The couple of times I've visited here was for takeout service. They prepared my order correctly and swiftly. The staff has always been very friendly and pleasant to engage conversation with. The restaurant is kept clean and comfortable for dine-in patrons. My dishes were delicious and flavorful! I can't wait to try more of their selections during my next visit!

Authentic Greek cuisine nestled among office parks in Brentwood! I came on a quiet Sunday. Though the restaurant was empty, I left full and satisfied. After ordering at the counter, for the main course, I had the Gyros Platter. The rice was moist and flavorful. The gyro meat was a tad dry and thinly sliced. But the two balanced well. The tabouli (parsley based) salad added some zest and freshness to the dish. The baklava was a sweet and ended the meal well. A very good option for a work lunch, takeout, or casual meal.

This is my go-to no-frills gyro joint when I'm in the Brentwood/Franklin area. Here's what I love most about this place: - Incredibly fast service, even during peak times (like noon, when I came today!) - Quality, fresh ingredients (even when I've come here close to closing, the salad isn't soggy and the gyro meat is heated fresh on the grill.) Nothing is overly oily or dripping with fat, like other places I've been to. - They always give me extra tzatziki on the side when I ask for it - CLEAN restaurant that is good for a casual dine-in (which is huge for me have seen such gross dining rooms at other gyro places in the area.) I only ever order the gyro platter (and sometimes their cheesecake, which is premade and comes frozen but it's strangely some of the best cheesecake I've had.) Today I strayed from my regular dessert and got a a free baklava (which you can also get if you check into the restaurant on Yelp)! It was clearly homemade, not too sweet, and might have to replace my love of their cheesecake! Plentiful parking here and a popular place for folks to grab lunch for folks working in the area (so I tend to always get food to-go around lunch time because seating becomes scarce!) Easy choice if you need a gyro fix!

Always enjoy Mediterranean Food and this Greek Cafe Grill did not disappoint. Casual, quiet and inviting ambiance accompanied by perfectly grilled chicken kabobs and fresh sides, what more could you want? I observed several patrons picking up take away. The first thing I noticed when I stepped into Greek Cafe Grill was the relaxing vibe! I expected a hole in the wall, mom and pop type shop, but the decor and music provided a calming, chill atmosphere. The menu is your typically fast causal greek- I ordered the gyro wrap with tabouleh and I was blown away! The meat was flavorful, the pita was soft, and the veggies were fresh. I visited during a weekday lunch and my to-go order was ready in about 5 minutes. I'll definitely be back to try the appetizers! read more

Awful! The chicken kebabs were DRY the tabouli salad lacked any type of wetness. It tastes like straight parsley, onions and a tiny bit of tomato. The dipping sauce taste like straight Greek yogurt, water down. I highly suggest you find another place to try Greek/Mediterranean food. We were greatly disappointed with what we received a complete waste of money. read more

We arrived at 7:45 (closing time listed as 8:30). When we went to order at 7:50, the staff told us they actually close at 8:20 and asked if that was okay. When I asked if that meant we had to be out by 8:20, they confirmed--because they close "exactly at 8:30." Not wanting to be rushed, we left without ordering. If you want to enjoy your meal at a normal pace, make sure to arrive well before closing. read more

Gave it 2 star solely because of the salad/ dressing which was the only item I had a good flavor and that was palatable. Everything tasted reheated and not even close to authentic. The gyro portions were very small of which 1/2 was overcooked and had absolutely no flavor other than crispy and burnt. Rice was so greasy and the taziki lacked any flavor. Staff was not welcoming at all and seemed made you were there. Save your money and definitely skip this place read more

Was not what we were expecting. Out of town guests so went by reviews. We got the "shawarma" family meal. The chicken was not real shawarma. Was literally just chopped chicken breast with onions and green peppers. The yogurt dip was flavorless. The salad was okay but odd. It came with pepperoncini on it. Was $48 and not worth it. If youbpull into the parking lot and don't see alot of cars don't turn away thinking the food might not be good. It just means you will be the first in line for great food and great service. I had the gyro platter. Lots of very tasty meat and savory greek rice, a tender pita and small Greek side salad. Wife had the Greek salad with gyro. Once again great salad with plenty of tender meat. Our friends both had gyro sandwiches and both loved them. So the next time you in the area be sure to stop in for a great meal and service. read more

Cheapo food... Do not expect high quality. I ordered the "house made fresh lemonade" and it was watered down powder mix. Need I say more? Okay, the rice was over seasoned to the point of it being unhealthy. The "salad" was not fresh and not dressed. No dressing options or dressing on the side included. Perhaps if you live here in Brentwood this is good food on your scale but beyond Tennessee this is unacceptable. read more

Came twice in a week. Nice, reasonably quiet place with friendly staff and good food. Prices are reasonable. Will likely be one a regular visit for us. Get the appetizer plate with falafel, hummus, and baba ganoush and you won't be sorry. read more

