    Greek salad and spanakopita combo
    Patricia F.

Stopped by on Friday for a quick lunch and lucky for us it was not busy. I had the salad and spanakopita combo. Salad was excellent, did not love the spanakopita. I feel like it was lacking a bit of feta. Hubby had the gyro sandwich and fries. The sandwich was huge and full of flavor. Service was efficient but not overly friendly. I would definitely go again if in the area.

Our regular Wednesday night dinner group decided to try the Greek Islands Restaurant this week. WINNER! WINNER! We ordered the saganaki (flaming cheese), Greek salad (included with the entrees), chicken shish-ka-bob, and mousaka. Every thing we ordered was absolutely delicious. The Greek salad is the gold standard by which all Greek salads should strive to be. The main course portions of chicken shish, which was accompanied by rice and french fries, was beautifully seasoned and perfectly cooked. I didn't taste the mousaka but my friends who had it were very happy. I will be recommending Greek Island and definitely returning!

Greek Islands in Largo was a nice treat. We specifically wanted the Greek Soup, & this is the place that had it close by to Clearwater Beach. It was simple and warm, and that's what we wanted at the time. We also got our favorite saganaki flaming cheese. It's good, yet it's so small and we eat it in a second This restaurant has inside and quite a bit of outside shaded seating. We came late so we were the only ones in the restaurant. Definitely social distancing, hand sanitizer, and masks were followed!

This is a family place. They take out, catering, outdoor dining and indoor dining. We had the pork Souvlakia which was perfectly seasoned served with a Greek salad with a dollop of Potato salad, along With pita bread and tzasiki. We also had the gyro in pita bread loaded with fresh meat, tomatoes, lettuce and homemade tzasiki sauce. Everything was so darn good I forgot to take pictures. The staff is all in compliance with COVID rules.

What a nice little place to go! There are many things to compliment about this place but I'll start with the bad to get it out of the way... One: parking here is atrocious, the spots are way to close together and there aren't that many spots if you go when it's a busy time. Two: the service here, at least the waiters we had, seemed to not like their jobs and two different ones asked our drink order and then never showed up again with the drinks. When our waitress, for the rest of the meal, came over she was still empty handed but waiting and ready for us to order. We had to remind her about the drinks twice! The good now! I orederd the gyro platter and it was very generous with the portion of the meat! The meat was seasoned perfectly, not overly peppery or overpowering in general! The salad it came with was great as well but a little over dressed unfortunately. Great food but the service definitely left a lot to be desired! May possibly give it another chance but not too sure if I will...

We were in the mood for Greek food after working out, so yelped our location and came here since reviews seemed consistent. Our server, Tina was excellent! Friendly, efficient, attentive and personable. Food was delicious! The Avgolemono soup was a bit thicker than I am accustomed to, but flavorful with a fair amount of rice. The saganaki was perfect: light, tasty and delicious ( sorry, no photo of it aflame!) The spinach pie was not the usual multi layer flakey crust with lots of cheese; they didn't call it spanakopita, but it was yummy ( and reheated well for dinner!) Greek salad was light and not overly saturated with dressing: perfect with potato salad topper. The sautéed chicken strips were perfectly seasoned, moist and served over rice with a variety of vegetables, and fantastic with the accompanying bread. Lastly, the souvlaki platter was also delicious with Tzatziki sauce and pita. Food all perfectly cooked with good sized portions ( and lots of leftovers). A great neighborhood find with excellent food, service and price.

Price on here is $8.50 gif the Gyro Platter. Got to the restaurant and it was $16. Big difference. Don't post an inaccurate menu.

So good we came back for dinner the same day! A stone's throw away from our hotel, this cute…read morerestaurant has delicious fresh scratch made Mediterranean food! We liked everything we ordered-baba ghannouj, labneh, kisir (their bread comes out toasty and warm-our girls had 2nds and would have had 3rds if we allowed them). Gyro platter main was great, but their yogurt gyro platter was much richer with tomato umami. The cheese roll and borek were delicious as well as the lentil soup. Don't skip dessert (semolina cake à la mode with plenty of cinnamon and nuts)! Recommend getting a seat outside so you can watch the ocean and the jealous birds-great even with the light drizzle around us. Great service and a must stop for the next time we are in sand key.

This week I visited Clearwater Florida for the first time, and Mio's Grill & Cafe was recommended…read moreby me to a friend who has visited Clearwater many times, and said to me that this restaurant was a "must visit" during my time here (and they were right). We sat outside during our meal and the ambiance and feel of the restaurant was very welcoming! As for entrees, I ordered the Chicken Gyro Platter which was very well made, seasoned perfectly, and presented very well. The chicken was very well seasoned along with it being perfectly cooked, and the Rice Pilaf was the same. Overall nothing I would change about this dish and I would recommend ordering it. Next, one of the people in my party ordered the Chicken Gyro Salad which they loved. Same as my dish, the chicken was cooked perfectly. It was also mentioned that the lettuce was extremely fresh which is always great to see. The last two members of our party ordered the Beef/Lamb Gyro Salad which they loved. Again the meet was cooked very well and the lettuce was extremely fresh and overall they both loved their meal. (We did also order the Baklava for dessert which was fantastic as well) To finish, our service was top tier and our server Tayfun was extremely attentive throughout our entire dining experience and was very friendly! Amazing 10/10 dining experience and would most definitely come here again and recommend to others!
