Having a Greek restaurant in this location isn't new, but this specific Greek Express is a bit newer option. The order of the small pita sandwich with falafel was a good size. The falafel had a great texture and was nicely complemented by the sauce and veggie toppings. Fries, ordered separately, were perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Gyros are the most popular item. Vegetarian items like falafel are available too. It would be nice if the falafel was good. It's about $10 for a combo meal including a drink and side. The falafel is still the same way. It's raw on the inside. It's burnt to a crisp on the outside. They are also really thin. Also these fall apart easily. There is also not much taste. Other menu items strangely include the Chicago hot dogs. What kind of Greek food is that. If you were here when it was Acropolis you're not missing anything better. It's pretty much the same food. The food and prices are pretty good. The restaurant itself is very clean and very nicely decorated. There's a separate hall, before you enter the main dining room, for the bathrooms. The cool thing about this place is that there's a drive-through! There's plenty of tables inside and parking in the back, you just have to keep driving. We got the gyro combo and gyro meat and rice entree (all about $17). I really liked the gyro, it was classic tasting and the fries were crispy and big. I recommend getting their gyro meats because it's pretty flavorful and yummy. Their portions are pretty filling as well. This is a good place for a casual meals, family meals, and casual dates. I'm a big fan of the Greek Express family. The food is tasty, fresh, and pretty fast. They have great fries, made even better if you dunk them into the House Sauce! I like the gyros, either with chicken or vegetarian. They have a great falafel appetizer, which makes a tasty dinner with fries (sensing a theme?). The chicken and rice is a nice dinner, which juicy chicken on a bed of rice, and topped with fresh veggies if you ask. They also pass out dog treats in the drive-thru, so my dog is a fan as well. Hit the spot when I was searching for Greek and many places were closed on a Sunday. I ordered through the drive through. I got a gyro and rice entree with a side salad and extra pita for hubs. He made it into 2 gyros. I had a regular gyro and got my daughter chicken nuggets. She actually enjoyed my gyro so maybe I'll get that for her next time. While i traditionally am an easier grader of eateries, especially during this time in our history, I must pause to make this simple remark. i visited this establishment about a couple weeks ago: gyro, dessert, calamari, with a coke to go. I gyro was awesome as it had plenty of everything (!), very tasty that I am glad I ordered two. I don't recommend the calamari as it was like eating a rubber band, the coke was flat. So, why a lower score? I am not used to being insulted by an attendant when I asked a simple question regarding (calamari) the menu. Not only was the young ladies abrasive remark unexpected, but she went on to respond to others (guest/co-worker) challenging my ability to question weather if the calamari was fresh. If I had not been in shock I would have canceled this order and gone to other locations that dot this area within my walking distance! I will leave to you to choose to frequent this location, but as for me, it will be a long day between my visiting again read more

This place was formerly Acropolis, but it is still owned by the same people. I've been coming here since high school, and although the name has changed, the food is basically the same. It's pretty comparable to the Greek Express' you will find elsewhere in town with a fairly large menu and a convenient drive thru for anyone on the go. I usually dine in here, and go with a gyro meal with fries, and you really can't go wrong. The meal is fairly cheap, and I usually go with a medium or large, but the mini size gyros are pretty big themselves, so you definitely won't be leaving hungry. I highly recommend getting the fries and dumping on the seasoning they provide. They're impossible to put down. While it may not be the very best gyro I've ever had, or even the best gyro in Columbus, it's a solid meal at an affordable price, and it's a step above most fast food in the area. If you're used to driving past here and seeing Acropolis, don't worry, because you're still getting the same food you've enjoyed for the past 20 years. read more

Great tasting, delicious Gyros for a great price. The gyros here are really great! The meat is fresh and not dried out. There is just the right amount of toppings. The dressing taste great, flavorful, and they are not skimpy with it either. I like my gyros juicy and they do a great job of making it perfectly. The fries are crispy and seasoned just right. Order: #7 combo - gyro, fries and a drink $7.49. The drinks have free refills but the dispenser is behind the counter which is a bit strange. So you have to ask for a refill. The bathrooms and the dining room are always kept clean. This one of my favorite places in Columbus to get a great gyro. read more

A delicious option for quick, drive thru, take out. It's become one of our top 5 places to hit up on the way home when we don't want to cook dinner, and we don't want the usual drive thru options. The fries!!! They're made fresh to order and smoking hot when you get them. So delicious. My 6 yr old says "they're just the right amount of soft and crunchy!" I have yet to have something from the menu I didn't like, which is always a plus. I'd give it a 4 in comparison to other local Greek places. Got some to go during Covid. It was fast and hot. The Beef Kabob was my favorite part. It had lots of flavor and was cooked medium. Which is great because usually that kind of steak is well done. The Falafel and Greek salad tasted fresh. My only complaint is that everything came with an average tasting ranch. This is standard fast food Greek style. My most recent visit, I ordered a mini gyro and Greek salad combo. The mini gyro is pretty small, but it's the right amount of food for me. The Greek salad comes with quite a bit of dressing, so I actually put some of it on my gyro. I wish the tomatoes and cucumbers were diced so that they would go farther into more bites of salad, but other than that, it was really good. My salad came with 1 black olive. I don't like them, so it was easy to pick off, but if you like olives, you might have to ask for more! The restroom was clean and our service was quick. For 5 freaking dollars, a tiny cup of their chicken soup that tasted like bullion and about 5 tiny pieces of overcooked chicken. The Philly meat, onions and peppers were so burnt beyond belief, I couldn't even eat it. The flavor of burnt food was so strong, it destroyed my sandwich. Holy crap do they take FOREVER to get your food to you. Criminey. Good report: Onion rings and the seasoned fries. THAT IS IT. I spent almost $40 for fries and onion rings. What a joke. This place is my go to when I'm craving quick Greek food. I always get the chicken gyro which is tasty and a decent amount of food for the price. It comes with just lettuce, tomato and onion which means feta is extra. But it's usually pretty flavorful so I don't really miss the cheese. Recently I started adding the teriyaki sauce to it which is sooooo good. Their side Greek salad comes with a tasty dressing and the veggies seem pretty fresh. I am so glad i started going back to this location. I completed my order online with tip, so easy. My husband got his go to takeout sliced gyro meat on rice, 6 dolmades that we split, and i got chicken kebobs on rice with grilled veggies. Okay, so it's a fast food Greek place, I know not to expect the highest quality, but I was hoping for something a little better. The spinach and feta pie was soggy, greasy and personally, I thought tasted too much like grape leaves instead of feta and spinach. The Greek salad was okay. You can't really screw that up, but the way it was tossed together looked like they really just don't care. Unfortunately, they close at 9:30pm M-Sat.