I've been here several times lately. Let me just say - I come here either for the pour over or to…read morebuy beans. I do think the food is better than that of most coffee shops, but I don't actually eat the food often. I've found the service to be good and for the staff to be friendly, but they only have one register, so the line may be a bit long if they are busy. It can be a bit loud, it it's a pleasant place to sit and drink coffee. The Well will normally have three pour over choices that are from their limited time offered beans. They see very fruity and flavorful, and I really enjoy that kind of coffee. They make them right where you can see them do it, and It's fun to watch the process. I've often come to try the pour over only to later buy a bag of beans for home. When you do, you get a free 12 ounce drip coffee. However, to be honest, the drip offerings seem rather mediocre to me. I would not go there to buy the batch drip coffee. I do know they have a good cappuccino, though. I debated lowering the rating when I thought about their main medium roast blend on drip - Confluence. They had a blend of Ethiopian and Kenyan beans, and it was some of the best coffee I ever had. Now, they've rotated to a blend of beans from Ethiopia and New Guinea. I bought a bag thinking it would be similar to what I had before, but it just wasn't anywhere near as good, unless you brew it as espresso. However, it's really the pour over that I drink here, so I'm keeping the eating at five stars.

The inviting space is great for a small meeting amongst colleagues or friends, but can also provide a cozy study corner. The house espresso is smooth and balanced. The most unique seasonal coffee menu item is the fygge newton - I order mine with almond milk which is perfectly sweet and nutty.

I guess the 5,000 church members provide sufficient patronage to keep business booming, but anyone is welcome to dine here and you can relax unbothered for hours. It's in a small shopping center at the north limits of the Crieve Hall neighborhood. You can normally find a parking spot in the lot or if you know someone in the neighborhood, walking is an option too. Walk in and order at the counter. Be sure to check the available bagels that day AND any specials, especially the cinnamon bun special. Every time I have been, the staff has been extremely helpful as you navigate the choices. (note - there is a separate window outside to pickup online orders, delivery orders etc. so that helps with inside congestion). There is almost always a line but it moves quickly. On my last visit, they had just completed the March Madness bracket and were featuring the Cheddar bagel with chive cream cheese- $1. As I said, always check the special! They will feature some interesting coffees, bagels varieties and let's talk about the Cinnamon Roll. The first time I sampled the Cinnamon Roll special it was a blueberry pancake version, imagine an amazing cinnamon roll(yes, it's sweet but not overly and has great flavor), with blueberries and cream on top! The only downside is they are very large, but that means you get one to share with your people. Their bagels are really good! You can eat them plain or get some spread for them. (note that bulk bagel orders are not sliced). They also have breakfast sandwiches. To top it off, this has the feel of a real neighborhood spot. Plenty of folks greeting each other, friends connecting, families gathering. Indoor seating with books for the wee folks and some outdoor tables too. It is clearly descriptive, at the same time, it's a name of an entire food category translated into a restaurant name. In reality, the restaurant is a mix of Greek and Lebanese influences. The gyro platter is one of the more popular items. The gyro itself is served with a sauce over it and generally enjoyable. The tabbouleh is the real disappointment, parsley is clearly not washed well, so the entire salad is full of crunchy sand. Basically, inedible. The chefs must not have tried it. Lastly, the hummus is ok, but extremely acidic and felt off balance. That might be a matter of taste however. Inside, the establishment is clean and casually decorated. Mediterranean Cuisine is clearly a family run business with kind and pleasant staff working, preparing some solid food, but also does not need some extra attention in the kitchen to make the dishes something worth returning for.

I loved Tacos 4 Life and ate there every trip I made to Brentwood....so I sat on it and didn't visit for a while once they opened. I wasn't sure if I wanted to enter because I didn't want to be disappointed because it *wasn't* Tacos 4 Life. Then I decided to visit. As it turns out all that drama and anticipated disappointment was completely unfounded. Once I walked in the door and looked around I said (quite audibly) "Holy WOW!" This is far more than a deli. I'm going to call it a Hyper Deli. There are refrigerated cases with just about any soft drink or energy drink you can imagine, and some I'm sure you've never heard of. A LOT of them, all neatly arranged and front-facing. It's this kind of attention to detail that makes this place stand out. There are just about as many varieties and bags of chips as there are soft drinks, all neatly arranged for ease of choice. If Soup is what you're looking for, there are six soups offered daily. And then there's the Deli case. This is a very impressive array of fresh produce, build-your-own-salad parts and pieces, deli meats and cheeses, side dishes, and individually packaged desserts, fresh fruits and veggies in portable snack containers. The menu board boasts an impressive selection of basically everything. The Coffee Bar, the Juice Bar, Breakfast items, Signature sandwiches, Burgers, and Tacos & mas! Seriously, if you don't see something you like on this menu board, do you really need it? The items on the menu board aren't priced...we'll come back to that shortly. 51st Deli is an order at the counter place. You can pay cash, tap to pay, credit card. After you pay you can take a seat or you can stand around and be in someone's way while you wait for your food. For my first visit I had to have tacos (yes, it was a Tuesday). One steak, one chicken, one chorizo...and, of course, a side of chips and salsa and a fountain drink. About 10 minutes later they called my order. The first thing I noticed is that the chips and salsa weren't so much a side as they were basically another entree...not that I'm complaining. The salsa was really, REALLY good and the chips were made fresh in the store. There are a couple bottles of store-made salsa for adding a little heat and flavor to your meal, each with its own unique taste and comfortably spicy. The tacos were all super tasty and served hot over corn tortillas (the way tacos should be served) with nothing but cilantro and onion. It made my tummy smile. This delightful meal was actually pretty reasonable. Before tip it was about $20, which I think is a pretty fair price. With no prices on the menu board I didn't know what to expect and was ready to pay a King's Ransom, but in the end it was just tacos so Jim's wallet was happy. I didn't expect to see 51st Deli merchandise, but *boom* there it was! Shirts, hats, koozies, bags. This surprised and impressed Jim. My visits to Brentwood have also come to include a visit to 51st Deli for breakfast as well. They have Jalapeño bagels and store-made Jalapeño cream cheese, which is (according to science) the absolute best way to start my day. Well, that and an iced vanilla latte. The staff here is always on the move cleaning and stocking. It's always clean, I've never seen trash overflowing, and tables are cleared soon after customers leave. This is definitely a restaurant -- excuse me, Hyper Deli -- that values the guest experience. 51st Deli should be everywhere, and it's a failure of mankind that it isn't.

