MY ORIGINAL REVIEW WAS TOO LONG FOR GOOGLE/YELP. THAT'S HOW BAD THIS WAS! I would give this entire moving experience zero stars if possible. The short version of all of this; we paid $2,000 to move a 1375 square foot apartment, one story, no stairs. To another apartment, almost the exact same floor plan. I moved about half, if not more, of all of our furniture and boxes myself. My mother and my girlfriend also were helping to load/unload the truck. I also watched them drop my grill off of the truck, damaged multiple pieces of furniture, "hooked up" my washer and dryer only to discover the washing machine was spraying water on the wall and the dryer vent was never hooked up and was now missing. I moved myself from the same size apartment prior with just a U-Haul truck and help from my mom and stepdad. I moved from Michigan back to Ohio in a total of 5 hours. With 3 movers from 2 Men and a Truck, they started at 9:30 am and didn't leave until 6:15 pm. The entire time this was going on I was on and off the phone with the main office, the owner/operator of the franchise (Ron) and even had a manager COME OUT TO MY HOUSE TO LOOK ME IN THE EYES AND SAY "oh I apologise". WE MOVED OVER HALF OF THE ITEMS/FURNITURE OURSELVES! I got a more sincere apology from the main office lady Alesha than the manager of the company! I was moving faster than the people that I hired to move our items, and then one of the movers complained that "they're taking all the light stuff off the truck". I SHOULDN'T BE TAKING ANY OF THIS STUFF OFF THE TRUCK! If my girlfriend, mother and myself didn't help the movers move all of the items that we did, the move wouldn't have been done until at least 8:00 pm. At the end of it all, I originally only got offered a 10% discount! I DID A MAJORITY OF THE WORK WHILE THE MOVERS WERE HERE, AND I HAD TO FIX THEIR MISTAKES AFTER THEY LEFT!! In the end we got a 20% discount, still paying just about $2,000 for having done a majority of the work myself! Looking back on it, I've had a better experience hiring movers off of craigslist, and they never damaged any of my furnitire! I only paid them $800 and spent $200 on a U-Haul truck! I have damage to a desk, dresser, mirror, headboard for our bed, and was told that they have a wood repair worker that can come out and fix it. I send them pictures to get that process started, then I am told that those items would need to be packed up and taken off site to be fixed. So I'm just supposed to take my entire computer set up off my desk and set it on the floor? Put our clothes on the floor? Put our bed on the floor and in pieces? For what, 1 week, 2 weeks, based on the service I've gotten so far I guess 3 weeks isn't out of the question! GO TO CRAIGSLIST OR FACEBOOK FOR MOVERS BEFORE YOU COME TO 2 MEN AND A TRUCK! read more

Was very difficult to get any help and now almost one month later I cannot get them to finish repairs. They do NOT keep their promises, do not return calls and charge ridiculous prices. On May 25, 2023, Two Men and A Truck from the Elyria. Ohio location moved my 80 year old mom from one apartment to another. The WORST experience ever. It took them 14 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment. They had to make 2 trips because they claimed they cannot stack the boxes very high. When moving the furniture in they damaged the wood work and scratched the walls in a newly remodeled suite. One of the workers just stood around. In fact I caught lurking around the upstairs of her old apartment. Makes you wonder what he was looking for. There were multiple items damaged and broken. This move cost me over $2300.00. I dont think they deserve more than $500.00. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. read more

I reached out for a quote and was scheduled for a virtual walk through. I was not told the appointment was a "window" so sat waiting an hour for someone to respond. The walk through was done by the "Manager" who advised she would have the quote for me " Possibly tonight, but definitely by tomorrow." That all came and went with no follow up. I called the office to inquire and the office gal told me the manager had gone on vacation. They finally called me back 6 days later and I told them I went elsewhere, I couldn't sit around waiting for someone to follow through. Wasted at least 2 hours of my time that I had cleared on my calendar. read more

Two Men and a Truck in Elyria did a great job with my long distance move to Chicago. They did a lot of work to make their price competitive with the national movers. The benefit of using Two Men and a Truck was they moved me out of Cleveland and into Chicago on the same day. National movers take a few days to deliver to the final location. Dynasty did a great job understanding my move and getting that price to a point where I was happy with it. That price also stayed the same at the completion of the move. Too many times I have been nickeled and dimed. Not this time. On the day of the move, the movers - Dajaun and Ken - did a great job. They were efficient, quick, patient and helpful. They also kept their masks on the entire time. I felt safe and I hope they did, too. I appreciated that they offloaded me the same day and got everything to where I needed it. Give Two Men and a Truck a chance when thinking about a long-distance move. And absolutely consider them for anything local. They were great! read more

It is quite obvious why they charge by the hour. They talked me into paying for three men because it would be faster -- certainly wasn't the case! I am a senior citizen with 2 forty year old daughters and we could have moved all of the boxes in half the time. The entire experience was a nightmare. Everything was being moved into a storage unit and they had no idea how to pack it. At the point where everything was at the storage facility and no more room, I had to rent another storage unit. Three nice guys that moved so slow and milked out every hour they could get. Such a waste of money. Won't be calling them to move me from the storage unit to my new house in the Spring! read more
