Very disappointed! Ordered General Tso's, pork lo mein and Szechuan beef. The lo mein was the only thing edible! Tso's was definitely left over from yesterday! Tiny hard pellets - you couldn't even tell it was chicken! Pellets!! Rice tasted old and dry. The beef was grizzle! No flavor whatsoever. Threw Tso's and beef away - couldn't eat either. Used to love Great Wall! I don't mind that you raised your prices but I won't be back because due to the poor food quality! :( read more

I take chinese food very seriously. Now that I live in San Antonio, Texas--a place where Chinese food is absolutely terrible (with the exception of Oolong Chinese Bistro)--I have come to deeply miss Great Wall. I love their food. Everything I have ever ordered from this place is hot, fresh-to-order, and delicious. I very rarely tip when it is not required, but I always tip this place at least $5 each time because they work hard and the food is constantly amazing. I always order their Boneless BBQ ribs. Damn, they are amazing. I have tried to recreate this recipe for years, but I cannot get the right flavor. Great Wall's boneless BBQ ribs are absolutely the best. Next, is the General Tso. General Tso has been my favorite Chinese dish for more than 15 years now. In fact, when I was little, this is the only Chinese food I would eat. It is the best General Tso I have ever eaten. It is sweet, it is spicy, it is savory, it is always hot and always tastes fresh. They balance the flavors of sweet and spicy so well, that if I had the money, I would hire them to be my personal General Tso maker here in San Antonio. In addition, their eggrolls are always made to order and hot, and the flavor is spot-on. I always dunk my eggrolls in the extra General Tso sauce or extra boneless bbq rib sauce for extra delciousness. I absoltely love this place and think that everyone in a 25 mile area should come here and try their food. They are always genuinely polite, they are always extremely friendly, and they are also really accomodating. Add to that some amazing food and you have the best Chinese Take-Out in Syracuse. A pretty bad experience I placed an order online on my way to pick it up a lady from there called and asked if I was coming I told her yes and she said my food is being cooked it'll be 10 minutes until it's ready I pull up wait 10 minutes and grab my food ..... the lo mein noodles were stuck together like it's been left all day and it was dry and very soggy I also ordered beef and broccoli which I was very disappointed in that too was dry there was no sauce and the beef was extremely chewy. Usually go to Chen's for my Chinese food but thought I would try Great Wall for a change. I ordered Hot and Sour Soup and Kung Po Chicken. The soup was very bland, but after adding some rice vinegar and garlic chili sauce it was edible. When I opened the Kung Po I was greeted with an odor of rancid oil. Looks like the peanuts were very old. They were soft and tasted horrible. I removed the peanuts and tried to eat the rest, but I couldn't do it. I won't be going back. read more

Fantastic Service! Delivery is super swift and typically generous. Cookies, sauces and cans of soda had been included with larger orders. Owner was friendly and knew our family by name and usual order. Food is delicious and made to order. I do not understand how this place doesn't have more 5 star reviews. Hands down the best Chinese food I've ever had. If you look at my reviews you'll see I'm very tough and picky. But this place is amazing, it's run by a very friendly hard working family who really cares about making the food taste good. I love chinese food. My wife and I order from Great Wall once or twice a month for the last few years. My wife is extremely picky with chinese food, and won't eat just any chinese food, a few years ago when we moved to Brewerton, NY we decided to give them a try. We were completely blown away by the quality of the food, and the service we received. The staff is friendly, and remembers repeat customers, which is one reason we've continued coming back to Great Wall. If you decide to order, I highly recommend trying the chicken and broccoli, sesame chicken, and boneless spare ribs. Also the eggrolls are amazing. In most chinese places i've gone to, they have been hard or difficult to eat (i consider these finger foods). A+++ Place. read more
