I have always been a fan ever since they opened their first location in Ravenna/U-District. I also order frequently from their downtown location. I give this location 2 stars. The service was horrendous! First person I ordered from couldn't be bothered to give me any drink she just strolled into the back area. I had to go back to the counter to ask for my drink. Then we had items missing from our to go order. I had to wait in line again to get anyone's attention to have them help me. I think they had opened the week prior, but it felt like no one knew what was going on. So when I went back to the counter no one could help me and they looked to one person to direct them. I honestly spent more time waiting for my order here than I have spent eating a full meal at Kizuki around the corner. The food is still solid, but with the service and slowness I am taking off stars because there are much better options around the mall. read more

The staff were friendly and helped answer all my allergen questions. I was provided an ingredient/allergen menu. I'm dairy/soy free. It's difficult to find a place to eat that doesn't use dairy, soy (especially soybean oil). The burger bun is dairy and soy free and the fries are cooked in rice oil. I ordered a double burger and fries. Came out to $13.5. Kind of expensive for some "fast food" burger and fries. But it was pretty good. I'd say a 8/10. Their meat patties are a good size. I'd probably get a single patty burger next time. Burger had fresh veggies, soft bun, and juicy patty. The fries have a unique taste to them, they have a thin crispy layer on the outside, and they're soft on the inside. The best fries I've had in a long time. I'm going to subtract one star for price and location. $13.5 with no drink. Drove here to get a breakfast sandwich and was extremely confused and angry when the person at the counter told me they only serve breakfast until 11AM however they don't open until 11AM. So basically they don't serve breakfast sandwiches on the weekend. When I went to the SLU location they served them from 11AM - 3PM on the weekends so I'm assuming they just didn't want to serve me a breakfast sandwich since it was an inconvenience to them. I only ordered one regular cheeseburger from this place. It was just average in my opinion. The beef patty tasted fine. My issue was the entire bun seemed kind of 'floppy and soft' for lack of a better description. The taste was fine, but the soft texture was lacking for my preference. The burger was tasty (3.5 stars), the fries were crispy (4 stars), and the steak sauce was a nice option to put on my burger and fries. Great burger place but quite pricy. The service is great; employees were very nice and helpful, even letting us try some of their drinks since we were indecisive. Food wise, the burger and fries were better than McDonald's burger which is saying a lot because you can't ever go wrong with fast food. I've eaten here twice with mixed reviews. The first time, the shakes had a weird flavor - both of my children threw them out. The burgers and fries were fine. The second time, they overcharged us ($36 for 3 burgers and a side of fries) to which then needed a manager to credit. They only then made half the order. Fast forward to the rest of the order then being made incorrectly. The girl behind the counter was beyond snotty. Not a great experience and the cost doesn't justify the food. So many new food stops opening up in Bellevue Square! Great State Burger is a good addition to the Bellevue Square food court. Just a classic burger and fries. The single patty was good size for me and I came with an empty stomach. Nothing extraordinary but still a good burger. I have nothing negative to say for food quality. However, they server accidentally gave me and extra burger and when I said I only ordered one, he just threw it in the trash. It shocked me that he couldn't find something else to do with it...but if that's just protocol, I guess it's fine. Overall, good place to stop by if your hungry and want something quick. read more

After a long wait for them to open, what a disappointment. Let's start with the positives. The fries were great. Crispy and not greasy. Toasted bun was yummy. That's it for positives. Our food was cold. The burger was cold and dry. It's super expensive for what you get (I know this is Bellevue but $30 for 2 dry cold burgers, two child sized sodas and two orders of fries is still silly). The shake machine wasn't working which is probably for the best as a 16 oz shake is $6.50. The soda was Jones which is good but a small child sized serving not even full. The burger we ordered was cold like it was sitting out for an extended period. Contacted HQ about our visit and they provded us with a gift card for a future visit. This is a quality quick serve restaurant. Reminds me of in and out or lunchbox. The hamburger and crinkly fries were fresh and well proportioned. The large shake was decent a little better than McDonald's but the large size would be the equivalent of a small at most places. Veggie burger's patty was OILY! We ordered 3 veggie burgers and all three patties had oil dripping from them.

Sadly with two staff working and only two customers to serve I was asked to yell my order to the cook since it would have been a bother for the other staff person to walk to the counter. When the order was received it was incorrect. I explained what needed correcting and then again it was incorrect. Counter employee indicated this was my fault at which point I informed them that this would be my last visit to their restaurant. RIP!! read more
