The grape leaves were yummy- and the portion was very generous. The chicken gyro was decent, the fries were missing flavor- thank goodness for the tzatziki sauce to enhance the flavor. Service was excellent. There was no issue getting separate checks for our group of 3. This was the first time any of us had been here, but it was close to an event we came from. The food was very good, with large portions. We started with the spanikopita. I had never seen it in a spiral like this, but it was as fun to eat as it looked, and so flaky! I had the lamb and beef gyro, which was quite good. One friend had the fig flatbread, which we all tasted. Very good, and sweet enough for dessert. She also asked for a small salad, which turned out to be rather large. The other friend had the seafood souvlaki, and there was so much seafood that she was sharing with us. Had a last minute cancellation of our dinner plans and thought we'd try this place again, take-out. Our lamb/beef gyros were okay, but certainly not as delicious as from other places we like. Forgot to ask for extra tzatziki, and there was not much on the sandwiches. Next time we'll order a horiatiki salad, as we did not like the greens in the Greek salad we ordered; otherwise, the salad was fine. Had some grizzle in my sandwich. Person who took our order on the phone was a bit rude. I almost said "forget it," but after waiting a long time for her to pick up (I guess they don't care much about take-out orders.) and as we were hungry, I tried to overlook her rudeness and place our order. read more

Being greek I sometimes crave some good greek food. Glad I found Brothers. The saganaki didn't come on fire but still was lovely. I think they fried it and it was lighter than expected. The spinakopita was also nicely done. The pork souvlaki was tender and a nice sized portion. Pork souvlaki can sometimes be chewy but not here. I stopped in and placed a take out order for 2 lamb gyros. It took the 10 minutes they said it would $28 with taxes I thought was a fair price in today's economy. They were excellent. The toppings were crisp and fresh, the lamb was ample and seasoned well and the pita was very good. Since it's a small business I paid in cash. Definitely going back! read more

My coworkers and I had lunch to celebrate a birthday. I had the pork gyro which was very tasty and big! The piece of galaktoboureko dessert was very good and big. This is a great place and a welcome addition to the community! The decor is actually quite nice. They seem to have repurposed the furniture and fittings of the previous restaurant, which is fine as it is nice enough to take a date/wife/husband/other named party. Holy moly! Met a friend for dinner at this unassuming place tucked into a little Acme shopping center. The ambiance was comfortable and not loud. We could actually converse. It's BYOB; I brought some light beer. The server handled it perfectly. I ordered a vegetable gyro sandwich. Substituted broccoli for fries. Oh my goodness. The sandwich was perfectly cooked. Each vegetable tasted like itself, not frozen. The accompanying tzezeki sauce was spot on. I finished every last bit even though it was large. The broccoli was lovely. My friend got the lamb platter. She raved about the meat, commenting about how perfectly cooked it was, how soft rather than tough it was. She was in heaven. The broccoli was great, she said. The service was excellent, our waitress was very attentive and kind, but not at all pushy so we didn't feel in any way rushed. Best Greek food I've had years. The Moussaka was creamy and perfectly prepared. Seafood Souvlaki was delightfully mildly seasoned, and he seafood was not the least bit overcooked. Split a Saganaki Cheese appetizer. The perfect start to a wonderful meal. Portions were generous and the presentations artful. Service was unhurried without being slow, presented by a delightful wait-staff. My only very very slightly negative comment is that the chairs are extremely hard. Chair pillows would be welcome. FINALLY a Greek Restaurant that knows what they are doing. The decor is welcoming and warm. We had the Spanakopita, fried zucchini, chicken sandwich, and a pork gyro sandwich. Everything was great. It's difficult to find good Greek food in the Philadelphia area, and I'm glad that Greek Brothers Taverna relocated! Visited yesterday for the first time and went with the basics to get a sense of the place - Horiatiki salad, saganaki, gyro sandwich, moussaka, and lemonada. Salad was fresh and well dressed. Saganaki cheese is made the way it's made in Greece - very lightly breaded (maybe just tossed in flour). Lamb and beef gyro was so full it was a mess to eat; they didn't skimp on the meat. Moussaka was made in traditional way with cinnamon and very fresh with generous topping of bechamel sauce. Yum! These guys know what they are doing. Have tried Greek Brothers in Dresher twice. Had gyros both time - thought it might be better the second time I guess. lol I don't care for the hummus although the pita is great. They add something to the hummus that makes it pinkish - maybe roasted red pepper, although when I asked the server, he didn't know anything about it. I prefer a smooth consistency and theirs is coarse. I find the tzatziki to be mediocre and it is way too thick on the gyros. You can't get to the meat for all the goop. The sandwich always falls apart and becomes too messy to eat with your hands. I think the fries are also mediocre and the last time I ate there they were undercooked. If I ever do go back I might try the pastitsio or the moussaka and see if they are any better, but right now nothing is drawing me back. I really miss Yanni's in Lansdale. They were the very best I have had in this area but they didn't survive the pandemic. Alas. read more

Was looking forward to a delicious Greek meal in a friendly atmosphere, based on Yelp reviews. Instead I had the driest chicken souvalki (the only seasoning I could taste was garlic). My dad had the bronzino, deboned. It too was overcooked/dry. The rice was good. The service was lacking and the opposite of what we expected. We were all but ignored. I asked for another cream for the coffee, and it never arrived. We finished eating and the plates remained on the table. We moved them to the end of the table and still the server walked by the table no less than 4 times without checking in. We eventually flagged down the server for our bill. Most astounding is that our server was training a new server. Hope she has more sense and caring. We won't be back to find out. read more
