We came here for a last minute dinner in Indian Rocks Beach. Here's what we thought. Atmosphere: The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating options. It was nicely decorated on the inside. It was nice and clean. Service: We were seated right away for a table of 4 on a Friday night. The lady on the phone recommended a restaurant but we definitely did not need one. I'm not sure if it's busier on other weekends but it seems you can walk in and easily get a table. All the staff was so friendly! Food: We got their 'Homemade Rolled Cheese Pies' as an appetizer. We really liked them. They were flavorful and not greasy. The tzatziki had delicious flavor. I got their 'Lamb Casserole' dish for my entree, it was good but I think the dough that covered the dish was too burnt. The food is very good for the area! The prices are a bit high but that seems to be normal for any restaurant near the beach. We did receive complimentary Turkish tea at the end of our meal which was a nice touch. We went in based on yelp reviews so thank you my fellow yelpers for your recommendations Walked in the restaurant and found this cute Little Place with decent amount of seating. But it was nice outside, so we decided to dine in alfresco. We started off with a baba ghanoush and their pizza bread is to die for. You must try their pizza bread!! Turkish Flame 5 Stars- This was a great find. Came to a wedding in Clearwater and I had a free day before flying back to New York. I usually trust the overall ratings on Yelp & Google and the reviews were spot on. We were greeted by Ece pronounced "AJ". She was amazing and I thought she was one of the owners. She was attentive, made great suggestions like our appetizer warm hummus. She took us through a dinner journey that made us want to try more dishes on the menu. Coincidentally, chef Bora hosted a Yelp Elite event recently and Ece told me all about it. She was very proud of the restaurant and we were treated to complimentary Turkish tea and Babaganusj. Portions are a good size, prices are fair, service was AMAZING, the restaurant is nicely decorated and has a beautiful copper ceiling, Turkish lamps and has a good number of tables indoor with a few tables outdoor. The restaurant is also very clean right down to the bathrooms. They also have about 5 parking spots available outside as parking seems to be a premium here. The menu is fairly extensive with appetizers, house specials, entrees, salads, sides, soups and desserts. They have both Turkish and American beverages. The chicken shish-kabob was very moist and tender. It was served in pita with rice and salad. For desert we had the Kunefe. Which was excellent. I highly recommend it. Coming from New York City, our Turkish restaurants set a high bar. Turkish Flame definitely delivered. I would highly recommend them and will be back the next time I'm in the Tampa/Clearwater area. This is small restaurant in Indian Rocks beach that has both indoor and outdoor seating. They do have a small parking lot that accommodates roughly 5-6 vehicles. So if it's a busy day you may need to find public parking. I was fortunate enough to grab a spot in their lot right in front of the restaurant. The meatball platter was delicious! The meat and rice were cooked to perfection and packed with flavor, it was paired with a salad that had a light dressing but full of flavor. They also have a wide variety of wines. Service was fast and friendly. We never had to ask for a water refill they anticipated the needs of the table. We ended our meal with a Turkish coffee that was strong and delicious! Exactly what you want in a Turkish coffee. My friend got a tea and she said that was also delicious. Their kabobs are delicious and seems like a popular place for their pots... admittedly not a fan of those pot pies , but mainly cause it was filled with green and red peppers. I spent the Saturday afternoon enjoying the Yelp Elite event at the lovely Turkish Flame! I tried the babaghanoush and lamb shish kebab. The meal reminded me of my time in Europe and I highly enjoyed the set up of the appetizers set up with a cold section and hot section. I wish I had room for the oven hot hummus but will be back to try. The staff were very accommodating and the atmosphere inside was lovely and quaint. This place is a must try in my book. I was visiting from California and my family decided to stop by for the first time. I was blown away from the amount of selections they have. From various kebabs and delightful seafoods it's hard to decide. The staff absolutely amazing!!! Several people had the falafel platter, and I enjoyed the vegetable casserole. There was quite a bit of salad on the platters, which helps break up the heaviness of the falafel and meat. My vegetable casserole had an a delicious amount of spices, which made it pop. The persons were quite