Terrible, I've lived in Groveport for 30 years. The Great Wall has had several changes in ownership and staff , each time the food gets worse. I ordered shrimp toast it was burnt to a crisp, the General Toes was like a mound of orange like jello paste. All breading no flavor at all. The fried rice was a mound of yellow something. 19 dollars i threw in the trash. Oh almost forgot the egg roll was hard as a rock and terribly dry. I've learned my lesson this time I'm never going back there.. I took pics wish i could show you. read more

SO GOOD! My favorite stir fry veggies (bell pepper, lots of broccoli, carrots, cabbage, snow peas, onion, water chestnuts), so fresh, and chicken, huge portions! I tried Panda Express and was so disappointed-no flavor, hardly any veggies. Recommend order online (no dine in.) read more

Very typical of the majority of Chinese restaurants. Identical decor and menu. Food was what I expected not bad, very standard for Chinese food. I ordered the spicy triple and a small pork lo mein, vegetables could have been cooked a bit more but over all it was delicious. read more

I think this place is the victim of the McDonaldization of Chinese food. It's quick, it's filling but not particularly good food or good for you. If that's what you want, it's your stomach. This little Chinese restaurant on the outskirts of Groveport in the Kroger Center is your typical basic, Chinese place you find in almost every strip mall these days. It's got your typical decor, set up, chairs etc. If you closed your eyes and tried to guess which one you were in, you'd never guess, they've all succumbed to that bland sameness we've gotten so accustomed to. That being said, I got the Chicken Lo Mein and it was OK. Yeah, just OK as there wasn't much chicken or anything else besides noodles with some rice on the side (starch with starch?). The Hot and Sour Soup was so so. Not too thick or hearty but it's flavor was good enough. It only cost $4.75 for the lunch size and the place was decently busy so someone likes their food. Me? I wasn't too impressed here but if you want to go...it's your stomach. read more

I'm not familiar with this area, so I was driving around looking for somewhere to eat. I saw this restaurant located in the strip mall, and decided to stop by. The female working at the desk is friendly. I ordered a 4.95 General Tso's chicken combo and an iced tea. I received fried rice, three pieces of brocolli, chicken, and egg drop soup. Initially I didn't like the egg drop soup, but out of everything, it was the best. I drank my tea and half the soup, but the rest of the meal wasn't very appetizing. Everything was hot and cooked...I just didn't enjoy the flavor. Or the massive amount of food coloring in the fried rice. I really hate giving bad reviews, but I have to...especially if I come in hungry, but then find I don't have an appetite for the food I ordered. read more

Just started working in this area, so I'm scouting nearby lunches. It's the same cookie cutter chinese fast food without a drivethru. Limited $5 lunch menu with rice and soup. I called in 6 lunches. All were correct, but no specific special needs were made, other than rice & soup choice. We all found the food abundant, but without flavor. It was bland, and without any feeling of "Yum". 4 condiment packet choices were available. Order a meal, keeping in mind that you will have the worst plastic cutlery. It's thin, malleable, and not individually wrapped for every non-hand washer to touch. The interior was clean enough. There were diners. Parking is in a shopping plaza. This is the kind of hole in the wall Chinese restaurant where you can walk in and say "I'll have my usual" and they'll know exactly what you want. They're always so friendly and accommodating. You can order online or over the phone and it'll be ready for quick pickup. The food isn't the best you'll ever have, but it's pretty good American Chinese food. I work nearby and come here around once a week for lunch. Can't beat the $5.50 lunch price! read more

We used to eat here all the time back in the days, but moved away for family reasons. Today my family and I were visiting the area and we decided to come back here again. The food was amazing and it really brought back a lot of nostalgia. We ordered a large house special fried rice, chicken lo mien and general tso chicken. The food came out quick and it was delicious. I've eaten Chinese food all over the world and all over the United States. Unfortunately this was one of my worst experiences ever at a Chinese restaurant. We started out with some hot and sour soup... Tasteless. We had some fried dumplings. They didn't seem fresh and there is a lot of fat in the meat inside the dumplings. We had Kung pow shrimp,Shrimp was all right, but most of the vegetables were chopped celery. Finally, We had General Tso chicken - pieces were so big you could barely handle them with chopsticks sauce was thick not the best I've ever had. If you go, I would avoid all these items. We have been patronizing this restaurant since they opened several years ago. It is a family owned and operated business; their children have been present since almost the day they were born. They are now old enough to help answer the phone, take orders, and clean up. This is a typical local neighborhood Chinese restaurant, but I have never been disappointed in their fare. They cook your order fresh before your eyes. My favorite is the chicken fried rice and General Tso Chicken. I like also like the Sweet & Sour Chicken and Sesame Chicken. As most Chinese restaurants, the portions are hearty and I always have leftovers for the next day. I much prefer this Chinese restaurant over the next closest one located in Canal Winchester. read more

We've been eating there for years but you've lost a couple of stars and lost our business. $63.55 for our food and the only thing really wrong was the shrimp fried rice was terrible, worst we've ever eaten, in fact. Here's my problem: customer service = non-existent... I called to tell you that everything was great, except the shrimp fried rice. Your response, drive a half an hour plus round trip to get "a food exchange." We're eating, it's late, can you put a credit on for the next order? No. Your manager said, "That's not how our food exchange works." Well, sorry, but we didn't drive a half an hour plus round trip to buy food at your restaurant, just to repeat the drive and burn up our gas and waste our time for your "food exchange," since your quality control is apparently non existent. You lose a star for food quality, a star for your lack of customer service, and another for your condescending attitude, since I "don't understand how this works." And this for the princely savings to your restaurant of a $7.50 large shrimp fried rice. Nice. Good luck with that. read more

I ordered the shrimp rolls and a small shrimp and broccoli told them no rice or lomein so they gave me more vegetables and then charged me for a large portion but didn't tell me finding out after I got back to my motel and when I went back a few hours later all they said was I'm sorry with no refund. That's unexceptable and the shrimp rolls were small and very greasy. Will never go back there!!! read more

I really wish this restaurant was better because it is conveniently located. I have had take out food from Great Wall and it wasn't so great. Their shrimp toast and egg rolls are very greasy. None of the other dishes I had here were any better. The last time I walked in and ordered, I had to wait about 25 minutes for my order and there was only one other customer it the restaurant. I try and patronize local family owned businesses, but Great Wall would have to improve their quality before I would return. read more

The food was terrible!!! Greasy, overcooked and/or undercooked! Cashews were very burnt, teriaki like jerky. Grease used to fry food needed changed some time ago. We clearly didn't eat and when we complained, owner offered only 15 percent discount! Nice customer service! Don't bother with this place!!! read more

This is one of the best places to get good Chinese food. Portions and prices are great. Staff is always friendly and calling ahead is great to get your order quickly. The Pad Thai and the Mai Fun are my favorite by far. And the best part is that they're open later than most places around. read more
