I stopped in and placed an order for take out. The interior was clean and they weren't super busy for dinner time. I ordered quickly, and it took 10-15 mins for the order to be completed. The gyros are always delicious even though I get the tuna melt on sourdough EVERY TIME- I always have a bite of my SO gyro because of the tziki sauce. Really fast service! I used to eat there 4 times a week when it was the only drive through during lunch. They have a humongous bean & cheese burrito that I'm sure weights 2 pounds each time I have eaten it. The Bacon Cheeseburger here is very well sized and is a real bargain at $6.85. I have found that the burger is the only reason to drop by here from time to time. This place is definitely my favorite fast casual Greek place in Winston! Service is always quick, food always has the same great quality, good sized portions and the prices are great. My favorite dish is the chicken souvlaki platter, but I also love their Greek Salad pita with chicken. Their house made dressing is my absolute favorite AND I just saw that they now sell it in a bottle! My husband usually gets the gyro with a side of coleslaw, but he's also had the pork souvlaki platter and the burger with chili. We ordered from Greek Guy's Grill recently and were disappointed with most of the food. The hummus was made fresh, but was bland and the consistency was not as smooth as we expected. We felt that adding garlic, oil, and seasoning would have done wonders for these blended chickpeas. The spanakopita was literally the worst I have ever had; I found it inedible and just threw it away. The french fries were decent, but did not have the seasoning we are used to having on our fries when we order from Greek places. Their saving grace is that their gyros and tzatziki sauce were delicious! Separately, we used the Grubhub delivery service and it was terrible. Been coming here for years. One of the best spots in town for a quick Greek gyro or souvlaki. They also have other diner options like sandwiches, wraps, salads and pasta dishes. Got the usual lamb gyro which is always delicious with a side of coleslaw. My wife got her usual chicken souvlaki plate with pita and Greek salad. Definitely recommend this place. What is this?! How is this considered lamb?! This is an insult to lamb and good Greek food. They need take this pre-sliced spam looking meat and feed it to the dogs. I was VERY disappointed. Visited GGG on a Friday for lunch. They had a nice little crowd. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. Both women who I interacted with at the counter were. . . curt. Certainly not friendly nor welcoming. I ordered the All Three and Greek Salad. The food came out relatively quickly. The meal included the following: Greek Salad: dressing was good but I don't care for a shredded lettuce salad. Lots of feta which I appreciate. Pork & Chicken Souvlaki: very juicy with great flavor Tzatziki sauce: just kinda plopped on the plate. Not terribly attractive. Tasted good with the pita and with the souvlaki Spanakopita: what I was most looking forward to; major let down. phyllo was too soft and the bottom was squishy like it had been reheated in a microwave. Flavor was ok but texture was off to me. I would return and get the souvlaki and might try some of the other items on the menu. read more

Their Greek food is less than mediocre, the tzatziki sauce is actually terrible! Chicken skewers in their pictures are not on skewers and grilled, just pieces of chicken thrown on the griddle, no flavor. We got a cheesesteak sandwich; they put the meat in the sandwich and they slap the cheese on top instead of putting it on the meat and let it melt on the griddle, still, It actually tastes better than their Greek chicken! When we called the location to discuss our dissatisfaction the Manger got rude and said he knew from our accent we were from up north and we get what they serve and obscenity was used by the manager. The food here is really good! Was out working and passed by it on the way to my destination. Thought, hmmm. Some Greek food would be tasty. I'll stop by on the way back. Glad I did. I usually go to a spot in Greensboro called Jack's Corner and since being in Winston, have found it difficult to find a replacement. It's a stand-alone building with plenty of parking. It's 2:00 and not busy. Peeped the menu before going in, so I'd have an idea of what I wanted. Spotted the gyro on the menu and knew that's what I wanted. Ordering was fine and straightforward. The gyro is 6 bucks and it says u can add a side for $2. (Fries, cucumber, etc) I asked if a Greek salad could be my side, the lady says yes. Somehow 6+2=$10 but whatever. Wash my hands in the clean bathroom (careful, u can make tea with that hot water) and grab a squat in the equally clean dining area. The lady brings my food and presentation is excellent. The salad tastes very fresh and the dressing is delish. The gyro? Fire! (That's good) Good flavor and ingredients. Could've added another piece of meat but maybe I'm just greedy. Had water to drink and it tasted like water. Real silverware and real plates. Oh! They have music playing too and I even heard some Rob Base (showing my age) which was a plus. Overall, very pleased with this spot. Good food, clean and authentic. A little pricey at $10 for a gyro and salad, but that's what I get for trying to be slightly healthy I guess. $8 is fair, but I be won't complain too much. I picked up a gyro to go while I was in the area. Service was fast. The gyro was ok. It had a lot of sauce on it.The sauce was ok. They also use green onions which were different but I like red ones better since they offer more of a crunch. I was saddened to see that meat was not sliced off of a spit but pre sliced meat was used. I think it was the frozen kind you can buy at the store. The Gyros is a combination of sliced lamb & beef in a pita with lettuce, tomato, and a tzatziki sauce which is the key ingredient. We were not dissapointed, it was amazing! My son had a chili cheeseburger which he loved. The strawberry shake was fresh, thick and creamy. The baklava was OK, it seemed frozen from the box and not fresh. The place has decent amount of seating, amble parking and the pictures around remind you of how beautiful Greece is. They have a big menu of pitas, sandwiches, burritos, pasta, salads and of course Greek plates. We will be back! read more

New place. So they still have a few things left to take care of like adding the desserts they have on the menu. So far they only have Baklava. The Lemonade on the Menu is really Pink Lemonade, and that is just run of the mill. I had the Cod Sandwich which wasn't bad, Potato Salad was like taking 1 part of mildly spicy pimento cheese and adding 2 parts of diced potatoes and mixing well. Different. As was the Spanakopita and that was pretty much on par with Athena's maybe not quite as good but a different flavor just a bit more exotic tasting. It was served lukewarm and I think it would have been better hot. They have a LOT of other things on the menu including a large selection of American dishes. Tried the breakfast burrito and I was expecting a lil tiny thing like Mcnasty but this thing was gargantuan!! I was like, how the heck am I supposed to eat all of this!?!? I got the one with sausage and while it was good, the potatoes were overwhelming and didn't have any flavor to them. It also had salsa on it but there wasn't nearly enough to taste. I would recommend less potatoes, more salsa but it was already literally bursting at the seams, so better not add anything more. I had grits as a side and the butter I was given gave the grits a funny taste. So I recommend using your own butter if you happen to take your meal home. I have also tried the hot dog all the way(Chilli, mustard, onions, slaw). While the actual wiener was flavorful, overall it was wayyyyy too salty. Couldn't really taste anything other than the wiener and mustard. I got one for a friend and their comment was the same.