large as well so we all had leftovers! I popped in for to go food on opening day and we totally enjoyed it! The staff were very gracious and helpful, making excellent recommendations for the appetizer sampler. Bora, the owner, let me get a picture with him and welcomed me to his new restaurant! It's beautiful inside with very nice decor and a definite upscale feel. After ordering, I was offered some complimentary Turkish tea for my wife and myself well I waited. It was delicious! I waited inside and chatted a bit and then a typical Florida afternoon thunderstorm hit. Luckily, I had a mini umbrella so when the staff helped me take the food to the car in the downpour, I prevented the food from getting soaked! The falafel was probably the best falafel I've ever had, but at $12.95 for 4. I'd have to think twice about ordering again even though it was phenomenal. Everything else on the menu was very reasonably priced. Have the Baba Ganoush, Hummus , and the Shepard's Salad. Bubba Ganoush is always my favorite and this was definitely delicious, but the hummus was a home run! I generally can take or leave hummus, as I find it to be too sour on most occasions. Not so with this hummus. Flavor was an 11 out of 10! Shepherd's salad was also a standout! Now, the Chicken Casserole, chef's kiss! Incredibly well developed flavors! The service was very friendly and very attentive. We chose to sit outside on the patio and I would say this is my one slight criticism. The patio really lacked ambience. Not because of the decor, but it just was not inviting. Some potted plants and planter boxes lining the top of the railing would do wonders and make the patio every bit as inviting as the inside. Stopped in after a relaxing beach walk during happy hour on a chilly Florida day with my girlfriend, and Turkish Flame did not disappoint. I had the lentil soup, which was delicious, along with the grape leaves--both were excellent. Since it was happy hour, all appetizers and drinks were half off, which was a great bonus. The service was great and very attentive, and the ambiance is very nice with both indoor and outdoor seating right by the beach. They have a wide variety of food options, whether you're looking for a quick bite or a full upscale meal. As someone who's Turkish, I can confidently say there aren't many good Turkish food options on the beach, and this place truly stands out. Dolma were particularly sweet and delicious. Labneh tasty but not that thick. Bean salad OK but we didn't finish it, so maybe it wasn't our favorite. We both enjoyed the spicy bulgur. I loved the many cucumber and tomato slices on the platter and ate all of them. I ordered the vegetable casserole entree and requested they hold the pie-crust covering. I found the peppers and sauce in the casserole too spicy, so I fished out all the mushrooms and potatoes and left the sauce and peppers. We were glad to see Turkish Flame was able to open again after the hurricanes as not all of our family had a chance to try it before the storms came through. We intentionally tried different dishes across our family so we could give different things a try. We didn't find ourselves disappointed. We started with the Stuffed Grape Leaves, Oven Bakes Hummus with Soudjouk, and the Homemade Cheese Pie. All three of these appetizers were delicious and easy for our group to enjoy. For dinner my husband went with the Traditional Lamb Adana Kebab. The dish had great flavor and was cooked well. He liked the mix used for the rice pilaf over just plain rice. I went with the Doner Kebab (traditional Turkish Gyro). I'm a fan of the thinly sliced meat when it has a great sear/crispness to the pieces and this was done well here. The portion was generous and I had no problems sharing with my husband. My youngest went with the Lamb Casserole. The presentation of the dish is unique with a thin layer of dough baked on the top of this clay pot - essentially keeping in the heat and helping the meat in the dish stay tender. The clay pot also kept the temp of the dish really hot so be patient and let it cool a bit before you dig in! My oldest tried Iskender Kebab. While it was the same beef/lamb meat combo as my dish, the tomato sauce was a nice option for something different with the taste along with the yogurt sauce. We split an order of the Pistachio Baklava which was perfect knowing how sweet that dessert is. Our meal was delicious, our only challenge was the service was on the slower side as they had a full restaurant and two servers managing all the patrons. Our server was great, he just had a lot he was juggling. Given the size of the restaurant is small, it is best to make reservations. They've done a nice job creating an intimate environment with the space they are working with for the dining room. When the weather is nice, they offer outdoor tables as an option as well.
