Great meal! Strip mall location adjacent to Countryside Mall. Order at the counter, they bring the food to the table. Service is friend, quick and attentive. There are about 10 tables for inside dining plus a few umbrella covered tables outside. Greek salads are big, fresh and authentic. Complete with a scoop of potato salad in the center, Tarpon Springs style. Lettuce is adorned with diced beets, onion, quartered cukes, chick peas and sprinkled with feta. Served with warm pita bread. We paired one with chicken, one with gyro meat and one with falafel. Hard to decide which was better because they're all very good. Love this place! We come here often and always have a great experience. My go-to is the chicken pita wrap, it is very filling and is packed with chicken. The food is tasty, fresh, and they are typically pretty quick too. I came in for lunch today and was really excited to try the falafel pita and side of fries. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was super friendly. Unfortunately, the food didn't really meet expectations. The fries had no flavor or seasoning. Maybe I should have ordered the feta fries instead. My falafel pita was good but I've definitely had better. The pita itself was a little dry and I was expecting a dressing on the side (it was unfortunately left out). Food was cold and very salty not worth it better to go to the sponge docks for greek food

I was not impressed, maybe I had my hopes too high since it was close to my place and I could walk but the Gyro meat felt like spicy ground beef to me and the menu enticed me into the Feta fries. Ya, not a fan. They were soggy and not spiced fries with some shredded feta cheese sprinkled on top. Each fry I took, the cheese dropped off. I went at about 7:00 pm on a week night and the place was crowded, I stood in line to order, not long. Most of the inside tables were taken and a few outside tables were occupied. I decided to get my order to go because, although I did not see evidence, I felt the place was dirty. Everything was super salty. The falafel, the lemon rice soup, and the salmon (it wasn't terrible. Fresh, but lathered in oil even though it was grilled). My wife got the green nachos and they had a weird drizzle on them. The salad was pretty good otherwise and the tzatziki was good. I was literally in the neighborhood picking up a shopping order nearby when I did a quick search for restaurants nearby and this place came up. I'm a sucker for Greek food so decided to give it a try. Was greeted almost instantly upon entering by a friendly staff member. I hadn't really had much time to scour the menu so I went with my "go-to" choice for a greek restaurant, which is a greek salad and an order of Spanakopita (my ultimate favorite!). Decided to dine in. Grabbed a seat at one of the tables with my order # sign. Moments later, the food arrived. Food was spot on. Salad was a large portion and even came with chickpeas, which I'm not sure I've ever had in a greek salad, but it was still great. Very clean restaurant. Since I can't give two and a half, there's no way I'm giving three to this place. As many who read my posts already know, my queen bee lines Greek salads, and since we were in the area anyhoo... So she ordered her Greek salad, complete with dead lettuce and mediocre tater salad underneath a lackluster horiatikí. For those of you that are Hellenicaly challenged: that's what real Greek salad is...American menus call it a village salad: green peppers, cukes, red onion, chickpeas, diced beets, feta (shredded) and Greek style dressing. Bland as a bowl of oats...meh! I had a pick-two combo. As it remains Lenten days in Eastern Orthodox tradition: no meat. Enter lentil soup and falafel. Falafel patties tasted like they fell into the fryer from the back of the Sysco truck without passing Go or collecting $200. Lentil soup tasted more like lemon juice, vinegar and a few lentils rather than a composed dish. Mine is better by a mile and then some. Well, this'll probably mean that we ain't gonna be returning if these people don't get their A game back. As a consequence of Yelp check in, I was offered free feta fries. As a consequence of sitting here for a spell, I saw an order of them go by. As a consequence of seeing them go by, I'm glad I didn't bother. Shoestring Sysco fries and a small pile of industrial feta...just as the shredded sort, this stuff looked lousy and probably tasted no better. I found Greek City Café about 6 years ago in 2016. I knew almost immediately it was going to be one of my new favorite restaurants... I like Greek food! I like food with ZEST, AND SPICE AND FLAVOR!!! I lived in Chicago for 10 years and most of the Greek food I knew there was Greek Chicken with Greek Potatoes and Rice or GREAZY GYROS WITH GREAZY FRIES! I don't like greazy food as much as I did when I was younger, so when I found Greek City Café with it's FRESHER, HEALTHIER take on Greek style cooking, I was hooked. Today I got the Chicken Pita which I "platter-ized" to include a small Greek salad and a drink. The Chicken Pita is basically a gyro with chicken instead of lamb and beef. Greek City Café have their own yogurt Tzatziki Sauce and the Pita is way good! Surprisingly, I really like their Greek Salad too. I remember seeing a poster on the wall that said "Our salad has 19 fresh ingredients!" Mixed greens, feta cheese, tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers, beets, chickpeas, pepperoncini, onions, olives, potato salad, and "famous" Greek dressing. I have been a meat and potatoes guy most of my life, but now that I'm a little older and wiser, I actually try to eat healthful food occasionally. And sometimes, I ACTUALLY LIKE IT! The salad is DEEP with healthy, nourishing goodness. I like all of it (except the olives- I can't do olives!) even the beets and tomatoes. I really feel as though I have done my body a favor after eating here. The least healthful thing I consume at Greek City Café is the Coke. They DO have French Fries on the menu, and a few other GREAZY looking food items. But I will stick with my favorites and continue to feel good about it. read more

I tried Greek City Cafe for the first time yesterday. It was late, I was tired, and I just wanted carry-out. I have been wanting to try Greek City for a while, so yesterday was the day. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor dining is a bit small, so people waiting for carry-out are somewhat in the way. I had the Feta Chicken Wrap; it came with homemade chips. The wrap and chips were excellent and the price was VERY reasonable, $8.99. I ordered a side of french fries because I prefer fries over chips; the fries weren't necessary because the chips were very good, but the fries were only $3.99. I will be going back again! read more

Talk about bang for your buck. Ordered pickup from here and it was so good. I love their Greek fries, but we opted for their greek nachos. They loaded up on those chips and those toppings. I got the Santorini bowl with Salmon and it's enough for two meals. The salmon was seasoned perfectly and the mix of the olives, rice, feta, and The rest of the toppings were so good. OMG! So good!! We were hungry, so after shopping at Kohls, we walked over to this cute little place and were so glad we did. I got the chicken pita and it was big, stuffed full of fresh diced onions and tomatoes, the chicken was cooked to perfection (moist, tender), and the tzatziki sauce was the most amazing I've had which took this pita to the max. *I ordered my lunch through UberEats* I decided to have my food delivered for lunch today and Greek sounded good. I decided to try their Steak City Wrap with a side of their Feta Fries. Overall, the food came in a relatively short amount of time and the price was decent (around $12 for both). The delivery guy was nice and the food was hot and fresh. The food was very good with my favorite being the aioli sauce that came with the wrap. The feta fries were ok so they were my least favorite part. The wrap was very good - the cheese was melty goodness and the meat and veggies were tasty. The wrap came with the chips (not sure what they are) and they were a pleasant surprise. At first, they don't taste like much but as you chew, the subtle flavors come out. I definitely liked the wrap dipped in with the aioli sauce. The fries were nothing to go crazy about but they weren't bad either. The feta dill sauce was pretty good. Overall, my lunch was great. Next time, I might try to be a bit more adventurous and sample some of their other more "Greek" options but there is nothing wrong with sticking to what you know and love already!
