Earlier this year was my first time back at Greater Nevada Field in about 6 years and then I went recently with my husband. I forgot what a wonderful place it is! My husband and I went to a game for our anniversary and we had an absolute blast! There really aren't any bad seats throughout the stadium. Usually I sit in the grass, but this time we decided to purchase seats. While I completely understand the netting, it is a little bit of a distraction when you're right up next to it (personal opinion of course). The field is very well taken care of and always looks green and beautiful. There is a wonderful variety of food options (Garlic fries are always a win), as well as drinks. I love that they have a full bar to purchase more than just beer, though that line can take a little bit to get through, just a heads up. They have an excellent play area for the kiddos to burn off some energy if they need it. Parking has gone up in price unfortunately, but it is very convenient and they are excellent at directing traffic to keep the guests safe. Another fun thing I got to do this time was utilize the message board for a happy anniversary message to my husband. Highly recommend for a fun surprise if you're going to celebrate an occasion. Overall the park is wonderful and I look forward to continuing to attend games in the future. read more

We attended tonight's 4pm game: Aces vs. Tacoma Rainiets and we were all having a really good time, the Aces had a huge 2nd inning and had about a 10-run lead plus it was "Scooby"-night which meant dogs were welcomed in the park; there were so many cute, friendly dogs wandering around, an-star stunt dog performing tricks during some of the breaks plus the cutest bat-dog collecting the baseball bat from the field. It was nearly a perfect experience until it started raining peanuts and bits of half-eaten hot dogs from the upper balcony. A group of us seated in section 102 on the main floor were assaulted by some undisciplined delinquents from the upper balcony with the indifferent parents doing nothing to stop them (I got hit on the head and shoulder several times). We complained to the ballpark security but inevitably ended up leaving before the 7th inning rather than put up with the b/s. read more

It's incredible to think that it's been over a year and a half since I've been to a baseball game and I can't think of a better place to re-enter the sports events. Greater Nevada Field has really done an amazing job of making ordering food and drinks from your phone easier than ever. They also have some great food outside of your traditional baseball grub. I recommend going to the Pizza Factory stand or Franx Stand (not the regular concession) for some Reno favorites. FYI: Security has made some changes. Anything larger than a clutch (purse) has to be clear for security purposes. Tip: I put my belongings in large ziplock and placed a tote inside of it. Once I made it through security, I put the ziplock in the tote;) Other than that have fun and Play Ball!!! read more

Nice stadium, some fun food and drink souvenir options. I don't have a lot to compare it to but it was fairly easy going through security to get in and the views seemed good for all. Unless you are in the lawn area, you aren't facing the sun either. I'd say parking was the longest, slowest part of the night, there was an open lot but only for pre-purchase pass so we were directed to park in the casino parking garage. Cost $10. read more

This ballpark is the best! As you drive up to the stadium it looks cool and inviting. I highly recommend paying the $15 for parking for its convenience and close proximity to the field. The folks that run the gate are friendly and fun. It's got a great sports shop and plenty of good ballpark food. The outside bars are great as well as plenty of choices for brews. I like to get a top shelf margarita from 'Just Dave' ( as he referred to himself) when I come to see our Hometown Aces. The Margie is tasty and refreshing and the pour is not chintzy. read more

What a great way to spend a beautiful summer evening. The stadium is very clean, easy to navigate and there are lots of options for food and drink. But what really makes this a fun night out is the announcer who has all kinds of fun with crowd. Aceball is definitely interactive for the spectators. He led us in a cheer for Beer, Seth Beer the player that gets the most enthusiasm from the crowd when he's up at bat. So happy to have baseball back! We went to the 5/14 Friday night game against the Las Vegas Aviators and had a great time. To be honest it started out slow but our Aces game flying back to win the game 10-7. The field looks beautiful and the addition of the protective netting is a giant plus! We had about 6 fouls make it over the netting and into the stands, no casualties thank goodness. Seriously though it makes you feel so much safer, thank you Aces. We have the 8 game season ticket plan and I'm excited to be able to sit in our seats in June, as we were assigned seats in another section far, far away from our seats due to social distancing. This ballpark is truly a gem for the fans of Reno Aces Baseball. It is one of the nicest Minor League Baseball venues I have ever seen. Go out and enjoy your Reno Aces, it's tons of fun! read more

If you love baseball like I do then you'll love Greater Nevada baseball field! Such a great field and great food! Been here several times over the years since it has opened. I have attended many baseball games, a cancer event and starting last year some soccer. Entering lines can seem long but move fairly quickly even with the bag searches and wanding. As a baseball venue, it's a great size. Lots of close seats to watch from. Afternoon to early evening the first base side requires sunglasses and sunscreen. It catches a lot of sun and can be toasty. I personally prefer the third base side. As a soccer venue, the first base line run the length of the field. Great seating for watching the entire game. From the third base line you have close up views of a goal. The team's fan band sits behind the goal, so be prepared for a noisy game. There's several different food and drink areas. Beside the usual hot dogs, brats, peanuts and beer; you'll find Nachos, Pizza, Carnitas Tacos, Pulled Pork, Smoked Brisket Sandwich, and Veggie Burger. And ultimate favorite- the caramel and candied apples. Mmmm Weekend games are usually finished with wonderful firework shows. The 4th of July is the best- baseball, food and stay seated for fireworks to music. Parking is limited. I recommend Uber in or walk a few extra blocks and park at the Washoe County Courthouse. read more

