Greek Street does Greek food right. The quality is superb, and the meat tastes delicious. I enjoyed a lamb gyro 'Greek street style' which has tzatziki, tomato jam, pickled red onions, parsley and paprika. The fries were also crispy. My only reservation is the price for the amount of food. At a $16 price point for a gyro and fries, I'd be expecting to have the gyro overflowing with ingredients and almost challenging to fold. Don't get me wrong, I understand it costs money to get high quality meat and marinades, but when most lunch options can be had for around $10-12, it has me thinking I'll visit Greek Street only on certain occasions.

Super food! Greek lemon chicken soup is my favorite soup ever. Theirs is rich and meaty and served very very hot. I also had a chicken rice bowl today. Chicken thighs and your choice of yummy toppings. Great, friendly service and a small dining area.

This is a terrific new Greek eatery in Cross Pointe Plaza. It is a "spinoff" of a popular food truck. The location is quite convenient and easy to find. The interior was well done with a lot of stainless surfaces. While crisp and new, it was not elegant. It had a basic layout that vaguely reminded me of roadside food courts which I've visited outside the US. The format was walk-up and order. The gentleman working the front was quite pleasant and reasonably efficient. Their menu is fairly streamlined and is centered on gyro sandwiches. I opted for a gyro combo with an upgrade to Greek Fries. My Gyro was Greek Street style which included tzatziki, tomato jam, pickled red onions, parsley and paprika. The tomato jam was really a nice touch as it conferred a little sweeter taste to the gyro. The Greek Fries were also very good with tzatziki, feta, dill and scallions. My wife was not as hungry and chose to have the Avgolemono Soup (Chicken Lemon Rice Soup) while sharing my fries. The soup was quite tasty as well. I also had a Greek Coffee, which was pretty good. The final cost with food, drinks, tax and tip was just over $30. Given the quality of the fare, I was not unhappy with the cost. I would be happy to try this place again.

This is the first time we made it back to the new Greek Street brick and mortar after moving to St. Louis (we followed Chris, Doug, and Co for years when they ran the food truck). Just like the truck, the restaurant is next level Greek cuisine... It's as authentic as it gets here and the service, quality, and atmosphere are top notch. If you haven't been to Greek Street, make the trip... The gyros, spanikopita, Greek fries, salads, pastitsio, and baklava, etc. will make the trip worth well worth it. Still to date, the best Greek food in Dayton by an absolute landslide.

Omgggggg so yum. Needed a salad and was feeling fancy, so I ordered takeout. Not only was everything flavorful and fantastic, it was still hot and fresh by the time I got home. I'll definitely be back!

An awesome local place. The place was clean, had a great ambience. The service was quick and polite. Got the Lamb Gyro (Greek style)- highly recommend it. The lamb didn't have any gaminess at all and was super tender. The shrimp gyro was also very good. The Greek fries were good. Overall a great place and highly recommend them.

Food was excellent! My wife had a chicken souvlaki Gyro and a whole Greek salad. That she split with me. I did chicken chunks in my souvlaki were tender and marinated nicely. They just changed from a food truck a few years ago so the ambience was OK. It's very small I would've appreciated larger plastic silverware,

Really flavorful and yummy food! Had the beef empanadas and beef Anticuchos (beef kabob). The Chimichurri was excellent! I also had a Chicha Morada which is a purple Peruvian drink, tasted like mulled wine only was nonalcoholic. * they do not serve alcohol

I have to say one of the BEST spots we've found in the Dayton area so far! From the second we walked in being greeted to the assistance provided in ordering what we'd love. The two men that helped us made the experience even better, so personable and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious! I got the lamb rice bowl and the lamb was absolutely mouth watering and delicious, not to mention the chickpeas were to die for! My husband had the chicken platter, he was raving and shared some of the chicken with me! WOW! So juicy and full of flavor! Everything was so fresh. The restaurant itself is awesome, very clean and welcoming as well! I HIGHLY recommend checking it out! We will definitely be back! And thank y'all so much for sharing some foodie places as well!

