This was a perfect destination wedding place. We picked it last year and worked with their event planner throughout the year. We rented the whole place and had a wonderful wedding last weekend. We wanted a relaxed setting for all of our guests and it was perfect. We had guests of almost 70 people with no issues and every employee was helpful and friendly. The cabins were clean but need a little bit of maintenance. I guess I could have taken a 1/2 star away for this but it didn't impact the enjoyment. It was great to have the separated cabins and a variety of cabins to pick from. The Snowberry Center was decorated beautifully and I could not have asked for a better place for a Glacier Park wedding setting. The Airport and Costco was just a few minutes away, so everything was easily accessible. I highly recommend and plan to return for anniversaries. read more

I REALLY wanted to give this place 5 stars because I absolutely loved it there. The bed was comfortable, it was very clean, and it had such a nice, quiet setting. However, they accidentally charged my credit card $4,298.84 instead of the $429.84 I was supposed to pay. It was an honest mistake (seemed to just type an extra number), and they are reversing it but waiting for the charge to reverse takes over a week. So I was charged the incorrect amount and then the correct amount, and am still waiting for the credit (only been a few days now). This could have really disrupted our vacation while waiting for that to be fixed. Again, honest mistake but that's a big one. If it wasn't for that, I would rate it 5 stars. read more

This place is picture perfect! Beds were comfy, they let you use bear spray for free. The space and features of the cabin were perfect. Our dog has aging eyes, I asked for a night light which they gladly handed over for her use. Hot water was plentiful. You could hear cars yet not bad at all. Easy access to Glacier too!!! Stayed here again and the cabin I got was NOT nearly as nice as the first one I stayed in, despite the very casual dismissal by the front desk girl who assured me that "they're all the same." It smelled of dog and heavy cleaning products. Onsite owner guy gave me the creeps. Next time I'm just going to stay in Whitefish. read more

The best travel decision I made! After just two nights at North Forty, I felt like it's one of those special places I can go back to again and again and call home in Montana. The cabins are absolutely adorable, clean, the bedding is so nice, and the complimentary coffee provided in the room is stellar! I was visiting the area for work, and it was the perfect jumping off point to explore Kalispell, whitefish, and glacier National Park. I'll definitely be coming back. A friend and I stayed on the night of Jul7 7, 2021. Although the settings and our cabin 15A were quite nice, we were most disappointed: 1. The queen bed and a huge "crater" in the sagging mattress. I called the front desk for another cabin which was not available, and was given a 10% discount. Still, sleep was nearly impossible. 2. The coffee maker was broken. 3. There was no back-up roll of toilet paper for a 2-BR unit (!). 4. When I notified front desk, no one offered to bring the above items to our unit. We had to get them. In contrast the previous motel, Circle-R had a very gracious host William made sure we were comfortable in East Glacier. and cost about 40% as much. Carla Bowman read more

Had a wonderful stay at North Forty! The cabin was nicely appointed and comfortable! I thought the price per night for the value was very reasonable. Went for walks around the trails behind our cabin and seen 3x whitetail deer, plenty of birds and all arou d just beautiful nature. The spa is nice, however the hot tub could stand to be turned up a couple degrees. It's a warm bath at best. Would definitely recommend a stop here to recharge those batteries! Thanks! read more

We rented a cabin at North Forty sight-unseen and luckily enjoy it immensely. Though it's tiny in a cozy way our little cabin boasts two full bathrooms - a necessity when most of your vacation consists of outdoor activities - and three queen beds. We have all the amenities we need and quite a bit of privacy even though the other cabins are closer than we expected from the website's pictures. Of course, it isn't perfect - the fireplace is electric and the internet is occasionally spotty. On the other hand, though, the fireplace gives off more than enough heat and the internet is free and wireless. All the furniture is soft and comfortable - including the large queen beds - and despite our close neighbors it is so quiet and dark at night that you feel as if you're in the middle of nowhere. North Forty also sits remarkably close to both the airport and Whitefish, and in every encounter with the staff we've found friendly locals who go out of their way to make sure our stay is everything we hoped for. Several of the cabins are even pet-friendly and a 1.5 mile trail winds behind the buildings for runners' daily fixes. In short, I've never found a more satisfyingly vacation-facilitating resort and I would recommend a visit to Montana just to experience North Forty. read more

