together. The guy pretty much refused to sell me a dryer. They were supposed to haul out the old washer and the delivery driver showed up solo and couldn't get it downstairs. Acted like he could care less. Rescheduled and after they installed the new one they said they just couldn't get the old one out. I told them it had gotten in somehow. Tough crap for me. This time I went to buy a fridge for my wife's Christmas present. I explained my circumstances and was assured the drivers were professional. They get here and say they can't get the old fridge out. Talked to their boss told I would get a call back. Got another call and was told they would send a bigger team. So I told my wife they were coming back tomorrow. Just got another call saying they can't help me. And the attitude was just like sucks to be you. We don't give a crap about you, your wife or Christmas. Yeah, yeah, we'll credit your account. I like this Lowe's because it has a huge Halloween and Christmas section during those times of the year. It's fun to just walk in here and peruse their holiday goods. Their parking lot is pretty large and spacious, too. Oh, and one time, I had to return something but I didn't have a receipt, and they accepted it anyway without question. Nice! A refrigerator was delivered on time but water started leaking out of the refrigerator a few hours after delivery. They scheduled a delivery for the next day to replace the refrigerator but brought the wrong one and said I had to wait another 2 days to get a new one. The water line was still hooked up to the refrigerator and I couldn't unhook it so I had to turn off the water to the house for 3 days. When I called to ask for some kind of credit for having to wait with no water, all they said you have to wait for the new one or cancel the order entirely. I can't cancel because I need the refrigerator by Thanksgiving. So family had to go without water for 3 days. Horrible way to treat customers that are willing to hang with company for a new product. read more

Service is iffy. If you can get the attention of an associate they often try to help you. Problem is getting their attention. Most seem to walk with their eyes intentionally diverted so as to avoid contact. Calling the store is even worse. Is anyone responsible for answering the phone? There are times I pop in here for something I need quickly and I"m in the area. And, every time I do, I'm reminded why I do my best to always go somewhere else. Yes, it's big, and they have a lot of stuff. That said, this particular is more than lacking in customer service. I'll clarify, if you can find someone to help, they're typically happy to help. But I've had a pretty hard time finding someone to assist me at this particular location. Last time we went, we went to the service counter because we couldn't find what we were looking for, and waited and waited while the folks behind the counter took phone calls then disappeared (It appeared to be they were filling phone orders), and they'd occasionally look at us standing there waiting for service, then go back to what they were doing. Again, they usually have what I need, but the lack of customer service doesn't make it worth my time to go there. read more

The contractor comes to the home, gives me the quote - it's going to cost $7500 for install and warranty. How?'! I try to get an explanation and he talks to me about liability and labor costs and warranties. A warranty shouldn't cost the same as the unit itself!! Don't get scammed. Thank you, 4H, FFA and farm parents. All this to say, this particular Lowe's is working it hard to raise prices and fool the city kids into paying more than they should to grow a garden and raise a houseplant. In fact, once I was fooled and purchased a Christmas tree here, a live one, for $80/$90 and then found the exact same tree at another Lowe's on the south side of Indy for half the price. Needless to say, I returned a live Christmas tree. It was both comical and sad how the prices vary between the two locations and demographics. On December 17, 2022 I purchased a box of "Commercial Pro" multicolor LED icicle bulbs, thinking they were a string of lights that could be plugged into an electrical outlet. Upon opening the box, I realized it contained replacement bulbs, not a string of lights. I was disappointed but thought ok, I'll return these in January when the busy holiday season is over. I made a trip to Lowes yesterday (Jan 6), only to be told that Lowes will not accept Christmas decoration returns after December 25! No where on the receipt does it say this. They pointed to a small sign at the Customer Service desk that stated this policy. Who is going to notice this policy as they are purchasing Christmas decorations??!! Does Lowes allow returns of patio furniture after Labor Day that were purchased in August? A great deal of what Lowes sells would be considered seasonal. I was beyond disappointed when I was told this return (I provided my receipt) would not be accepted. The cost was less than $10, but that is not the point. We've never really needed extra assistance as we're pretty good at navigating the store and finding what we need but when we do need help, it can take a while to find an employee to ask questions. I do love that when we do find an employee, they are more than helpful with useful suggestions and recommendations. I also love that it's dog friendly and our dog is always greeted and pet and sometimes the employees have dog treats as well. They have a good selection of plants and outdoor improvements that we love. We love to DIY and can find almost everything here. I will admit the prices can be a bit high here as we've been able to find the same item for lower prices at competitors/other Lowe's stores, or online (other retailers and lowes.com). This location can be quite busy since it's located around Broad Ripple. read more