One of the best greek restaurants in Dayton. Food is fresh and tastes amazing. Recommend trying the traditional style chicken gyro.

The Greek-Style Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, onion rings, and mozzarella cheese sticks were packed in styrofoam containers. The Tzatziki sauce for the sandwich and marinara sauce for the mozzarella cheese sticks were placed in plastic containers which were then placed in a small paper bag. Items were then placed in a big paper bag that was stapled together. Food was packed very well. The Greek-Style Philly Cheesesteak is basically gyro-style lamb meat but instead of placing it in pita bread it is put in a submarine-sandwich style roll with cheese on top. I picked provolone cheese. The sandwich was overflowing with a good amount of gyro meat, but the lettuce and tomatoes didn't seem very fresh. I did eat one half of it, and the meat was good, but if I ever order from here again, I would get the sandwich without the lettuce and tomatoes. The bread on the sandwich was pretty good though. The onion rings were a disappointment. They were soggy to me. Not much of a crunch and it didn't seem they were freshly cooked. The mozzarella cheese sticks were really good. Out of everything in my order, these seemed to be the best. Overall, I would not recommend. I liked the idea of gyro meat on a submarine sandwich bun, but the lettuce and tomatoes didn't seem fresh. Onion rings, likewise, were not very good. They were soggy and underwhelming.

I love this place. They know their Greek food. Sparse seating but I come for the expertise chefread more

The menu SUGGESTED adding mayo but that's apparently not allowed anymore. The place was weirdly quiet, the drink station was dirty, the Greek potato's in my to go order were FREEZING. The sauce on the side was a mix of liquid and chunky and was needed because there was zero seasoning on the potato's. The wrap had no pickle but promised pickle. The lettuce in the wrap was brown in places. The chicken was good but this place has gone way down. Probably won't be back here again. Too bad!!!

We stopped here for dinner on a long, long, long drive north to the Detroit area. I really wanted…read moreto get a small taste of local flavor instead of just eating fast food, and Olive was more or less on our way, so we hopped off the interstate to grab a bite. Now, from some of the pictures of the outside on Yelp, it looks like this is a standalone business with a private parking lot. That might have been the case at one time, but either the business moved or it has a second location that's freestanding and the pics are in the wrong spot, as that's not the case now. This Olive is very much in the downtown-ish area, carved into the ground floor of a much larger building. As such, parking may be a bit more challenging since there doesn't appear to be a private lot. That said, we had no trouble finding a spot on the street within a block or two. Parking was paid for with the Passport app, and it was reasonable. Of course, it might be harder during nicer weather -- not a lot of people out on a rainy evening! We walked in to find the restaurant fairly spacious but almost deserted -- only two other people waiting for to-go orders. Kind of odd for a Friday night, but again...weather. The decorations are kind of sparse but the place, including the bathroom, was clean. We ordered our meal at the counter and sat down to wait. Husband got a gyro and fries, and I got the Shish tawook platter, which came with grilled chicken, a salad, rice, and pita. We also got an order of the Greek potatoes to try out as an appetizer. Service was a little gruff at checkout but gave us a genuine, kind-hearted thank you as we left, so I guess they just had to warm up to us, lol. The potatoes came out first and were my favorite part of the meal! They were clearly cooked fresh. I'm honestly not sure what's Greek about them as they kinda reminded me of hash browns (the cubed, hash kind) with a little squeeze of lemon and maybe some herbs on top...but if it ain't broke, don't fix it! They were piping hot and very crispy. Husband and I enjoyed our meals, too. His gyro was very large and almost over-stuffed with gyro meat. The fries were medium-cut but tasted like McDonald's fries somehow...not complaining. My Shish tawook was very juicy and flavorful. I've had better rice and pita but these were both quite serviceable and I enjoyed a fairly healthy-feeling meal. Honestly, my true rating is maybe more in-line with a 3.5...but I don't have any super severe criticisms and we had a quite pleasant time overall, so I'll just round up to a 4. Seems like they do a lot of carryout / delivery business. I'd recommend this spot for a decently healthy, very fresh Mediterranean bite if you're in the area.
