Great little strip mall gem! The portions are huge and very affordable, and you can make any entree a combo (fried rice, spring roll, and cream cheese wonton) for an extra $4.95. It's extremely quiet inside with bright white lighting so it's not much on ambiance but the food is fantastic and the service is great as well. If you're staying at the Best Western, this is just a quick jaunt across the street to the neighboring parking lot. Good food is a little sparse around here, so this place was a great find! Conveniently located for those that are headed home from the Renaissance Festival too. I highly recommend the Kung pao chicken, chicken lo mein, and the salt and pepper chicken. Popped in here after the ren fair. It was very clean and the service was very friendly. I ordered the Mongolian delight and my friend ordered the Kung Pao delight. Our 2nd time in and I was still happy with everything. The portions are enough to share or to take home, and we did notice a lot of carry outs versus dine in's. My husband got the Moo shu pork, very tasty lots of pork and although they were not crepes they weren't think flour tortillas ether, Hubby was happy. I got the combo fried rice, it was good, lots of shrimp too, it could have used a bit more "fried" like maybe soy? I was happy with my choice as well. Try the egg rolls, they rock. Located in Gold Canyon which is a small town outside of Phoenix. If you been to the Renaissance festival you'd probably passed here before. Few times I passed by was either late night early mornings and as of late was closed on the day. Well finally got to swing by since I had to get something nearby. It is a Chinese restaurant with Chinese staff but food is very Americanized. Got the Kung pao two which is chicken and shrimp, lunch special. Included soup of choice and egg roll. I got hot sour soup, lacking a few ingredients to me and very black peppery. Egg roll was just a plain vegetable spring roll. Entree was a good amount of food. Fried rice very plain just seems like egg and soy sauce for color. Kung pao was good had flavor not too spicy. Chicken was ok and had maybe 3 or 4 pieces of shrimp. Lots of zucchini and a few celery. Overall was ok for the price point. Not 100% real Chinese style cooking but for what you get can't complain, plus most won't know. read more

Probably the best chicken chop suey I have eaten. Great tasting chicken with bean spouts, mushrooms, water chestnuts, pea pods, onions, carrots, broccoli, and celery. Great sauce. Visited the restaurant 10/27/24, I ordered Beef and Broccoli, wife ordered vegetable Lo Mein. My beef was rotten, rancid, I told the waitress (owner) she took it back removed the beef and added chicken. Not much better vegetables were raw not much flavor. Wifes food also vegetables were raw noodles and the sauce not tasting very good. Also had order of egg rolls way over cooked hard dried out......Check that restaurant off the list. Did a long hike in the superstitions and called an order in from the pictures I viewed on their website that looked good and had some spice to it, black pepper chicken, well, when I got there to pick it up the lady acted like she was doing me a favor waiting on me and furrowing her brow when I asked maybe one question about the credit card if they charged a fee and when I got it home all the vegetables in there which was just bell pepper, carrot and onion we're so finely chopped I could hardly find them in there, I won't go back there ever again. We have given the Great Wall a try twice. Both times were subpar. The cashew chicken had little chicken, the Happy Family had 2 shrimp and little meat. Not tasty. Service was poor and unfriendly. This place served me disgusting chicken fried rice on 1/31/24!! If I hadn't ordered it to go I would've sent it back!! Just enough veggies that you couldn't say there weren't any. The grease-laden egg roll had a little bit of cabbage (or whatever it was) in the very center--I cut it open to see since it wasn't edible. The woman who took my order at the register had a sour, unpleasant attitude, and she acted like she didn't understand me when I asked if the AC was broken hahaa--it was a beautiful day but the place was sweltering inside! I was visiting the area and drove by the 60 when I was felt homesick and missed eating Chinese food. I stumble upon this place and decided to give it a try to satisfy my craving. Now, Arizona isn't known to have the best Chinese food around but surprisingly this place had some pretty authentic Chinese food comparable to California. I ordered the potstickers and asked for it to be fried extra crispy. They were so good that I got 3 more orders! Something at this restaurant location has recently changed. We think one of the cooks or kitchen staff are ruining the reputation of this restaurant. It appears they use the same basic rice and just throw hunks of the protien, chicken, beef, or shrimp on top and call it a dish. It's lazy, cheap way of preparing traditional menu items.