With seating for 108, including 80 indoors and 28 outdoors, this spacious dining room has the perfect atmosphere for a neighborhood deli. And the drink selection is striking when you walk in, walls of everything you could imagine including water, carbonated beverages, energy drinks, and alcoholic beverages. They carry most of my favorites like Poppi, Jarritos, Olipop, Fanta, Gatorade, everything we enjoy except Ice brand drinks. And it must be noted that rhe hoagie bread is beautifully chewy and fresh. Cons: My order was totally botched. I received a massive burrito when I ordered the Italian sub. It wasn't even close. It took a few minutes but the order was eventually corrected. The provolone and ham were of questionable quality, but the pepperoni and salami were good. The Italian is supposed to have a sauce, but it was undetectable making the sandwich incredibly dry. And keep in mind you're paying $13 for a pretty small sandwich that's half lettuce and light on the meat. Once again, it's a good spot and I'd probably come back. But in a city full of great sandwiches, it's not an all-star.

I think I saw a review 2 years ago from Jackie S complaining about the orange chicken. Saying something stupid like if you removed the breading the chicken is bland. Well that's dumb. The breading and sauce is what orange chicken is all about. It is not my favorite but other people in my family rave about how delicious it is made here. Not once in the many years we have been have we ever been disappointed. Their wontons are the bomb! They have American favorites and also lots of traditional dishes. My boyfriend and I dine here about once a week -- and sometimes more often! The food is always fresh and tasty, and the restaurant is bright and sparkling clean. The staff at the Greek café is friendly and professional and they remember if you've been there more than once -- they treat you like a friend as opposed to a customer. The meats are always perfectly cooked and seasoned and the side items and desserts are also wonderful. You just cannot go wrong with anything you order in this cafe. HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

This Mediterranean Restaurant has the best tasting rice and tabouleh I've had. They serve a good amount of rice and meat, filling you up and leaving you satisfied. Usually, I don't like the tabouleh salad that mediterranean places serve, and I don't know what did the trick, but this place serves some gooood tabouleh. I ate here with my wife Wednesday night while in town for a conference. This place is so good, I came back on Friday to eat lunch. The food is very tasty and the owner & employees take great pride in preparing your food. The atmosphere is nice and extremely clean. The prices are great as well. Best authentic fresh Greek food in Nashville and Brentwood area. Been going here for years, food is always fire. Service is great, food preparation is very quick, food quality is outstanding. Food is at a great price for the amount of food you get, and it's extremely filling. Atmosphere is friendly and the vibe is cool. People making your food are extremely nice and professional. I work in the Brentwood area, and Greek Cafe is a MUST stop for me and my coworkers. When you walk in, you're met with a friendly smile and atmosphere. Everyone in the booths around the restaurant cant help but have their entire day turned around by elite greek cuisine. I went here today spur of the moment, but I have to say, the older gentleman that was working was above and beyond kind. I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the chicken gyro was. Also, the ranch dressing which he talked me into getting a side of for the rice was amazing. Great spot for an in and out little Mediterranean snack. I will be going here again. read more

One of my favorite go-to's for lunch in Maryland Farms, especially when I'm craving Greek food. All of the food is freshly prepared, the chicken is perfectly seasoned, and the grape leaves are awesome! Plus the staff is always really friendly. If you want great Greek food, skip the chain concept places and dine at this great local cafe. read more

This place has by far one of the best restaurants and has the best fresh Greek food in the Nashville area. They don't skimp; the portions are fat. The price is extremely low for the quality of food.