The place was very clean which was nice. We asked for two side by side cabins which they said we could have. We even called beforehand to confirm but unfortunately ended up with cabins far apart. Also, be aware they are described as 2-bedroom but the second bed is actually in the living / dining area. No privacy. There are two bathrooms however. read more

We stayed at the North Forty Cabins for three nights, and will be going back for a week next time. The property is hidden away from the highway and consists of wonderful, modern log cabins with all the amenities. We first thought we would be bringing our dog, and picked the place because they are very pet friendly. We didn't, but the cabin we were in didn't have any hint that it was a dog friendly space. We had a separate bedroom and nice bath with good water pressure. A kitchen with a full size refrigerator, stove top and microwave made it easy to prep our own meals and brew a pot of coffee every morning. The laundry and hot tub building was immaculate. Every thing on the property is well maintained and the grounds are very pretty. When we checked in, the clerk alerted us that a sow bear and two cubs were seen a few days prior and reminded to keep food out of our truck and keep our eyes open. I found some fresh scat right in front of the cabin, so we carried our bear spray when we were outside. But hey, it's Montana in the fall, so bears are part of the landscape. There is a really nice mile or so walking trail that leaves the property and tracks through a stand of trees north of the resort. I thought the housekeepers were outstanding, the front desk staff so helpful (thanks Heidi) and the location perfect to get to Whitefish, Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park. read more

If you are looking for a place to stay in the Kalispell/Columbia Falls/Whitefish area, I highly recommend the North Forty Resort. The entire staff was amazingly friendly and welcoming. We stayed in one of their one bedroom log cabins and completely enjoyed the experience. The cabin had a full eat-in kitchen, comfortable living area with a gas fireplace/stove, couch and rocker, sparkling clean bathroom, and large bedroom are with two beds. The beds were extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows and a down comforter. The ambiance is definitely log cabin but it had all the creature comforts of home, including two smart TVs, DVD player, plenty of cable channels from which to choose, and very fast WiFi for internet access. The resort also has two hot tubs, a sauna and laundry facilities. We also took advantage of the on-premise hiking trail. You will be very pleased with your experience here. read more

Not even close to being worth the price. Also the website says the location is at the junction of highway 40 and 93 with no other information on where it is and no actual address. It is in fact 2.5 miles toward Columbia Falls on highway 40. The woman at the front desk was also less than congenial. There are a lot of other great choices for lodging in Whitefish. I have stayed at the North Forty several times over the past 10 years. It has always been a great experience any time of the year. Having your own cabin is really nice and quiet. Cabins are very clean, modern, and well kept. Staff is very friendly but not over bearing. We stayed here and the place was nice really. We were on a 22 road trip and this was day 15 or 16. All was well until I got a voicemail that we were charged a 250.00 cleaning fee for smoking in their room. I got up at 3 am (still on eastern time) and had a cigarette on the front porch. The light was out or no bulb so I didn't see a ashtray and took it in with me and threw it in the trashcan in the bathroom. I know that my wife nor I smoked in their cabin. After emailing and calling it took over a week for the owner to respond which she said "my concious is clear." As of today the charge still stands and I'm ok with that because "my concious is clear" as well. Cheers! read more

This place is an ABSOLUTE GEM!!!!! Stayed here recently with our pup and had an amazing time. The cabins are set off from the road allowing for less traffic noise and all cabins are set far enough apart that you really feel like your cabin is your own. NO STARS. I went to the North Forty to rent a sleep six cabin for some out of town guest that I have coming for the upcoming WHS graduation. I had asked the front desk woman, I think her name was Heidi, if we could BBQ the night before with our guest, on the BBQ grill and use the picnic table that comes with it. She said no. Really? She then offered to call the "new owner" to see if it was okay with him. We did not ask her to do this, she offered. After she got off of the phone with him, she came back out of her office and said, "He doesn't want your business." We questioned why, she responded, "He doesn't want a party back there." OK, no need to BBQ, but we still need lodging for our guest. "Nope, he doesn't want your business at all." We had cash in our pockets ready to rent the sleep six cabin for two nights, turned away because it appears that the "new owner" doesn't like it if people eat outside or cash. The North Forty is a horrible place that treats locals like crap on a shoe. I do not recommend it if you like decent people. Thank you for showing your colors before we gave you our money. I would hate to subject my out of state guest to your rudeness and disregard for business. I had to pick at least one star to get the option to post here, but that's wrong. ZERO STARS read more
