I got 3 stone chips in my windshield yesterday while driving in Reno. I stopped by Safelight to get a repair estimate and was told $250.00 I then stopped by Great Price for an estimate and after looking at my car, the folks there gave me an estimate in writing for a total of $80.00, which I accepted and made an appointment to get the work done. When I got there this morning to get the chips repaired, the guy who met me told me the repair would be $240.00. I showed him the written estimate of $80.00 total, and he said that it was per chip, 3 chips would be $240.00. The estimate was written after they examined the car, saw all 3 chips, and knew exactly what work was needed. The written estimate was shown as a total price, not a per chip price. The lady who made the estimate and appointment never mentioned her quote was a per chip, and nowhere on the estimate does it say anything about a per chip price. I feel like the guy at Great Price was trying to cheat me. read more

Had a problem with excessive wind noise after having my windshield replaced. It was either the gasket bonded to the glass by the mfg. being misplaced or the windshield being install slightly off center. Took a bit of discussion but I the end they reset the windshield which corrected the problem. I was shown the materials and techniques used. Once the tech and I were on the same page about what needed to be done the job was completed promptly and efficiently. Will definitely use their services again when needed. My windshield cracked and with the winter weather, it just added to the damage and made it bigger and bigger to the point of needing a full windshield replacement. Ronnie at Great Price Auto Glass was friendly and helpful when I called in to ask about a replacement, plus they beat all the competitors prices. George at the front desk was knowledgeable and gave helpful information when I arrived and asked if and how insurance could be billed. It's a repair shop next to a pick and pull so the cleanliness reflects that. I had to wait an hour and half for my replacement to be completed but there is a bench and TV on for patrons while you sit and wait. If you're a clean freak you may want to get a ride and pick up your car upon completion. After all the places I called and price comparisons I made, I would definitely use them again if I'm ever in the same predicament. Friendly until you point out their mistakes then they shut down on you completely because "you're not the policyholder" yet I was able to set up the appointment, sign paperwork, drop it off and pick it up and it only became a problem BECAUSE I pointed out again THEIR mistake. Was told it would be an OEM replacement after telling them that's the only thing I'd purchase is if it has the manufacturer logo/ badges. They decided to use an OEM "standards" replacement from a third party which I not what I asked for nor wanted. Looks great just not what I wanted. Would not recommend due to the rudeness again after calling them out. read more

This past Wednesday 3.6.2024 I went into my appointment at 2pm. I was told my car would only take 1 1/2 hours. As I sat there for 2 1/2 hours I started to get frustrated. As I heard small talk behind the counter, someone mentioned that an employee had to leave work and they were behind. Now the way I think is if they sent an employee home they could have called after the fact and let people know they were going to be behind schedule and ask if I would be okay with it just in case I had other things I needed to get done or to reschedule. Now I am a mom of 2 kiddos and thank goodness their dad and I are together because I was there for quite some time. All in all Bobby who works the front with the customers kept my friend and I occupied with his silliness the whole time and was very kind. TJ who replaced my windshield was busting his ass and doing such a great job on multiple cars that being able to see and watch how hard he was working made me realize there are people in this world who really give a shit about their jobs. Who pull the weight no matter what and he seems to actually love what he does. I had to go back today because my lines to my fluid for my windshield needed to be attached but the thing is, I honestly wasn't upset with the fact that I had to drive back to moundhouse because when I showed up today he was there, he shows up to work and he should really be noticed. Waste of time, highly would not recommend coming here. I reached out to receive a quote to replace my quarter panel and Ronnie reached out via email to give me a quote, a very reasonable $230 to get a quarter panel window replaced. I proceeded to book the appt, for 10am on a monday, he said it would take about an hour and a half. I arrived to the appt early and waited an hour and a half to be told the glass was not there and that they could get the glass but it would be later this afternoon. And also it would be used glass, they said the quote was for used glass (which it wasnt, I checked the emails and nothing specified it being used glass) and they said if I wanted new glass it would cost more than the original quote and it was also not in stock. I talked to Ron on three occasions to get set up with an aftermarket warranty that I purchased when I bought my new truck. The insurance company was giving me conflicting information during the Ten times I called them. After a couple of calls by Ron to them, he set up a three way conversation with myself the Warranty Company, and him, to once and for all get this claim sorted out. As busy as he was, Ron remained patiently on the line, through a couple of long holds, and finally got the problem resolved. When we were finished, he scheduled me for the next day to replace my windshield. I was at the shop the next morning and greeted by a very pleasant young lady, who immediately called an installer to get on my truck. The young installer was also very courteous, and said he would be finished with my windshield replacement in one hour. True to his word, my truck was done in an hour. My windshield got cracked by a rock as I was driving. So I contacted this company as I have used them in the past. I called gave them my car info and they ordered a windshield and was given a price for it $400. So I show up for the appt and come to find out it was the wrong one. No problem I get things can happen. So they ordered supposedly the right one. I'm now going in for the 2nd time. And they now say the glass doubled and was now $853. So I file a claim with my insurance. I speak to the owner numerous times and is also in contact with my insurance adjuster. I speak to the owner on Monday 4/24/23 he says my out of pocket would be $300 and some change. He then makes an appt for me for 4/26. I get there and the computer doesn't show I have an appt. And now the glass price jumps up to $955. And they sent my windshield back and now it has to be reorderd. The moral to this is I've delt with this for 3 weeks, been there 5 times and I still have no windshield.. VERY BAD SERVICE!!! If they didn't already have the check from my insurance company I wouldn't be doing g business with them. read more

Don't bother going to this place if you want quality work done on your vehicle. I ended up needing to replace the glass they installed. It was the wrong glass and they installed it crooked. When I brought my vehicle back to have it re done, they insisted the work was done correctly. Not worth saving a small amount of money. I would rate less than one star if it was possible. read more

I had a very small chip and took it to Great Price Auto Glass within days of it happening. The chip was slightly larger than a pencil tip. Within a week after the repair there were runners coming from it. They offered to take the price of the repair off a new windshield. I don't need a new windshield just the chip fixed.
