Great restaurant! Food was excellent and young man who waited on us was friendly! We enjoyed our time there

We were excited to find another Mediterranean restaurant to try out. I ordered the chicken kabob rice platter which comes with rice, hummus, cucumber sauce and pita. The chicken was super moist but lacked a certain flavor to me that I can't put my finger on. The rice is definitely different than what I have ever had but the more I ate it, the more I enjoyed it. I will say that it had a lot of a specific seasoning. I'm not sure if it was thyme but I felt it was over powering. The cucumber sauce was really good as was the hummus. I love that they grill the pita to warm and toast it before serving. The hubs had the kofta rice platter. Aside from the rice, he enjoyed the dish here better than the other kabob place we have been to in Holly Springs. If I could take certain elements from each place and build my meal, I could build the perfect plate. lol Overall, the food was delicious and we will definitely be back. read more

My husband and I went here for lunch and it was so good! he had the chicken kebabs and I had the gyro. You'll notice no picture- because we ATE SO FAST!! one of my many guilty pleasures are Greek fries and theirs are AMAZING! Please check them out. I work part-time in Holly Springs and for years there were not many options for lunch especially on Sundays. I love Greek and Mediterranean foods. Stuffed grape leaves is on the top of my food list. I love their version of a big salad as it comes with grape leaves, meat and a heap of pita bread. I always feel full after their salad and it gives me strength in the middle of a long workday. read more

Food is really authentic, and the staff - Annie particularly - is top notch. The owner is stand-offish and acts like he doesn't know me and my wife every time we go even though we've been there dozens of time on a consistent basis and held private parties there. Omg the most authentic Greek food I have found close to home and the food is just delicious and very tasty on all fronts a must try for all.

Stingy with the pita but that is my only complaint. We ordered the rice platter with a chicken kabob, a gyro and a side of hummus. I would not recommend paying $4.99 for a side of hummus with the amount of pita we received. I am not sure if there was some confusion since we were supposed to get it with the side of hummus and my platter so maybe we only got enough for one of them. In the end, the food tasted great and I was a huge fan. read more

The food was really good. Portions were on the smaller side but very tasty. The only downside was that I was looking for delivery and when I ordered o had searched for restaurants that deliver but it was changed to takeout because it seems Grubhub no longer delivers for them. That really annoyed me but the food and service made up for it. I was leaving without my drink and the attendant came out to find me and let me know I had a drink with my order and that I had not grabbed it. I ordered the rice platter with two chicken kabobs and a side of falafel for delivery a few days ago--very good! The kabobs were well seasoned and nicely grilled, the hummus and tzatziki were tasty, and the five falafel were large and crisp. The seasoned rice was good, too, but a bit salty for my taste. There was enough food that I saved over half of my order for dinner the next night (which was my goal!), and I still have more leftover. After hearing and reading many good reviews , finally gave it a shot 50 minutes round trip. for me a disappointment for my wife she said it was ok . I had the "Fresh Greek Salad" with GYRO meat. tomatoes weren't red for one but also bitter. I hope someone forgot to shake greek dressing before putting in the to go cup other wise dressing sucks like ours did, all it taste like was vinegar not one speck of spice in it either. as for the GYRO meat it taste like cheap fried Bologna and greasy "pup liked it". only reason 3 star is my wife enjoyed hers after she subed Kens Greek dressing in place of Basmas on her salad with chicken kabob. for me if I'm going on an hr or more cruise to get greek, I'm going to kabob skewer at Tryon & Cary pkwy or searching out Gussy food truck. will not return to Basma unless in the area ! read more

It's not bad taste wise.. but we got maybe two pieces of meat on our gyro. Thats unfortunate bc they had good reviews and guys were nice inside but no meat on a gyro is crazy. read more

Reasonably price Mediterranean food. We shared a Basma 2 kabob platter with chicken and lamb. The Kabobs were moist and delicious, side of sauce was the right amount of garlic, and a yummy salad rounded out the plate. Typical Mediterranean style options: salads, gyros, platters, and a $3.99 fries/salad and drink combo. We tried the chicken pita, the gyro (lamb & steak), and a Greek salad. Chicken gyro was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Gyro was also quite good but meat was not cooked in-house on a vertical rotisserie. Wasn't bad but it's still not the same as having it cut right off and served. Salad was fresh and tasty. Place was bright, clean, and the staff was friendly. Pricing was average for this type of food. Definitely worth a stop if you want fresh and healthy food. read more
