Just ok. Friendly service and everything was prepared to order. The flavor was nothing to write home about. I had the lamb and beef gyro with fries. The fries were a bit undercooked for my liking but they did offer seasoning which I appreciated. The gyro was kind of bland although it was loaded with veggies and tzatziki sauce. There's booth seating available in the restaurant. Everything looked clean yet not in its best condition, or like it's still being fixed up. The floors were greasy. Restrooms are available for customers. Nothing is esthetically pleasing on the inside of this location. Not sure if I'll return but I may recommend for a quick low budget gyro option. read more

Always get a chicken shawarma togo and able to get in and out quickly. Food is always good and good people work there.

I ordered to-go and the plate was LOADED with chicken which I loved. The only thing I did not love was after the first bite of the chicken, it was not seasoned at all. Luckily I could season it myself at home, but I hope they add more seasoning to the chicken. The rice was good, the salad did not have enough lettuce, only cucumbers and lots of tomatoes. This restaurant is so good! If you love Mediterranean food as much as I do then this is a MUST VISIT! The chicken plate is my go to and let me tell you... oh goodness is my mouth watering just thinking about it. The chicken is so juicy, the rice is cooked to perfection and the Greek salad on the side adds that perfect crisp, cool, zesty bite your tongue craves. We stopped in here on a whim late at night. They were efficient and prices were decent. We ordered a gyro and a chicken wrap with a side of large fries. The gyro and chicken meat were delicious! The pita was on the soft side but held up to the gyro and chicken and had amazing flavor. The french fry was enormous for a large and we didn't even finish them. We love this place! The prices are great and so is the food. My wife always gets the gyro but I am a huge fan of their Philly cheese steak. It's near perfect and I definitely prefer it to Jersey Mike's. My only minor complaint is that the sub roll is a bit more hot dog bun like in consistency than I prefer, but that just tells you how good the sandwich is that it easy to overlook the bread (Jersey Mike's bread is more Philly appropriate, but the sandwich itself is no where near as solid as Kouzina's). I stopped by here on my way home two days in a row. There is plenty of parking and it's easy to get in and out which is always a plus for me. Seating is ample and the service is fast and friendly. I ordered the mix gyro wrap with fries and no soda. On Tuesday around 5pm it was pretty slow but on my most recent visit Thursday at 5pm there was a steady flow of customers who seemed to be regulars. I had five people ahead of me in line and I was out in under ten minutes. Portions are large and fresh. Well worth the stop if you're looking for a pretty basic but solid gyro. The decision today was gyros, burgers, or pizza. The choice is obvious. We were close by so decided to try Kouzina's. The place is conveniently located on the corner of a retail plaza with adequate parking. We both ordered the gyro combo (see pic) and shared a piece of baklava. I wish I would have removed the wrapper from the gyro so you could see how much meat was in it. It was packed to the limit. The baklava was good but not great. I love trying new restaurants and Tony and I noticed this new Restaurant a few weeks ago, and we thought "Why NOT"...so we wanted to try them out. When I went inside to get the food to go, I explained to the two men behind the counter it was my first visit to their new establishment. I found out they were serving Greek Food so I explained I don't order Greek Food very often so I wasn't sure what to order and asked for suggestions. I ended up ordering their version of a Philly Sub but in a Gyro wrap served with two salads and then a Combo plate with 2 salads, rice and Lamb gyro..so Tony and I could split them. It was smelled very good. I placed our order to go so we could go home and enjoy and share. He added Cucumber Sauce on the side so we could have extra. Well we enjoyed the food. I loved the salads and I loved the lamb. It was so tender! The cucumber sauce was very good and sort of thick like yogurt/ feta mixture. I loved it !!! I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!! If you get a chance to go here, its a must !! I will be honest I am not an expert on Greek Food but it was good to me! read more

I have been eating here for years. This past week November 27th 2023 I experienced food poisoning after eating here. I got my usual #15 with both side salads. Good gyros. I went here after a friend suggested this place. He usually does the falafel sandwich so he did not know how their meats taste. On seeing the place from outside you'd expect it to be a tiny place with lots of tables stuffed together but kouzina cafe is exactly the opposite. The employees are very helpful and kind and assist you with what you want to get. I got the kouzina spl sandwich. It had both gyro and chicken with freshly sliced veggies some fries and a drink for $7.95. Not a bad deal for the price. The bread was well baked and fresh and so were all the veggies that went into my sandwich. They also have kids meals which is good for families walking in with their kids. The also take orders on the phone in case you are running late and would like to order in. I'd be back sometime soon to try the gryo sandwich by itself. For the fries I'm not getting them again, because one, I'm not a fries person and second they have to be outstanding for me to order them again. read more

I am addicted to gyros! Well FOOD in general but gyros holds a special place in my tummy lol... I seen the reviews and had to come here as this place is close to me, it has amazing seating area not to mention the smell going on in my car from this food is intoxicatingly good. The two gentlemen working were absolutely friendly and the service is one of the best customer service I have received in Tennessee so that says a lot! I wish Yelp would go to a decimal rating system because Kouzina is truly smack dab between a 3 and a 4. Not a bad little place tucked away on the south side, and appreciated for its authenticity by Middle Eastern residents of Nashville. The lamb is a little dry but tasty. The fries and optional seasoning are fantastic! The tabouli is very good and the rice is perfect. You can pick your toppings just like a sub sandwich shop, so load up with all the tasty offerings. If you're not Arabic, they'll default to the popular American choices of ranch dressing and cheddar cheese on your dish, so speak up and request the much more flavorful and authentic tzatziki sauce and feta cheese! I like to come to this place about 3 to 4 times a month and almost everything about them is amazing the only downside is that when they are preparing your food the don't slow down and often end up putting the wrong thing on your plate and I have watched this happen to several other customers so I know it's not just me. read more
