Diesel Pro Movers LLC moved us from our Painesville condo to a condo in Mentor. The team mishandled…read moremany of our belongings, and as a result our 85 inch television, and freezer were damaged beyond repair. In addition, a new television stand that was just delivered to the condo, along with the wall and ceiling were damaged when they attempted to place it in the desired location. The items were all damaged after unloading them from the truck at the new location, and each instance was specifically due to negligence. The team members removed all padding from the items prior to removing them from the truck. In the case of the television, they lifted it with their hands against the screen. This caused internal damage. The screen was severely smudged on one side but not cracked. When I saw them carrying it in this manner I remarked on it to my husband and asked him to plug in the set and check it before they left. You can see from the photos the damage that was caused. Each item was purchased in February of this year except the television stand, which was freshly delivered the same day. When I reported the damage to the owner, I was accused of making a fraudulent claim to extort new merchandise from Diesel Pro Movers. They refused to credit us any amount other than 59 cents per pound for the television, which amounted to less than $60 for a $2399 set. The entire event was unbelievable. We had hundreds of dollars of meat stored in the freezer, and each product was new...only three months old. I had no incentive for replacing any of the items. The team grew belligerent. The lead member Geoffrey, and one of his associates shouted obscenities and was hostile towards my husband. Our fifteen year old daughter was in the house, as was a representative from Spectrum. They had to leave to avoid further escalating the situation since the team refused to leave our premises. He called the police and all three were removed from the house. Please do yourself a favor and hire professional movers to assist you and not this company. The amount of money you think you are saving is not worth losing these types of items or those which might be of sentimental value to you.

Mike, and his colleague Scott, showed up in a nice large truck and loaded up quickly within an hour. They were efficient and took great care to make sure that none of our items were damaged. The move was from Rocky River to Vermilion and within 3 1/2 hours, everything was deposited in the new location with care and attention. I was really pleased with all of the communication I had with Mike in person and electronic. They were repeatedly willing to move things around in the new location to suit our needs and that was really nice to see. It was a full service move and I cannot recommend accurate moves by Mike enough!

First, the movers started putting items on the truck that I had clearly set aside to throw away, including a dryer. After loading things that weren't supposed to be moved, they then told me they were running out of room on the truck. Once we arrived at the new place, the pace became extremely slow. There were four movers, but at times it seemed like only one person was actually going back and forth upstairs and putting furniture back together. I was told they were using a "chain line," but whatever system they were using was not efficient. The move ended up taking two hours longer than expected, which added approximately $500 to my bill. Even worse, they broke my daughter's TV, which she had only owned for about four months. When I tried to file a claim, I repeatedly called and was told that a manager would contact me. I kept speaking with the same person, John, who would act surprised each time that no manager had called me back. Eventually, they stopped answering my calls altogether. As we've continued unpacking, we've discovered another serious issue. The TV stand had been taped closed with belongings inside of it, but when it arrived at the new place, those items were missing and the TV stand was empty. My biggest problem isn't just that things went wrong during the move--it's the company's lack of accountability afterward. Items were damaged, other belongings appear to be missing, my bill increased by hundreds of dollars because of the additional time, and my attempts to resolve the issues have been ignored. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again and cannot recommend them. If something gets damaged or goes missing, don't expect them to make the claims process easy or to take responsibility.