Wow! I can't believe I'm even taking the time to write a Lowe's review, but we just had the best customer service (possibly ever). Tom is a gem and deserves an award. We are fixing up an old house and had questions about everything you could imagine: windows, water heaters, doors, fixtures. Tom walked us everywhere and explained everything with incredible knowledge...knowledge that you would expect from a home inspector or contractor. We left with everything we needed and a free home improvement education. Do yourself a favor...go to this specific location and ask for Tom. It's a Lowe's. They're pretty much the same everywhere you go. Store is clean and they have just about everything you would ever need to build a house. This rating is a little lower than it should be for a Lowe's because I have been let down a couple times by the staff. First, I bought a gas grill here in September (end-of-season clearance sale) and had them hold it in the storeroom for me because I was going to be moving in November. When I returned in November to pick up my grill, they couldn't find it and thought they might have sold it to someone else. To compensate me for the inconvenience, they sold me another grill (also a floor model for just $100). I specified I needed a grill that could be converted to use natural gas and the manager assured me that this model could do that and also sold me a natural gas conversion kit. When my plumber tried to hook it up to the natural gas line, he couldn't figure out how to do it. He called the grill manufacturer's service center and they told him that there is no way to do it with any of their grills. I had to go back to Lowe's again and buy yet another grill. It hasn't been delivered yet so this review may need to updated when it arrives. read more

When I first moved into my new house it seemed like I basically lived at Lowe's. I became very familiar with their employees and location of items. The employees were always very helpful at answering any questions I had, and if they didn't know the answer they would get someone who did. The store itself is always clean and always packed! I love that they have self check out as well. It makes my shopping experience that much more pleasant because you can be in and out in no time. Whatever I would be looking for, they always had in stock. They also make returns very easy... I'd either buy the wrong item or too much of something and I was always at ease knowing the return process was so easy. They know people make mistakes lol They're human too. I even had a wire rack cut in store and when I got home it was too short, either I measured wrong or I told them the wrong measurement and they still let me return it and get a new rack that was cut at the right length. I love that they allow you to bring your pets in as well. This just seems like the perfect place to shop for all your home improvement needs. The reason for 4 stars is due to the gentleman who works in the locks department. I was having all of my exterior door handles replaced and wanted to get them keyed two different ways (one way for front door, and one way for back door). I was told my someone else that if I bought the locks/handles there that I wouldn't have to pay a re keying fee. I did buy from there but ordered online because they didn't have what I wanted in stock at that location. When I brought them in he said I would be paying a rekeying fee due to them not being purchased that day. Get this.... is $5 a lock to re key and I had 4-6 locks that needed re keyed. I wasn't very happy with this but he said that was their policy. I still don't agree it should have been handled that way. I ended up taking them to Home Depot where I told them the situation and they re keyed them all for me at no charge. read more

I visited this Lowe's location daily for a bit, while settling into my new home and running back n' forth for the umpteenth, millionth item that I inevitably had forgotten. I came to dread Lowes', especially during my first visits when trying to navigate the confusing layout. You'd probably find me, zombiefied, eyes glazed over in the knobs & handles section. I now have come to gently accept the role of Lowe's in my life, as a new home-owner, and am semi-proficient in finding the random aisle location of oven wipes, contact paper or other weird hardware items one never expected to own. On busy days, the check-out lines can get backed up, even with the self-checkout kiosks readily available. I try not to enter through the garden area, as I want to immediately purchase every flower and bush in sight, take it home, where it will slowly die due to my lack of a green thumb. read more

