I removed my 5-star rating after receiving my goods (out-of-state move). I was happy that they showed up on time but were adamant that I pay upfront in cash, which I did (now I realize no recourse). Upon unloading, I see that numerous issues were at hand (pictures attached): * Marble table placed on top of TV (Stored on top of an upside down table / legs). * Multiple items stores in position never intended. * Large pieces of furniture resting (bouncing) against Living Room TV. * Christmas boxes placed on bottom of stack (crushed). * Fragile antiques placed on bottom on stack of heavy boxes. * Multiple items not wrapped (despite having left over moving blankets now have dings & scratched that could have been avoided). * Wood able that had so much weight on it, screws stripped out and wobbles. * Broken Kitchen Chair. * Workbench (loaded) placed sideways and belongs inside just bouncing all over. * NOTHING tied down. They were in such a hurry to finish the job that they loaded in such a shoddy way, there was no way that this could arrive without significant damage (in hindsight). After I removed my review, the owner contacted me asking if I had an issue with their work. I sent him pictures and no response. If they respond to this, please don't let them sweet talk you into using them. These guys are shoddy. To add insult, to injury - I tipped these guys quite well. I thought I was hiring pro's to handle my move. I got a bunch of guys throwing stuff into a PODS that simply did not care what kind of shape it was in once it arrived to it's end location. A week after my move I needed someone to move my dad into a new apartment last minute and I emailed them on a Sunday and got a response that day to move him in the next morning! The is the worst company I've ever used. My furniture was scratched so bad and dragged on the ground. The owner was very unprofessional and the guys helping him he talked so bad to them. This guy took my bed frame apart and left one my TV's at the old place and when I questioned him about putting my frame back together he got really angry because he didn't want to put it back together and deliberately started an argument with me and used profanity and said he wasn't going do anything and he didn't put my frame back together nor did he go back to get my TV. So what I did was go to the courts and file a claim against him for damaging my furniture and I also took the liberty of contacting the movers association in Columbus. Overall I had a good experience and would use Eddie's services again I was quoted a flat rate of $175 via e-mail to move a large dining room set consisting of a heavy table, 8 chairs, side buffet, and server ~15 miles from Solon to west Cleveland on a Sun afternoon. Eddie was firm it had to be cash and upfront before loading furniture - payment at the destination before offloading wasn't acceptable - but did give me a proper contract/receipt after payment. Eddie showed up quite early, beating me to the seller despite giving him a time 10 minutes after I had intended to arrive. He brought along one helper to move and a trailer attached to his pickup truck that was more than big enough to handle the furniture with lots of room to spare. He had a giant spool of plastic wrap and some moving blankets ready to wrap and protect the furniture, but luckily everything was still packed up by the seller from a prior move. The move was off the main floor near the door at the seller, but a couple of flights of stairs at my place, including an extra flight to the attic for a few of the items. The move took about 2 hours in total from start to finish. My only really concern was that there were times that I felt they were prioritizing speed over ensuring no damage to the furniture. That said, I didn't notice any damage to the set, so maybe I was being paranoid. Eddie didn't offer/help to reattach the table legs and set it up, but neither did I ever ask him to. I had contacted 5+ places to try move the set and no one else could accommodate me that weekend. He was on the lower end of all the quotes I received. One person guesstimated $125-150, but would have charged me an actual hourly rate + expenses, so that might not have been realistic. A few people have complained about communicating with Eddie. He did come off as rushed when talking on the phone, and I'm pretty sure he mistook me for a telemarketer the first time I called and wanted me to get to the point very quickly, but he was never outright rude. He was very prompt with all e-mail communications, and most importantly he never misrepresented his services. read more

So, I've hired other movers in the Cleveland area before, and I've never been as happy as I was with these guys. I called on a Friday, and they squeezed me in early on Saturday, no complaints, no additional charges. My girlfriend and I had an entire 2 bedroom apartment to move. They charged $130 (roughly half of what I was being charged for other places) and finished the entire move from a 2nd floor apartment to a 3rd floor apartment across town in less than 3 hours. I want to add that they did all of this while the rain was pouring down on them. No complaints. No excuses. It seems that the negative reviews all focus on personalities. This is ludicrous. I hired these guys to move my stuff from one spot to another. They did that and, to be perfectly honest, they were funny and personable, as well. They joked with me about the weather, and offered to help us out if we needed some smaller furniture pickup runs in the coming weeks. I can't recommend these guys enough. Affordable. Efficient. They charge a flat rate, so they don't do exploit the hourly rate by dragging their feet like my previous movers have done. A+. 5 stars. I will be using this moving company in the future. read more

