Today I needed a 12V 4.5 AH battery for my home security system. No one else had it in stock so I took a chance and called Great Lakes Battery. I have never replaced this battery before so I took a picture. Sorry I did not get a name but a young lady helped me find the right battery. If I could give zero stars, I would! They sold me a bad battery. Don't pay cash whatever you do!!! They completely lost all my information and wouldn't stand behind their guarantee! So far, super impressed. Extremely responsive to email and all comm. Appears to work with the community on a huge variety of needs. I was leaning towards my old standby of online shopping for best deal of a boat battery...but, I am hopeful that with my purchase here, I will learn more about batteries! West Marine or Mikes Marine... no way. We all know that so many of our daily things need a battery to run; however...how many of us know the difference of amps, volts, watts, ohms etc??? Do NOT trust these people!! They will RIP you off. They sell used faulty batteries. What they don't do is give you a receipt if you pay cash they do not log you in their computer. I paid $50 for a battery. I'm on social security disability and can not afford to be taken. He knew when he sold me the battery it was faulty. Shame on him!!! read more

Jeff and his crew are great! They were able to get me back on the road in just a few minutes with a brand new battery for my wife's car. They diagnosed that the problem was a bad battery.
