DO NOT USE KRUPP MOVING. Using this company was the worst financial decision we have ever made. First off, they no-showed on our moving day after calling the night before to confirm everything. They then showed up 2 hours late to the rescheduled moving date the next day, which was our last day of possession. During the move broke my nicest TV, gashed our Kitchen table, and marked up our nice living room furniture, all while putting 2 holes in our walls in the new house. They then sent a claims person to the house to assess damage, and after being told we would get the TV and table replaced and the couches professionally cleaned, they came up with a claim of $168 along with an NDA. The workers were smoking weed on the job around our newborn and they used profane language the entire day around my wife. They only brought one dolly, and "forgot" their packaging tape and toolbox, so they used my tools and tape for our move, but still charged us for the extra hours needed to make the move. Probably 50% of the boxes were in the wrong location in the house, with a stack of 6 upstairs master bedroom and master closet boxes in the basement. Our patio furniture was scattered in the grass in the back yard, and several boxes labelled "fragile" with arrows pointing to the top of the box were upside down or laying on their side. The company is standing firm on their $168 claim offer and invited me to write all the reviews I want and to share my experience. Stay away from this company, they are an absolute nightmare. read more

This company made my parents move the worst day of their life! They showed up late. They only packed one of the two trucks, and then said they were leaving. We had to beg them to fulfill their contract and load two trucks as we had agreed-upon in the contract. Mind you my parents are in their 80s. Had we not been there as their children the company would have just left half the house in the house. We brought them lunch and half of the crew was smoking pot at the truck. Upon arrival, many things were broken And they had no idea which parts of the bed went together. My family had to help them put furniture back together. We paid a lot of money and this was the worst experience in moving I have ever seen in my entire 60 years of life. Please save yourself the heartache and do not use this company! We have tried for weeks to contact the owner regarding our experience and he has not returned a single phone call from either my parents or my four other siblings. It's advertise as a family owned company but if it truly was, I would think the owner at some point would have called us back. read more

Copy of email sent to Krupp (no response): I am sending this email prior to giving your company an unsatisfactory online rating regarding a recent job your company completed in Hudson. I am taking the time to write you because I feel that it is important for companies to get feedback, both positive and negative, from customers to help them improve their overall performance. Having said that, my wife and I recently hired your company to load a 16-foot PODS container in preparation for a cross-country move. The three workers were prompt and very nice, but as we later found out, they clearly are lacking in their knowledge and ability to properly load items to ensure they are secure and protected to limit en route damage. Your crew carefully moved items out of the house and loaded the PODS container. We appreciated their hard work and everything seemed to be going well. As such, I did not feel that I needed to watch-over everything that they were doing. After two and one-half hours, they advised that they were finished. The final paperwork was completed and they left. It was only then that my wife and I looked inside the container and realized that the actual loading was totally unacceptable. Here are some of the things we noted: Although they asked several times which items were going to be loaded into the PODS container and which items were going to stay in the house, a coffee table and large TV stand were left inside the house. As a result, we had to load the items ourselves. When loading a large flat screen TV, they unplugged it, but left the plug on the floor with other items that were not going to be loaded. Fortunately, we later found the plug, realized that it actually went to the TV, and placed it into the container. A wooden bed frame was taken apart by your crew and the pieces were loaded into the PODS container. After your crew left, we found that numerous metal pins used to hold the pieces together were left in the wood. The pins could easily have damaged other furniture items, not to mention the fact that if the pins themselves were damaged, it might prevent bed frame reassembly. We subsequently removed the pins, which were simply unscrewed by hand. We noted that several boxes had been stacked toward the top of the container, but were not secured. They were only being held in place by gravity and friction, which could easily have allowed them to fall when the container was moved, potentially damaging other items. We ultimately rearranged the boxes to lessen the chances of their movement. Wooden bed frame items were stacked on top of bookshelves, but were unsecured. Again, any movement of the container would probably have resulted in their falling. Finally, and probably the most distressing thing we noted was the fact that several wood items were not properly protected. We provided over 30 moving blankets to ensure that there would be minimal damage. Unfortunately, your crew did not use all the blankets and, more importantly, finished wood was left exposed to possible damage by friction and shifting items, even though there were additional blankets available. Once we found that the container was poorly loaded, my wife and I spent the next 2 hours rearranging boxes and properly wrapping wood items with moving blankets to help protect them from damage. As a result, we were very dissatisfied with the quality of work, given the amount of money that was paid to your company. The total amount that we paid was $1159 for 2.5 hours of work. That works out to be $463/hour or $154/hour/person. Although I think that your company clearly overcharges (ex. charging for a truck that was only used to bring the crew to the house), I agreed to the estimate due to our short timeframe. Given the high cost, I expected that your company would at least provide workers that had experience in properly loading household items to help protect them while in transit. Clearly that was not the case. Bottomline... We paid top dollar for inferior work, which had to be re-done. I rarely invest the time necessary to explain a situation such as this, however, I felt that your company should clearly understand my level of dissatisfaction in hopes of providing a better product for your future customers. read more