I was blown away by the green house alone! Beautiful plants and flowers were in abundance, and I felt like I was in a beautiful garden of heaven! Everyone here was superbly helpful. The store associates know where their products are located in the store. As well as, what product would best suit your needs. Excellent for cost efficiency. My baby bro and I also got a great deal price matching at the check out! How cool is that for a hardware store I say check this place out. You may never want to leave!! I have ordered online 3 times. First time I got what I ordered. 2nd time I signed up with their CC and was supposed to receive a 20% discount on the items ordered, but the router that showed as being in stock was not. When I questioned how I was going to be able to use my discount when they do get one in, I was not given a clear answer. they ended up canceling my order before getting me an answer on my discount...and 3 weeks later the inventory is still showing they have 3 in stock, but they don't. At this point I am assuming the inventory will never be fixed and they will never have the router I ordered in stock again, so I bought one through Amazon for 10% less than what Lowe's has it listed for. Not the 20% I was hoping for, but how long am I supposed to wait? The 3rd time I ordered online I ordered a Table saw that needed to be delivered. It said the delivery date would be 6/17/2022 at the latest and I had projects set up for the weekend. I received an email on 6/16 saying it had arrived at the greenwood warehouse and was out for delivery. I swear I asked for it to be delivered to the store, but it was being delivered to my home, and said it required a signature. I have to work a regular job and would not be home to sign so I spent about 2 hrs on the phone that night trying to figure out if the delivery was sent back because I wasn't home. I could not get a straight answer. The next morning, I called back to try to talk to a manager and was told they do not know where my order was. The tracking number was saying it was in greenwood, but they never got it. This was Friday morning 6/17. They said it should be delivered by Monday. I had Monday off for Juneteenth so even if I had to sign, I would be home. fast forward through the weekend and it's Tuesday 6/21. I still don't have my table saw. I was given the tracking number for Estes (the delivery company) and their phone number, so I called them directly on Tuesday. They told me it was supposed to be on their truck, but was not when the truck was unloaded, so Lowes did not check the packing slip when the truck was offloaded to make sure my saw was there. They even sent me an email saying it was, and that it was out for delivery. The only reason this is not a 1-star review is because they had one person in the store that seemed to care and really tried to help me get answers. His name was Tamaris Anderson at the Lowes sore in Indianapolis on North Rural street. He even emailed me directly to update me when he had more information. Lowes screwed up bigtime on everything else. I will never order online through them again, and would suggest no one else does either. Terrible customer service (other that Tamaris) and they seem to mess it up more often than they get it right. Trying to get it corrected WILL take hours of your time, and in my case, it never was. I wish Tamaris wasn't so helpful because this should be a one star review...give that man a raise! Now I have to call the Store and cancel the order. I had to buy a saw elsewhere. I had to change it to a 1 star review. After calling Lowe's to make sure my order is cancelled and I won't be charged they said they cannot without filling some kind of report. I didn't want to have interest on my credit card for an Item I never received, and they said they would have to call me back later...How hard is it to cancel an order for an item that is lost and can't be delivered? Why is this an issue at all? I wish they were not so close to me or I had another close option because I can't afford the gas to constantly drive to home depot. Bought a multi-pot in 2019 with a 2 year product protection plan. Had some issues a year ago with the cord being loose and not powering on. Called Lowe's who told me they couldn't do anything for it because it was still under the manufacturer's warranty. Finally the unit has completely stopped powering on and so I checked on line and it says the protection plan is expired. Tried to call the protection plan line and been on hold for an hour and 20 minutes! Total scam. Lowe's just takes your money. No service. No support. Update they finally answered the call after almost 2 hours and tried to cover for whoever lied to me when I called last time or the website today. I explained that if I wasn't covered a little over a year ago and am not covered now then what 2 years was this protection plan for? I bout it in 2019. read more
