I had a fever...and the only prescription was: GQ Fish! Wow. Consider my mind blown by the selection of aquatic pets at this place. I was in need of filling the pond I built during this past monsoon season in my backyard so I tried many of the usual stops around town. But I always worry about the care the fish receive before I take them into my home (or backyard, in this case). I trained dolphins and seahorses as an intern during my undergrad days before working at a hatchery for five years in Southern California, and the fish at this store are receiving top-notch care. Trust me. The staff is incredible and truly cares about providing the perfect match with a pet owner. The person that assisted me during my visit was a gentleman named Alex, who showed me the vast selection of pond fish available. My backyard renovation is now complete and I feel a frisson each time I stroll out to check on the slippery fellas each morning with a cup of coffee in my hands. This spring I hope to build an aquarium in my dining room and my first stop will be GQ Fish to stock up on accessories and of course meet the newest members of my family. First, I would like to say the selection of fish at this store is absolutely uncountable. I am from Asia and have a large fishing background and I will say not even the ocean has many types of fish as GQ fish. My 12 year old son Elijah was pleading for a Candy Basslet (one of the five most endangered fishes), I had no idea too. But I called every store in Arizona, since happiness for my son is my number one priority, and it was only GQ Fish that had it. I went to the store and met the owner Nate who had the Candy Basslet ready in a fish bowl and gave it to us at a discount price since I was Asian. My son is so happy now and finally keeps to himself and doesn't bother me. Because of GQ Fish, I am able to get work done while my son is extremely happy. read more

GQ Fish is far superior to any other fish store in town. Previous experiences with other stores and their home services I would consider mediocre at best. The store is clean and well kept, and as an animal lover, I have a reassured piece of mind buying my fish from such a well maintained store. GQ is the cleanest fish store that I have ever been in in Tucson. It has knowledgeable and friendly staff that are always willing to help me and their fish always look very healthy and happy. Everything I have purchased has done extremely well in my 55 gallon set up and I am excited to upgrade to a 120 with Nate's help. There is also a vast selection of coral carrying everything from softies to SPS if you have a reef tank also. This is the only store I go to for my salt water needs on the east side and I recommend it to beginners and experts alike. read more