Then, I called them this morning about the rain and how do they keep my stuff dry. This is what I got: "Well maybe you want to call another mover. Funny how all the bad reviews are from people who did NOT use this service, but rather people who called for quotes and wanted discounts. Yes, the man on the phone was very short and to the point on quote and explanation of services covered, but I was Happy as Heck with my move. His Rate was almost 1/2 of other movers I called, and my items were moved SAFELY to my Storage Unit & House. The man answering the phone may not want to be your phone friend but this company is definitely in my phone to use again. People leaving reviews who did NOT use their services, should be ashamed of theirselves , leaving a negative review on a person hired to answer the phone, clearly with anxiety disability. This Company should be praised. Person answering phone is clearly happy to be working until rudeness starts with caller because they want discounts. A-Ok. They had my entire apartment packed up in the truck in less than an hour (and I had a ton of boxes)! They wrapped my stuff and put covers on my mattresses for me. They were professional with no frill. Just a bunch of strong guys to move your crap! I def recommend! They came with 3 guys and one huge truck. Charged only $240! Trust me I got quotes from other companies much higher! They charge by the job, not by the hour so they don't drag there feet like other movers I have used in the past. No frills moving at a reasonable price! I needed to get some heavy furniture from the basement to the upstairs, and I needed it done fast. After calling a few companies for quotes, Eddie gave me the best price. He and two guys showed up on time the next morning, and got my items moved in less than an hour. They wrapped up the sofa and stereo unit in protective plastic, and even had to take the side door off the hinges to get a queen sofa sleeper out the side door. They were careful, quick and thorough. UPDATED after business owner messaged me about original review. Wow. 1 star. If I could give 0 stars I would. I created a Yelp account just to write this review because it was so bad. They were not just an hour late, or two hours. They were EIGHT HOURS LATE. We spent an entire day sitting on boxes and trying to find someone else to move us. When they finally did show up, there was an old man with the crew who looked like he was going to keel over and die at any moment who they stuck in the trailer with our stuff while the young, healthy guys sat in the pickup. The owner noted that there was an air vent in the trailer and the man was needy. So that makes it ok? This experience was AWFUL. So one star hardly does it justice. The next time we moved, we spent about $250 instead of $150 for UHaul movers and they were quick, professional and on time. Not worth the money saved to use this awful company - plus, if you leave them a poor review, you might get messaged by the business years later, not for an apology, but to argue with you. read more

Very rude and unprofessional! This is my first move and they were my first call as I priced moving companies. The guy was very short on the phone with me but I got a quote for a Saturday move and continued calls. I called back a few hours later to see if they offered a different rate for a weekday move as this seemed fairly common from my other calls. The same man I spoke with earlier said every day was the same. I asked what kind of moves qualified for their $130 starting rate, which they heavily advertise. Apparently, asking a reasonable question sends this guy into a belligerent tirade. He said they don't negotiate, talked about liability insurance, told me to call someone else, then said he "hated people like this" to the person with him before hanging up on me. ...If this is how Apartment Mover Co. treats potential customers, I can only imagine their service if hired. read more

I have read the reviews, and it seems like the bad reviews are mostly about the man's personality. I HIRED this Company to Move me, (and NOT to be my friend for life). His Price was EXCELLENT, his Quickness on moving items is EXCELLENT, the move was EXCELLENT. It is sad that people want to rate this man's personality and not his Company. Yes, he was a little late (30 min), BUT his explanation was reasonable. The Move BEFORE me went over time because the People he moved misrepresented on how much he had to move. His schedule for the entire day will be late... I would be frustrated to. If you listen to him, (yes he is loud) he explained how MY extra boxes are now going to make him even later. He also charged me extra for those boxes.....but that was reasonable. His personality is not perfect, but his moving skills are FANTASTIC. read more