What a great day at the yard yesterday! The Reno Aces and Greater Nevada Field never disappoint! This is one of the nicest ballparks in triple A and we have a great time every time we go. Yesterday the Aces were playing the Tacoma Rainiers and it was a great game! It was also $1 hot dog Sunday which is always a great way to save some money and still enjoy a great dog at the game. One of the things I love is that this park is spotlessly clean. No matter what inning it is, the bathrooms are clean and there is never trash anywhere. They also have a fun area for the kids to blow off some steam. The concessions are good with pricing like you would find at any sporting event. They do have a good beer selection as well as some fun food offerings. I do wish that they would bring back a regular size popcorn. Currently they only offer a $10 souvenir bucket which is great for a family but not for one person who just wants a snack. Be aware that the restaurant outside the park on the first floor has closed as has one of the establishments on the 2nd floor. The restaurant that overlooks the field is still open and usually pretty busy. Reno is so lucky to have the Aces and Greater Nevada Field. It's a great time to be had and a wonderful place to take the family. I highly recommend for locals and visitors alike! read more

It does not get much better than this for Minor league baseball. We used to live in Eugene, OR where they had the Eugene Emeralds which is Class A short season affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. The Reno Aces and associated stadium are no comparison. It feels like you have the big leagues in a very nice stadium. It is also not like the big leagues. The crowds are smaller but the stadium is just as nice or nicer. We used Uber to get there and home which was very convenient. We had the opportunity of visiting the game and stadium in a suite for the company that I work with. What an experience! An air conditioned room with free food and beer. And, a view of the field that looks over the home plate to first base line. Granted, the amenities are only based on the dollars someone is willing to spend. But, we had everything we needed and free hats too. The service to ensure we were satisfied was very good as they checked on us multiple times. Again, the view and experience was amazing. Being able to enjoy quality Triple-A baseball at such a modern, attractive location that is both affordable and fun is a major plus. You can be any age and not even enjoy baseball to enjoy an evening here. Clean, safe, the food and drink, game activities, and adjoining Freight House District (a cool and relatively recent food/bar addition located within the facility to the Reno nightlife) make for a one-stop entertainment mecca. First time to Nevada! We had soooooo much fun! The field is easy to find & parking was super close to the field. The team shop had a variety of things & the workers were nice. We bought popcorn & icees from the burger shop. The customer service was good there too. My kids got to take the field to be the Archie buddy & also for the pony dash. It was a great experience all together & we enjoyed the game too! We are a baseball family & enjoy all things baseball. This is a great place to watch the Reno aces. Very nice and clean stadium. I wish the seats were a little bit bigger. They do have a cool picnic bench area which is nice for big groups. What an awesome little ballpark! I came to a Reno Aces baseball game on a Monday night and was pleasantly surprised by the charm and great atmosphere of this stadium. All of the staff I encountered were extremely friendly and seemed to thoroughly enjoy being/working at the park. The stadium was SO clean - even the bathrooms! I can't speak much to the food - we ate dinner before coming into the park but we did try the funnel cake and soft serve ice cream. The ice cream was the biggest one I'd ever seen! They sure give you your money's worth. Our seats were great - right behind 3rd plate / the dugout. And the prices for seats can't be beat. They offer tons of promotions throughout the year - $1 menu food nights, 2 for $22 Tuesday's, etc. So next time you're in Reno and looking for something to do besides the casinos, come check out a ballgame! read more

Celebrating Reno got a little bit easier yesterday, and it is the result of the Reno Aces. What they did was special and worthy of this letter of thanks. Simply put, they made their wonderful facility available for high school baseball, and, from what I've heard, they've been doing it for a while. In doing so, they created a memory that I'm sure will last a lifetime. Players from Bishop Manogue and Douglas High Schools got to stand in the same batter's box as Mike Trout when he visited Reno as a member of the Salt Lake Bees, as well as recent Ace Cody Ross, who was a member of the San Francisco Giants when they won the World Series. These two names are just the tip of the iceberg when you reflect on the talent that is travelling through Reno on a regular basis, and these are the two easy names for me to remember, there are literally dozens of others. Heck, I got to witness one of the biggest Home Runs I've ever seen when Willy Mo Pena was with the team in 2011, prior to his call up to the Diamondbacks. I do wonder what happened to the Willy Mo Pena bobbleheads, as I wanted one. Beyond the talent that has played here, the facility is amazing, and one that doesn't need to be shared with the likes of the local high schools. The PA system was the best that either of these two teams have ever enjoyed, and they fired it up, between innings, between batters, and, sometimes, between pitches. The 'breaking glass' sound they employ when the foul ball leaves the yard is still funny to me. Beyond the sound, the field was in great shape and looked fantastic. The Aces even had their employees working the snack bar. They had a special 'high school' menu going, and as it felt real good to be at the park, I didn't mind spending $9.50 on chicken tenders and fries. Seriously, putting people to work, enjoying a great facility, and being outside seeing high school athletes in a world class venue made the event so worthwhile. The Reno Aces get it. They are working to become a valuable asset in the community, sharing the facility when they don't have to, and employing some folks who otherwise might not be getting the work. Celebrating Reno, and what it has to offer the community, is exciting. Go Aces, thank you and I'll be back. read more

