Mike, and his colleague Scott, showed up in a nice large truck and loaded up quickly within an hour. They were efficient and took great care to make sure that none of our items were damaged. The move was from Rocky River to Vermilion and within 3 1/2 hours, everything was deposited in the new location with care and attention. I was really pleased with all of the communication I had with Mike in person and electronic. They were repeatedly willing to move things around in the new location to suit our needs and that was really nice to see. It was a full service move and I cannot recommend accurate moves by Mike enough!

Diesel Pro Movers LLC moved us from our Painesville condo to a condo in Mentor. In addition, a new television stand that was just delivered to the condo, along with the wall and ceiling were damaged when they attempted to place it in the desired location. The items were all damaged after unloading them from the truck at the new location, and each instance was specifically due to negligence. The team members removed all padding from the items prior to removing them from the truck. In the case of the television, they lifted it with their hands against the screen. This caused internal damage. The screen was severely smudged on one side but not cracked. When I saw them carrying it in this manner I remarked on it to my husband and asked him to plug in the set and check it before they left. You can see from the photos the damage that was caused. Each item was purchased in February of this year except the television stand, which was freshly delivered the same day. When I reported the damage to the owner, I was accused of making a fraudulent claim to extort new merchandise from Diesel Pro Movers. They refused to credit us any amount other than 59 cents per pound for the television, which amounted to less than $60 for a $2399 set. The entire event was unbelievable. We had hundreds of dollars of meat stored in the freezer, and each product was new...only three months old. I had no incentive for replacing any of the items. The team grew belligerent. The lead member Geoffrey, and one of his associates shouted obscenities and was hostile towards my husband. Our fifteen year old daughter was in the house, as was a representative from Spectrum. They had to leave to avoid further escalating the situation since the team refused to leave our premises. He called the police and all three were removed from the house. Please do yourself a favor and hire professional movers to assist you and not this company. The amount of money you think you are saving is not worth losing these types of items or those which might be of sentimental value to you.

Please note we paid for additional insurance to cover up to $15,000 worth of damage. I spent weeks trying to get in touch with someone. Jovelyn who was barely responsive. The company would screen my calls. Then finally the GM, Scott, took over my case. The company admitted fault and took responsibility, then the company agreed to replace our furniture that was damaged/broken (I have proof) and then Mike (whom till this day refuses to return my calls) decided I had to file a claim through this CSI company that investigates claims. After waiting almost 2 weeks for Jovelyn to get me the information I needed to file, I complete one. Then I contacted Moving Ahead Services MULTIPLE times because no one from this CSI claims ever reached out to me or answered my emails/calls after I filed. It's now August 22nd, I moved June 13, and I'm still sleeping on a bed on the floor because my bed frame was snapped in half. I hesitated a bit, thinking that maybe they would not have enough movers, so he then said he would be sure to have 4 men, but requested $400. That was still very reasonable, much less than other movers I called. He arrived a week later with the truck, 3 other men, many straps to keep the piano stable in the truck. What amazed me was that he then proceeded to wrap my 60-year old piano in plastic, further protecting it from damage. The men were super polite, and they made the transport within an hour, moving into my friend's home flawlessly. I highly recommend this outstanding team! Just one more item: I did prepare a written contract with the agreed-upon quote and delivery address. Kelvin gladly signed it, keeping his copy and returning mine. This gave me peace of mind that I might not have had otherwise when hiring someone I did not know.
