Every meal comes with salad Greek or Caesar or the soup of the day which as a soup hater I love Greek islands soups every time. I love there Greek potato's and cooked veggies that come on the sides of most meals.I also love the rice on the side. I also cant live without there appetizers I love the calamari and saganiki which is cheese they cook in front of you and you have with pita bread. All of the severs are so sweet just like the owners always quick and check on how your meal is. The walls have beautiful murals of Greece. We were driving past Abbotsford on a Sunday evening and needed a place for dinner. Thanks to the Yelp App we foudn this great place, we were pleased with our choice. The food was great, the rice is particularily good at this restaurant. The kids meals were very large and well liked. So as my second experience draws to a close, I base my review on two different occasions. First time had Kalamari and rack of lamb with house Greek wine and concluded with coffee and baklava. Kalamari was good but not exceptional. Starter Greek salad was with one olive and lacking dressing. The rack of lamb was exceptional. Tonight's meal was stuffed mushroom caps (exceptional), soup and starter Greek salad (salad was consistent with the last time. The main course chosen was Thallasopkia. I may have got the spelling wrong but this was EXCEPTIONAL! !! Don't be afraid to ask for traditional meals. This one has the WOW factor. Concluded meal with coffee and Creme Brule. Perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant. Come hungry as the portions are large. read more

Excellent Greek food, a little pricy for my budget, but definitely worth every bite. Their Greek roasted potatoes are to die for (I'd eat a whole plate of nothing but, if I could!) an their Greek salad is amaaaa-zing. They serve it with a creamy Greek dressing, which I would lick right off the plate if I weren't in public. I think they should sell the dressing to-go like some other restaurants do! There are two locations in Abbotsford and one in Chilliwack, all family owned. I haven't tried the Chilliwack location, but the two Abby ones are pretty much interchangeable. Service has always been excellent in my experience, the owner quite often asks us about our meal. This location is typically only open for dinner, the other location is open for lunch, and I find service to be a bit lacking as it is so busy. I'll leave that for a review of the other location though. Reservations are highly recommended, but if not, I still find it worth the wait if you have the time. read more

Not impressed with this restaurant!!!! I attended your Surrey establishment with my partner on Friday April 28th, 2017. I must say I have never left a restaurant so dissatisfied and shocked by the quality of food and lack of customer service. After a minute of waiting for someone to greet us, we were taken to our table and patiently waited for our server. I had heard great reviews about the restaurant from my partner who was very excited to take me here. We both ordered drinks, 2 appetizers and our dinner entrees. The appetizers I did eat were pretty good. I had almost completed my salad when I found dead lady bug lingering at the bottom of my plate. I'm not sure how others would feel about this situation but I was completely disgusted. We informed our server who apologized and another individual sat down at our table to apologize for the incident. This individual informed us that the "salad ordered by the restaurant is pre-washed and is not washed again by restaurant staff". We were told that dessert would be "on us" and to enjoy the rest of our night. But who really has much of an appetite after finding a bug in their meal and now questioning the cleanliness of the restaurant. However, I tried to eat as much as I could so I didn't ruin the mood of our date and upset my partner for suggesting this restaurant. The whole incident left me and my partner in a sour mood and not wanting to have the dessert offered to us. We asked for the bill and to my surprise were not compensated for the meal I received given my experience. My partner paid for the meal and I left the establishment very much disappointed. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with the service I received that night, and my experience at your establishment ended on a very negative note. I have written to the establishment and unfortunately no reply back. If you don't particularly mind finding bugs in your food, I'd give this place a try. read more

I have been to this restaurant twice now. This time was not as pleasurable. I had ordered the NY 8oz with lobster. While we were waiting, we were served our drinks with too much ice. We had asked before hand just a little, but again too much ice. Our soups and salads were great. Everyone was served there dinner but myself, apparently they had over cooked my steak. The manager apologized and served my dinner personally. The waitress was over attentive to our glasses of water and there was a chill in the room. As a foreigner who came to Abbotsford for business I was given several recommendations for a good meal from local residents. At the top of the list was The Greek Islands. I came to this wonderful restaurant with five of my coworkers anticipating a fine Greek meal. Much to my surprise, my group was greeted by Niko (the owner of this fine establishment) who proceeded to welcome us, and give us his personal recommendations for the evening meal. We each took his advice, and were treated to THE finest Greek lamb I've experienced outside of Greece. In addition, Niko spent a great deal of time personally attending to our table to make sure we experienced the hospitality of his Greek culture! He also made sure to bring this personal touch to every table in his restaurant. I look forward to coming back to this gem in Abbotsford. Thank you Niko! read more

This place is the best restaurant i have been to. I moved here 20 years ago from Montreal and i admit I was spoiled there, Montreal having the best food in Canada. There are not a lot of good places to eat in BC was the first thing I noticed . But Greek Island is hands down the best in fact better than the food back home. The prices are perfect for the amount of food you get. The quality is out of this world. This place is refreshing. The restaurant is nice and cozy. But was awesome is the service. The server we had was the nicest lady ever. She made the meal even better. Then the owner came out to say hello and asked how everything and he was so sweet too. I wish i could give this place 100 stars. Way to go Greek Island...so well done!!! You have to eat here!!!!! read more