Corey and Chauncy were both professional and efficient making sure that each item was carefully moved and not damaged. Mike, Cody and Garrison were AMAZING! They aren't the cheapest, but they are friendly, professional and treated our VERY HEAVY belongings as if they were their own! Unfortunately, we did have two dings on our bench and dresser, but they addressed it immediately. The overall service was amazing! I wouldn't hesitate to book with Krupp again for our next move. We just used this company for a recent move and would definitely recommend them. They were very professional including arriving when they said they would and taking great care of all our furniture during the move process. The only reason for the 4 vs 5 stars is the price ended up being more then quoted even though we use them 1 hour less then the quote was for. Quoted us at approx 1000 for 7 hours and was about 1100 for 6 hours. Not a huge price difference but didn't like that discrepancy read more

We called several other movers to get the very heavy remnants of an old upright piano out of our basement. Krupp movers were the only ones who took the job. I had to pay for two hours and three men for the piano to be gone. They arrived on time, were polite, and amazed us by removing a very heavy structure up the stairs and out the door in five minutes or less! Bill, Branden and Jacob were amazing. Had to move twice in about 30 days...sold old house quickly, and new one was still being built. Hence the double move. Tim and his team are great. They are very easy to work with, very efficient and all of our stuff was no worse for the wear! Every single part of moving is expensive and this part was no exception. However, Krupp was actually less than the other 5 quotes I got and my final bill each time was a little less than the original quote! My family and I had a great experience with Krupp. David and his crew did an awesome job on a challenging move. They handled packing, loading and unloading a 7K square foot house - we're now settled into our new home and didn't even find a scratch on anything...not even a broken dish! if I could leave no stars or negative stars I would. I hired a professional company to do all the packing and I am so glad I did. The truck loading was the first nightmare. There were eight or more people grabbing things, shouting at each other, and throwing things into trucks. I only saw a supervisor when they arrived and when asked to sign. I never did know his name. He looked just as scruffy and unprofessional as the rest of the crew. I was rushed into signing off and was not able to do a final inspection before the trucks left. The second nightmare was the unloading. As I was leaving town for the new home, I had a traffic accident that kept me from arriving at the new house for another day.. My son was able to open the house, but by then the movers were mad and lost whatever professionalism they might have possessed. Furniture and boxes were dumped wherever there was a spot. They paid absolutely no attention to labeling. I had power tools in my bedroom. They also left 14 boxes in a closet at the old house! The third nightmare was trying to unpack and sort out the mess. After a week of trying, I admitted defeat and had to hire another company to empty out the new house and replace furniture and boxes where they belonged. Their first comment on seeing the mess was that we needed to take pictures and call a lawyer. The remediation cost me more than the original move. Krupp's response has essentially been sorry, but not sorry. They saw a near 70 year old woman and took advantage of her. In all, this move cost me over $10,000 dollars. That is the final nightmare. read more
