I was in Middletown for some paperwork I had to do, after leaving I googled restaurants on the way home and here I am. I walked up to the counter and ordered my gyro and Greek fries. I almost ordered the Monday Special, but I wasn't that hungry. I grabbed my cup and got a drink. I sat down and waited my e 5-10 minutes and my food came out and it was super yummy. I stopped here for lunch as I was in the area and I love Greek food. I started with the spanakopita or spinach pie. A delicious triangle shaped, flakey crust, spinach filled pie that tasted just great! Next came the large Greek salad with grilled chicken. Tender chicken chunks with a great seasoning and just a touch of heat. Salad was iceberg lettuce with feta, tomatoes, Kalamata olives, red onions, pepperonis. It very good and hit the spot but I would have expected more interesting greens for a Greek salad. The only real negative here: the food is served on styrofoam plates with plastic tableware and styrofoam cups. (Better quick serve tableware is available.) Overall, I liked it! Grecian Delight is just that, a delight. First time stopping in here in years. Had the pork Gyro and Greek fries.. the Taziki sauce is every bit the best I've ever had. Creamy, flavorful just made everything taste amazing. The pork was prepared perfectly. Had great seasoning. Their gyros are pretty simple. Basically it has a few onions and tomatoes as well as the meat. Simple but very delicious. The fries were excellent. The olive oil, spices and Taziki sauce hit the spot. Small restaurant. Located at a catty corner intersection. Kind of tough to get into the parking lot unless you're heading north on Dixie. Owned and operated by Greeks. It's family owned and the food is good. I usually order the lentil soup on a regular basis. I feel the prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly and service is good. Had lunch here today. This is a delightful little family-run place with a small town vibe tucked in off Cin-Day Rd. Good size menu. Very friendly counter woman. She takes your order and it is delivered to your table. They use disposable plates and silverware. I had a generous size fish dinner with a bowl of lentil soup, an Athenian salad (basically a Greek salad with potato salad underneath) and a refillable fountain drink--all for under 16 dollars. I had lunch here with my daughter & her boyfriend yesterday and we all really enjoyed it. It seems a bit off the beaten path and it's easy to miss being situated off the road in a small strip mall. We ordered the Greek Fries as an appetizer to share and we each ordered the Gyro. I also ordered the extras, for a small fee, of olives and feta to add to my gyro. The fries came out quickly and were delicious! They're topped with Greek seasoning, feta and taziki sauce. It's more a serving for two rather than three people but that's ok because I saved some room for my gyro. The gyros came out before we finished the fries, although my daughter/her boyfriend finished them off pretty fast. The gyros aren't fancy but they are very good. The ingredients are fresh and it had a decent amount of them. Not so overstuffed that it couldn't be eaten with the hands but not so skimpy on the stuffings that it's all pita bread. We all really enjoyed them and didn't leave a bite behind. My daughter's boyfriend was eyeing the Baklava while we were ordering and couldn't resist getting a piece when we finished our gyros. He and my daughter shared the piece and they said it was perfect. Not overly sweet or chewy. The service was friendly and efficient. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and thanked as we left. This little mom & pop diner is located not far from the flea market and outlet mall, where we were headed, so it's a nice spot for a delicious lunch before a day of shopping. Grecian Delight is very simple yet awesome. It's more of a mom and pop diner than a Greek restaurant. Many items do have a Greek influence. Atmosphere is pretty quiet except for the radio. The dining room has a surprising amount of tables. It doesn't seem like anything special from the outside. Inside it feels like a family run diner. You order at the counter and they bring you the food. It has more of an American menu than a Greek one. There's things like hamburgers, but there are some Greek items too. I had a Greek salad and the lentil soup. It was about $6 for all this. The lentil soup is vegetarian. It comes in a small styrofoam bowl. There's no frills at this place. It makes it kind of charming. This all wouldn't have mattered if the food sucked. One of the best places for Greek American. It didn't have any other customers. It's easy to miss this one, but a friend recommended we give it a shot. She called it the "hidden gem of Middletown." She was correct. It's a quaint little restaurant, and the folks operating it are hands-down the best. While we were eating, a senior gentleman entered the restaurant. The lady behind the counter greeted him by name, and handed him his take-out. Sort of like when the bar hollered "Norm!" on Cheers. I had the spaghetti and meatballs (Thursday special) and was not disappointed in the least. Everything is scratch made - except the hamburgers, we were told "they come from somewhere else." My wife had the shrimp salad, and she said the homemade ranch dressing made it complete. When we finished our order, the man asked if there were anything else. I asked him if there was something on the menu he thought i should try. He suggested the baklava, so I asked for a slice. When they brought our food to us, he placed the baklava on the table, and said, "This is the baklava, and this is the spice cake. It's not on the menu every day, but I want you to try it." And offered a free slice of the best spice cake I've ever tasted. If you're looking for a fancy place to take a first date, this probably isn't what you'd be looking for. I had an urn-ing for Greek food today, especially for Stuffed Grape Leaves. Back in Philadelphia, I could stop almost anywhere and find a Greek kiosk or restaurant. I could get stuffed grape leaves almost any time I wanted--some were fresh, some were fresh from a can--which is not that fresh. When I moved to Florida, it was tough to find Greek places, though Mediterranean restaurants were almost always serving Greek food. I used to go to the health food store for stuffed grape leaves, also apparently from a can. Today, I found this dear restaurant hiding in a hard to reach cubbyhole along Cin-Day Road. Now, the last time I went to a Greek place, I found that I could order a Gyro and Baklava--that's quite a Greek selection. So, as the owner and I were discussing stuffed grape leaves, I found that they have Souvlaki. It was one of Tuesday's specials. It reminded me of a place on Philadelphia's South Street where they did carry out and the amazing smell would be radiated for blocks. Then, I saw that yesterday's special was Pastichio, and my heart dropped. Okay, most of you might not care for Lasagne, so you might not care for Pastichio, which is as close to Lasagne as you'll get in a Greek restaurant. So, Maria said "I still have some left." I got the feeling that she would have made some just then, to cheer me up. I added Lentil Soup and a drink to my order and it came somewhere under $11.00. Considering this was basically home-made food, I think it's not nearly as expensive as going to a place that pulls everything out of a can. The last time I had Pastichio was in Tarpon Springs, Florida where they had a Greek community and a lot of divers looking for real, live sponges. The Pastichio was okay, but a bit tourist-worthy. Ms. Maria put taste in hers and that made all the difference. Meats, cheeses, and taste--Oh, my! The dinner included bread and butter and fresh green beans--no cans necessary. The Lentil Soup had as much taste as any Lentil Soup, which isn't that much. I sometimes fix it up at home with a little Sofrito or Tom Yum base, but nothing of the sort available today. I was pleased to find such a good restaurant, hidden as it is, with such a charming host and good food. Forget Olive Garden--go to Grecian Delight and Urn yourself a happy tummy! read more

Located in Middletown, OH. Slightly disappointed in the ambiance of this location as every time the door opened you will feel the draft of outdoors. We ordered the popcorn shrimp and fries. The entree which we thought was going to be fresh was simply out of a frozen bag. Super disappointed and would not recommend this entree. We also ordered several gyros platters. This entree came with salad. The gyros has very little content and did not piled up with lettuce or tomatoes. I had to add the lettuce and toppings to make this small gyros more edible. The gyro meat was at least moist with flavors. Then we ordered some spanokopita which is a pastry stuffed with spinach and feta cheese. Another disappointing appetizer. For the price we payed we did not get the best value for the food we ordered. Overall ambiance, with self service and food did not meet our expectations what so ever.
