Sorry for no picture as we devoured our meal. This is hands down the best authentic Greek food in the area! We shared the chicken & lamb platter with hummus, Greek salad, Pita bread and taziki. Meat was well seasoned but not salty and perfectly tender. Loved the simple Greek dressing on the salad and both the hummus and taziki was delicious. Staff is also friendly and you can tell take pride in their food. Don't let the outside or inside deter you. Our new favorite place! read more

We were excited to find another Mediterranean restaurant to try out. I ordered the chicken kabob rice platter which comes with rice, hummus, cucumber sauce and pita. The chicken was super moist but lacked a certain flavor to me that I can't put my finger on. The rice is definitely different than what I have ever had but the more I ate it, the more I enjoyed it. I will say that it had a lot of a specific seasoning. I'm not sure if it was thyme but I felt it was over powering. The cucumber sauce was really good as was the hummus. I love that they grill the pita to warm and toast it before serving. The hubs had the kofta rice platter. Aside from the rice, he enjoyed the dish here better than the other kabob place we have been to in Holly Springs. If I could take certain elements from each place and build my meal, I could build the perfect plate. lol Overall, the food was delicious and we will definitely be back. read more

My husband and I went here for lunch and it was so good! he had the chicken kebabs and I had the gyro. You'll notice no picture- because we ATE SO FAST!! one of my many guilty pleasures are Greek fries and theirs are AMAZING! Please check them out. Authentic food cooked fresh. We dined in and the order was ready quickly. The chicken was a bit dry but I'm hoping that's a one off and everything else was great! I work part-time in Holly Springs and for years there were not many options for lunch especially on Sundays. I love Greek and Mediterranean foods. Stuffed grape leaves is on the top of my food list. I love their version of a big salad as it comes with grape leaves, meat and a heap of pita bread. I always feel full after their salad and it gives me strength in the middle of a long workday. read more

Dropped by for lunch here and ordered a Medi plate, additional lamb kebab, a falafel snack plate, and tabouleh salad. The food was delicious and we loved all of it!! Food is really authentic, and the staff - Annie particularly - is top notch. The owner is stand-offish and acts like he doesn't know me and my wife every time we go even though we've been there dozens of time on a consistent basis and held private parties there. Stingy with the pita but that is my only complaint. We ordered the rice platter with a chicken kabob, a gyro and a side of hummus. I would not recommend paying $4.99 for a side of hummus with the amount of pita we received. I am not sure if there was some confusion since we were supposed to get it with the side of hummus and my platter so maybe we only got enough for one of them. The food was really good. Portions were on the smaller side but very tasty. The only downside was that I was looking for delivery and when I ordered o had searched for restaurants that deliver but it was changed to takeout because it seems Grubhub no longer delivers for them. That really annoyed me but the food and service made up for it. I was leaving without my drink and the attendant came out to find me and let me know I had a drink with my order and that I had not grabbed it. Bad he not done that I think I wouldn't have given this place another try. read more

I ordered the rice platter with two chicken kabobs and a side of falafel for delivery a few days ago--very good! The kabobs were well seasoned and nicely grilled, the hummus and tzatziki were tasty, and the five falafel were large and crisp. The seasoned rice was good, too, but a bit salty for my taste. There was enough food that I saved over half of my order for dinner the next night (which was my goal!), and I still have more leftover. This place is a definite go-to if I decide to order in again. read more

After hearing and reading many good reviews , finally gave it a shot 50 minutes round trip. for me a disappointment for my wife she said it was ok . I had the "Fresh Greek Salad" with GYRO meat. tomatoes weren't red for one but also bitter. I hope someone forgot to shake greek dressing before putting in the to go cup other wise dressing sucks like ours did, all it taste like was vinegar not one speck of spice in it either. as for the GYRO meat it taste like cheap fried Bologna and greasy "pup liked it". only reason 3 star is my wife enjoyed hers after she subed Kens Greek dressing in place of Basmas on her salad with chicken kabob. for me if I'm going on an hr or more cruise to get greek, I'm going to kabob skewer at Tryon & Cary pkwy or searching out Gussy food truck. will not return to Basma unless in the area ! read more

I have tried this place twice recently. The first time, I got the gyro sandwich with fries. Fries were great and I enjoyed the gyro, but could have used more sauce. Reasonably price Mediterranean food. We shared a Basma 2 kabob platter with chicken and lamb. The Kabobs were moist and delicious, side of sauce was the right amount of garlic, and a yummy salad rounded out the plate. Post run meal search with hanger. Yelp to the rescue! Small place in a strip of shops off of the Walmart shopping center. Typical Mediterranean style options: salads, gyros, platters, and a $3.99 fries/salad and drink combo. We tried the chicken pita, the gyro (lamb & steak), and a Greek salad. Chicken gyro was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Gyro was also quite good but meat was not cooked in-house on a vertical rotisserie. Wasn't bad but it's still not the same as having it cut right off and served. Salad was fresh and tasty. Place was bright, clean, and the staff was friendly. Pricing was average for this type of food. Definitely worth a stop if you want fresh and healthy food. read more

Best food ever!! I don't eat out that much because of food allergies but I LOVE this restaurant! Great quality - made fresh when you order. I ate at least 2 steak and cheeses a week when I was pregnant. I've taken my parents there a dozen times and they love it too. I also think that "Sweetandsour S." is quite naive OR doesn't actually know how much food costs . You spend at least $7-9 on a meal from a fast food place and I've never heard of a place that gives double meat away. read more

The Kabob was well seasoned with a bit of spice. The hummus was delicious, creamy, and balanced. I often find restaurant hummus has to much tihini, but this was perfect. The Tzitziki wasn't the best I've had, but still good with the Kabob. The Dolmas/ stuffed grape leaves were interesting. This was my first time having them. There was a subtle licorice like taste, then start/vinegary. I liked the flavor overall but I was left with an unsavory mouth-feel. Not sure if it was because they were served cold or the ingredients in general. Finally, I completed my meal with a piece of pistachio baklava. Now, I've never really like baklava, but something told me to give the pistachio one a try. OMG, I have a new favorite dessert. The nutty, salty, flavor of the nut combined with the syrup, and the best crunchy texture EVER!! I purchased three more pieces to go!! For the platter, a drink, all the baklava and tip, I spent around $37. Nothing stood out about customer service. They weren't inviting, but they were rude either. I ordered stuffed grape leaves as my side but it was not delivered with my kabob so I had to go up and ask for it. Again I was surprised due to the filling which is usually rice. Not sure what they were stuffed with but I left most of it on my plate. There were both clean and dirty tables and booths. A Greek restaurant playing Spanish music?? Yep....
