If you like restaurants constantly being out of items and having slow and disrespectful service, this Panda Express is for you! This location is the closest Panda Express to our house and we've probably been 10 times since it opened last year. Shame on us because no visit has ever been smooth, but today was the final straw. After endless struggles with the drive-in, we decided we might have better luck dining in. It took a few minutes to be helped, so we eyed the options that were ready in the case and the pickings we're slim. When the lady finally came up to help us, she started spooning chow mein into the container. I clarified that I wanted super greens and she barked at me that they were out - not that there was a wait, but that they were out. We decided then that we weren't interested and walked out. As we walked out, a manager chased after us to clarify that super greens would be ready in a few minutes. By that point, we were done and had accepted that our days of trying the Canal Panda Express were over. read more

Disappointed AGAIN. I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt for a bad day or a one-time issue. But, this is the SECOND time i n a month that we have visited this Panda Express, and they had NO white rice. How the heck does a Panda Express NOT have WHITE RICE. It is a staple that sets up the entrees. No problem with the employees doing their best to keep customers happy. Only one poor woman working her tail off running the line, the register, AND taking care of take-out orders. One man dedicated to online orders, and one woman dedicated to the drive thru. The folks were working HARD. They get a pass... However, management was NO WHERE to be seen. Management does NOT get a pass, especially for not having ANY white rice, and we were told not to expect any either. Soooo, how are you making the fried rice exactly?!?! This has got to be the worse Panda Express ever. I ordered Beef and Broccoli and a mushroom chicken bowls. They had me pull around because Broccoli was not ready. I waited another 15 to 20 minutes to get my order. After receiving my order there was a bowl of broccoli and three tiny strips of beef. The mushroom chicken was the same. I do pest control so I drive all over the Columbus area I normally love Panda Express. I actually have traveled to several states with this company and have had many Panda Express meals across the country. This experience was the worst. I get to the drive thru they are out of the advertised chicken I believe it is pecan chicken they said they no longer sell it. Why is it on the menu on your drive thru? Then I asked for another chicken, again out of it. Asked for the walnut shrimp it's not ready and will be a wait. Finally I settled on the orange chicken and beef. I get it and I'm not sure what's going on but after I eat to be fair it didn't taste that bad not great but on par for fast food I threw up a few hours later the food had made me sick. Several issues I had here. This was my first time coming here and it will be my last. I'll list my issues below 1. Was over charged by $2.50 when I checked out as they charged me for getting beyond orange chicken when I got regular orange chicken 2. I'm rating 2 stars because I had a weird, unfriendly experience. I stop in about once/month or less for quick teriyaki chicken. (Other dishes always make me sick, but I enjoy this one dish once in a while.) The weird experience was when I checked my bag which didn't include the teriyaki packet so I asked for it. The girl at the window didn't seem to know what I was talking about and got another young girl to talk to me. I said I had the teriyaki chicken but it didn't include the packets. Her response was, why do you want that? I said, Because it's teriyaki chicken. Her response was, Well we don't normally give it out, you have to ask for it. Tonight 9/21, we decided to go to Panda Express Canal Winchester. Normally I am satisfied with the place, but tonight I was highly disappointed. The portions were terribly scarce, and the prices went up. Ridiculous. It is a shame how the quality is leaving. Our entrees barely filled the little cubby it was in. Although we love Panda Exress food, unfortunately we can no longer support this location, only a mile from our house, with our money. This location just opened in November. Despite several visits getting hard chow mein, small portions, and them being out of their main menu items like rice and chicken, and them not including a whole meal in our bag, yesterday was the final straw. We stopped and got a 2 plate entree, chow mei with orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp and a bowl with orange chicken with chow mein and an egg roll. Total bill was $17.05 Brought the food home and the orange chicken in the 2-plate entree had an inedible piece of breaded "meat" about 3 inches long, hard and darker than regular chicken. I WISH I had taken a picture. Anyway, my daughter ate one piece of shrimp, one piece of chicken and some of her noodles. She couldn't bring herself to eat the rest of the orange chicken and was just going to move on to her egg roll. Until she opened the bag and it was dark brown, way ovetcooked. So I decided we needed to back and just get a refund. I was tired fof the poor food quality. This wasn't the worst part. I get to the restaurant and I had to explain to 3 people why I came back before the manager came out. The second person offered to remake it, I said no, I don't want anymore food from there. I just wanted a refund for the 2 plate entree and the egg roll. Instead of just procesding the return, the rude manager proceeded to say it's orange chicken, so it "sticks together". I told him, this is not the first time I've had orange chicken from Panda Express, I know what it's supposed to look like. It is the first time I had to return a meal. Then he said the meal was "half eaten", which was certainly not the case, maybe just the noodles. I'm not sure why you wouldn't just apologize and process the return instead of justifying bad product. On top of all that, it took him nearly 10 minutes to fill out a FORM for a partial return. So this location is off my list of options for continuous problems with orders and rude management. If you're in the East Columbus area check out Whitehall or Reynoldsburg locations. Last week we went to the Panda Express in Canal Winchester. Upon entering the restaurant there was the pungent odor of sewer gas. If that wasn't bad enough, we ordered anyway because it was getting late and we wanted dinner. The food was absolutely DISGUSTING! We ordered the orange chicken dish which consisted of some form of frozen chicken nugget balls. The shrimp dish was no better and consisted of frozen shrimp and slimy noodles. We hated both meals. Afterwards, we had gas, bloating and diarrhea. We promise to never step foot into this restaurant ever again! We only gave one star because that is the lowest score available. read more

Do not, I repeat do not buy food from this place! Way too much rice, way too little entree. I don't know what they call this meal, but it was not remotely what is expected for Asian food. It contained what I assume was zucchini, some mushrooms, and a few tiny pieces of maybe chicken. All of it overcooked and limp. I'm really upset i have to give this place any stars at all. The service and the food were both terrible and i went inside the restaurant to order my food. I ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl with fried rice a plate with beef and broccoli and black pepper chicken with half fried rice and chow mein. I had to wait forever for the teriyaki chicken and beef and broccoli. I understood it had to be cooked but they literally forgot about making my order once it was done. I had to ask a few times until finally the packaged my order up and rang me out. The fried rice and chow mein were DRY. I barely got any beef with my beef and broccoli, maybe 3-4 slices of beef if that. It was full of broccoli and no type of sauce. The black pepper chicken was really good of what I was able to taste. They use an assortment of veggies as a filler with barely any chicken. I'm Utterly disappointed with my dinner tonight. I will never come back to this location ever. So to everyone, please beware because you will probably have the same horrible quality as i did and some of the other reviewers did. read more