My family and I were in Reno from July 5-7, 2009 visiting friends. Since I'm an avid minor league baseball fan, before we left to head over the Sierra's, I checked up on the Reno Aces and their new ballpark. What's this, the Aces are hosting the Sacramento Rivercats that weekend. Now, tickets are a MUST. My family and I arrived at the ballpark about an hour before the game to get some some seats. My buddy and his family arrive shortly after we get there. We get the tickets on the visitor side (thanks to me) and prepare to enter. WHAT? You CAN bring UN-opened beverages and food, as long as it's wrapped in plastic. Man, I'm coming back just to enjoy that perk. Into the ballpark we go. IMPRESSIVE is the only word to describe what I'm seeing. A brand new, shinny & no gum on the seats (yet) ballpark. They even have a talking mascot. That's right, it talks. If your in the Reno area during baseball season, you have to bookmark this place as a "to try later" place. read more

Love this place and always have a great time. My last visit ended up being rained out, not in their book, but certainly in mine. Still a great time as had time to get those dollar hot dogs and a bag of peanuts and then watched the Aces score 7 runs in the very first inning! The rain was a shame but even after 1 1/2 hours we were happy to have experienced the ball game and call it a day and simply get out of the rain. What a great Star Wars theme night! I have to give a big hand to the janitorial crew. A child lost their dinner two rows in front of us and they were quick to get it cleaned up (no one looks forward to that job)! I was privileged to be close to the beer garden side so we were able to get some delicious adult beverages for the game. Great managed rink and helpful staff give this attraction four stars. They missed out on the fifth star due to the poor quality of their ice skates, which make it impossible to do anything else besides going around the rink, including difficulty in staying up. It was awesome to visit the rink and watch people going around and having fun. It's definitely a great family event, and the kids enjoy it for the most part, outside of the difficulty in staying up. However, the difficulty in staying up comes from more than just experience and skill. The ice skates are of poor quality such that they cannot be properly fixed around the ankle, leaving a lot of room for play and a poor balance scheme. This results in a very rudimentary skating experience and makes skating more difficult than it should be. I'm unsure whether outside skates can be brought in, but from what I've heard and seen, I don't see a reason why one wouldn't be able to bring their own skates for a better experience, especially when a good pair of skates cost about $40 at Scheels in Sparks. For the kids and inexperienced skaters , they have little plastic seal carts which act as walkers on the ice, helping to make a better experience for even the least skilled on the ice. These cost an extra $5, but it's worth it to create a more enjoyable experience if you need it. All things considered, the rink is worth a visit, especially with a loved one or the family, but don't expect high quality skates unless you bring them with you. Also, bring lots of warm clothing, and clothes with some padding, in case you do fall on the ice. read more

Call me a fan or call me a local, I don't think I care either way, I have a great time watching the home team (go Aces!). The finer of ballpark cuisine is to be had here and they have a great assortment of food, snacks, munchies, people, finer ales, and cocktails. All manner of foods here so you'll find what you're belly wants. The snack bars offer dogs, nachos, sammiches, snacks, the usual, and the seasonal. Stepping away from the ordinary, they also keep the extraordinary as well. One location houses Wild Garlic's pizza, a cart has a virtual extravaganza of sausages, and atop the first base line is the gourmet burger booth. They're even stepping the arena into other sports (ugh, soccer, not a fan). I'll confess, while not a fan of the baseball, I really enjoy watching the home team from behind the plate. This is an amazing way to enjoy the game and for me, the only way it should be watched. Even still, if you find yourself restless and wishing to wander, or just looking for an inexpensive way to see the game, there is plenty of room to walk around, or just enjoy the freedom of a general admission fare. And what goes best with baseball besides hot dogs and apple pie ('Merica)? Fireworks! Many, of the weekend games include a showing of skyrockets exploding post game so it may be worth planning your visit accordingly. They keep it mean and clean so you'll enjoy whichever sport you harken for and enjoy, but if you're not enjoying your visit it's you, not the stadium. Good times are had here! read more
